Usually the female characters will still be played by conventionally attractive actresses, just decked out in glasses, frumpy/"unfashionable" clothing and given a ponytail or "weird" hairstyle (or they're not actually overweight) whereas there's a bit more leeway, from what I've seen, with male characters, who are more likely to actually be played by overweight or less "conventionally handsome" actors. So it's surprising that they didn't do that in this movie too.
Their idea of a loser is someone sensitive, dedicated to their health and wellbeing, artistic, attractive, and generally a good person. But they don't like all people so they must be undatable.

As someone who actually works as a farm hand at a stable, part of our training is in martial arts. Horses are big animals so we work out so we can absolutely annihilate them in karate, judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu if it comes to it. We are also taught how to do the perfect Debbie Ryan smirk to catch them off guard and stun them into submission
tbf about Cams muscles, there was a girl in my class at upper secondary high school who took care of horses and she was seriously muscular. She was really self concious about it, but she was more bulky than ripped (she did have visible abs though). When she told me she felt bad about it, I was in shock. She looked amazing! But yeah, all that shoveling hay and horse poop does help to build muscles.

the best bad movie i’ve ever seen is called “Yakuza apocalypse.” my homie and i picked it up at dollar tree and now it’s my most prized possession, it’s about the Yakuza who are also vampires and then like 20 more plots happen one by one. there is so much just crammed into one movie that the apocalypse part is barely mentioned and totally avoidable. please for the love of god look this up it’s worth it.

Kourtney was the highlight of this movie for me. Like I loved how ironic her role was and how bad the acting was. If all the roles were as ironic as Kourtney's this movie could've been a cult classic in a few years.

8:23 obligatory film student comment: this shot is especially weird because of the angle & effect they used. we’re looking at her from the pov of the guy she’s talking to (we’re supposed to be seeing the scene out of his eyes, basically) but the shot makes it incredibly evident that we’re looking through a camera because human eyes don’t see like that. The background along with most of her body is far blurrier than it should be, she’s super close to the camera (instead of the camera zooming in) and it doesn’t feel natural. That kind of distortion puts you on edge in a way that makes an objectively innocent scene feel like it’s about to go horribly wrong.

@Sir Greg I agree with you there is nothing bad with being an introvert; I don't believe in those terms (introverts and extroverts) because of my personal experience I was always more of an introvert same goes for my circle of friends only one of us was an extrovert. When I started hanging out with more people and getting out of my comfort zone (with the help of my extrovert friend) I stopped being so shy and I also improved my social skills. I still want to be alone sometimes but now I feel comfortable meeting new people when I feel like it. That is not to say that I don't respect people that are introverts and want to keep to themselves I just think that we can improve ourselves and learn to be more social when we want to.

That is exactly the kind of drama people live for on the internet, and it being real would make people flock to it. He would have initially lost followers, but as the outrage faded the fact that he name was blasted a bunch would have probably made him also gain followers in the long term. The best representation of social media I’ve seen in a movie was in Spree, a horror/thriller movie on Netflix. The actual movie itself is meh, and it practically beat the watcher over the head with the message, but the social media was pretty accurate.

tbf about Cams muscles, there was a girl in my class at upper secondary high school who took care of horses and she was seriously muscular. She was really self concious about it, but she was more bulky than ripped (she did have visible abs though). When she told me she felt bad about it, I was in shock. She looked amazing! 8:23 obligatory film student comment: this shot is especially weird because of the angle & effect they used. we’re looking at her from the pov of the guy she’s talking to (we’re supposed to be seeing the scene out of his eyes, basically) but the shot makes it incredibly evident that we’re looking through a camera because human eyes don’t see like that. The background along with most of her body is far blurrier than it should be, she’s super close to the camera (instead of the camera zooming in) and it doesn’t feel natural. That kind of distortion puts you on edge in a way that makes an objectively innocent scene feel like it’s about to go horribly wrong.

@Sir Greg I agree with you there is nothing bad with being an introvert; I don't believe in those terms (introverts and extroverts) because of my personal experience I was always more of an introvert same goes for my circle of friends only one of us was an extrovert. When I started hanging out with more people and getting out of my comfort zone (with the help of my extrovert friend) I stopped being so shy and I also improved my social skills. I still want to be alone sometimes but now I feel comfortable meeting new people when I feel like it. That is not to say that I don't respect people that are introverts and want to keep to themselves I just think that we can improve ourselves and learn to be more social when we want to.

That is exactly the kind of drama people live for on the internet, and it being real would make people flock to it. She would have probably gotten a ton of extra creepy or misogynistic messages, but the traffic it generated would have grown her metrics.
He would have initially lost followers, but as the outrage faded the fact that he name was blasted a bunch would have probably made him also gain followers in the long term.
This is why there is so much fake relationship drama from influencers. The algorithms emphasize and recommend things based on engagement, and painful drama is very engaging.

The best representation of social media I’ve seen in a movie was in Spree, a horror/thriller movie on Netflix. The actual movie itself is meh, and it practically beat the watcher over the head with the message, but the social media was pretty accurate.
