Hello everyone! Roxane and I took a couple days off this week since Tuesday was our anniversary. We wanted to relax and get some small things done around the house that was needed. We did get a really awesome surprise! We heard some small chirps coming from the chicken coop. We investigated and found the source!. So exciting! Thank you all for being here, we appreciate you! Enjoy.

Mark the eggs now and you can get the fresh ones..🇺🇸🌹❤️
GETTING ORGANIZED MAKES HOME SEEMS MORE PERMANENT. LILLIAN IS JUST SO ADORABLE
New verses for the farm song aka 12 days of Xmas: “3 chicks a peepin’, new puppy yippin’, all the frogs a croakin’, whipperwills a singin’ and the crickets chirpin’ all night long!” 🎶🎶😂
Happy Mother’s Day Anthony You’re being such a good mother to those baby chicks !!!!
CONGRATS HOW SWEET AND PRECIOUS
Maybe dip there beak in the water and food then they can handle it from there.
😊
Ditto on candling the eggs before you put them in the incubator. Or you risk having bad eggs explode in the incubator.
Don't be embarrassed about your laundry room, it's the most regular room for storage and life.
Roxanne, when you get your rabbits, be sure to save the rabbit manure to use for fertilize. It's all you need to grow really nice tomatoes & peppers. Just make a deep hole, drop in a little rabbit pooh, & cover with a thin layer of compost soil, set the plant, & watch it grow. But get your plant support ready, as plants will grow past. This is how Living Traditions Homestead grow their tomatoes. They have U-tube videos showing how they do it. They teach as they plant. Good Luck & Happy Gardening. 😊 ❤
Since you have the incubator, you could candle the eggs an put as many as possible in to finish. Getting rid of the rotten ones, marking any left for the hens. Just difficult to figure how much longer till hatch day. Good luck. Great job on everything. Happy Mother's day Rox.
I don’t they’re aware of the “Lock Down” period. Jeff’s going to love it when an egg explodes inside his incubator!
If CRC reads this lock down is done on the 18th day and the humidity is increased. You need to read up on that.
Also read what Trudy says about candling. That will tell you which eggs are bad and hopefully prevent a nasty explosion in the incubator.
Personally I would scrap the incubator plan. It’s not going to be a fair experiment/experience to all involved.
Yay, babies! Thats exciting.
It’s so nice to see y’all relax into your “Life on the 41.36” instead of the never ending to-do list of working on the house. I’m looking forward to seeing Ant start his creative woodworking projects, as well as tending his growing animal farm. Also looking forward to Rox sharing more home making tips, recipes, crafts, and gardening.
I enjoy a cup of coffee with y’all in the morning as you do the daily vibe. Y’all don’t hear me but I do talk to you. Mostly it’s comments about how pretty the scenery is, or how cute the animals are, how good the garden looks… Keep up the good work guys!
Yay baby chicks. I love that you guys are getting settled in.
Baby chickens are so cute. Hoping for more to hatch.
Love the chicks, so cute. And Anthony mothering them was so cute as well, I’m grinning like a fool watching him, love it 😊😊👍🌸
Hey Roxy. I'm so glad to see how well your garden is coming along.
A good tip after weeding is to surround the plants with straw, which is an excellent mulch, keeps the weeds suppressed and protects the soil from drying out too much! 🎉😊😊😊
Aren't those baby chicks cute! I would think you'll get more then 3 for sure. Lillian is so cute, I could hear her whining for her mama! It won't be long & your garden will really be jumping up from all the rain! Have a great weekend guys!
Baby chick drama is my favorite kind of drama :) You're doing great with the very first chicks you've helped hatch!
🙋🙃👍have a great mother's day ❤️💐
My friend has a freeze drier and she freeze dried sliced cucumbers and put dried Ranch seasoning mix on them before putting them in the freeze drier( She saw it on the RUclips). They come out like chips! They are addicting! She sells them at craft shows. If you in the future get a freeze drier you can do that.
Happy Mother's Day ya'll (especially Anthony- teehee). He was so cute taking care of those babies. You and Roxanne and Wyatt have a beautful weekend.
Baby chicks! How exciting! Glad you had somewhere to put them after they hatched. I've always lived in the country but we've never had chickens. My daughter is raising some now on her 1.25 acre lot. She has learned a lot about them. One time she turned juvenile chickens into the pen with the adults and they killed every one of the younger ones. It was a tragedy but she learned she couldn't do that. Glad you have Jeff around to help you!
So excited for you guys and your little chick's ❤ You guys are now grandparents to them ❤️
Rox Yes I thought You need to plant some flowers in with your garden They help pollinate and make your plants grow bigger Marigold are awesome
Yay for no dangerous heat lamp! 👍 Radiant heat is so much better and safer.
The chicks are so sweet, but that wee puppy - oh my heart! 🥰🥰 Precious
Farmers Ant ❤ Rox 😊
CRC & SLR Mtn sounds like a farm!

Happy Birthday baby chickens!
Happy Mother's day Roxanne 💖 💛 💕
Hi Anthony & Wyatt!!
That brooder needs to be raised up!
Yep that is corn! Hope you have a great crop! My daughter grew a variety, I forgot what kind, but it tasted best right off the stalk, raw! So sweet!
Congratulations 🐣. Your learning too. Nice to have Jeff there for to help you out. So exciting. Good luck. Happy Mother’s Day to you Roxanne. Have a wonderful weekend. Take care✌️🇺🇸❤️
They can't get under the heat plate.
What do you know
good plan
One way to tell if an egg is edible is to drop into a glass/deep bowl of water. If it sinks, means it doesn't have an air sack developing, which means it's ok to eat. It if floats, mean the chick is starting to develop. I recommend checking all those remaining eggs. You really don't want a rotten egg to explode. I strongly recommend candling all the eggs. It's easy to see a freshly laid egg with no chick development.
That is a horned toad. Thank you for taking him to his habitat. They are getting harder and harder to find.
It"s cute to see a "manly" man like Ant go all happy about his cute fluffy chicks. He has such a soft side. It"s fun to see. Those chicks are really cute. He"s a good Mama LOL.
You could put mother with the babies in the cage
You aren't going to believe the flavor of a fresh-picked carrot.
Those chicks are absolutely adorable.
Happy Mother's Day Roxanne I hope your mother's day is special and the baby chicks are just adorable

Hello 🤗 congrats on the baby chicks 🐣 nice Anthony getting a few projects done 👍 have an awesome weekend & HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ROXANE 🌷
Everything seems to be going good! Now it must be really feeling like a home with very little debt. Y'all are doing a great job on living the good life. 🐣🐤🐔🐓🐕🐕🐕😁
How exciting to have new baby chicks. ❤❤
Assure you Shield them from the wind, especially at night when the nights are cool. Make sure you do that in their new home, put some plywood right round.
I think the utilities for the mini splits will be cheaper than window units. IMHO
Don't be embarrassed Rox, you're still in process of getting things finalized the way you want them. It's fine.
That has got to be one of the cutest puppies on You Tube.
Love watching your videos you all are so down to earth living the best life love it your my favorite RUclips family
I know there is a lot of excitement when the babies start arriving. It might be a good idea to raise the brooder up a notch so they can walk under it. Y'all are doing such a great job!
I was thinking the same thing and it looked like pellet feed and they need crumble
Oh how fun...baby chicks, garden, puppy. Enjoy😊
Baby chicks! So cute! Excellent solution for baby chicks. ❤❤❤
Congratulations on the new puppy and chick's. It's obvious that they are making both of you happy. And life's little pleasures are some of the best.
You might want to slant the warmer so they can go underneath better.
Little Lillian is so precious! Congrats on the itty bitty chicks.
You could also 'candle' the eggs. Basically hold them up against a light source and see, if there are veins or a shadowy moving being :)
Baby 🐤. So cute ! Happy Mothers day Roxanne. Anthony nice job on the hole . Hugs to Wyatt 😊
How amazing.. ❤
I would love to have a love that you have.
I am 51 and single for 15+ years. Cancer surviving, etc…
So happy to see you all love each other and work together.. ❤
Love the chicks.I love the way your so excited for them
Baby Chicks are Beautiful 🐣🐣🐣
You will need to thin out those carrots, when they get a bit bigger, best thing is to not water your garden in the heat, first thing in morning and later in the day, as the leaves will burn, Happy Mothers Day Roxanne
When we have baby chicks, we put instant coffee in their water to keep tkem from sleeping themselves to death.. a trick my mother-in-law taught me, all of hers thrived doing this 😊 Happy Mother's Day Roxanne 🎉
Well you have answered the age-old question. Which came first? The chicken or the egg. Now we know it was the egg. Hugs to Y'all
I always sleep better with the night sounds of the south. That would be the frogs and crickets etc. It makes me relaxed and cozy. The only thing better is Thunder.
Lillian is still a baby...she needs her sleep! 😊 She is so cute ! Things look so good. You are almost there 100 percent.
You guys have cime so far in just 2 years. It's amazing what you have accomplished and the skills you have acquired. Anthony can buuld anything now. I'm glad you got the house cool, it's been hot lately. Baby chicks are adorable.
Yay babies. Lots of new life around your home lately. Stay safe.
Anthony you can wipe the cardboard down with vegetable oil to waterproof it.SEMPER FI
You love your baby chicks. It is delightful to say the least.
When mu grandparents were still alive, they had a massive garden and I remember them mounding all the cucumbers, squash of any sort, watermelon, egg plant... any viney sort of thing. Of course, it would need a bigger space to put in mounds. But, I remember all the wonderful food that came out of their garden!
Such a busy day doing all the chores. Great work on covering the whole for the Starlink Cable Anthony. Really impressed. Happy Mothers Day Roxanne. I hope you have a lovely relaxing day and your menfolk do all the cooking. I always think that's the best mothers day gift. Much as I love to cook, a day off occasionally is always a treat.
So excited for you both, new babies chicks. How much fun. ENJOY
Great things being accomplished here! So many 'loose ends' being tied up.
Rox, I have a small solution for your abundance of chicken eggs! I recently saw on a video where a gardener used whole eggs (un-cracked) under her veggy roots to help them grow better. After digging the hole to the desired depth, you carefully set an egg in it without cracking it open and gently drape the veggy roots over the egg. Refill the hole with dirt. Don't tamp the ground by stepping on it, you don't want to crack the egg. Gently tamp with hand, then water as usual. In time the egg will break down on it's own. 😊 Aparently, the calcium and nutrients in the egg are beneficial for the plant.👍
Another tip was to put 2 aspirin tablets in a spray bottle filled with water, let dissolve then spray both veggies and flowers with it. 😊😊❤
WOW, baby chicks😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉 So exciting 😊 Look at Lillian she is just sleepy. 😂 She’s the baby not the chicks😂. Anthony that wire looks so nice. Great job. 😊
Great idea to cover the hole for the star link modem, Ant! Very decorative. And Roxy, you plants are really doing nicely, won’t be long before you can enjoy some garden fresh vegetables!
CONGRATULATIONS! Country Road Cure, let me introduce you to NECESSIITY! The mother of invention! lol Baby Chick High Alert! ❤❤
Oh how cute baby chicks. I wish I could have chickens.😊💕
I hate heights too. Everytime I have to get on a roof it's a major confrontation of fears to get there.
You could candle the eggs to see which ones are viable. And get out the new ones that are hatched every day. Been there and it's all a learning experience. Good luck.
Yeah! Baby chicks!!!
You might think about sister growing (corn, squash, green beans) 😊 happy gardening 👩🏻🌾
You can use feather dusters in with the chicks, they snuggle into the feathers for warmth together.
Just in time for Mother's Day, God Bless !
Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother’s Day Roxanne!!! ✌🏻❤️
