- Hello everyone. Roxane and I are working on getting the kitchen cabinets dry fitted in the Shed to Cabin. We need to make sure everything fits well before we screw them in place. We did have to go back to town to exchange a certain cabinet because we messed up and bought the wrong one. Roxane paints to make sure she likes the color she has chosen, but....She is not so sure anymore. Thank you all for being here, we appreciate you. Enjoy!

Save the piece you cut out for the sink and you can make a nice cutting board out of it.
Can also make a couple of trivets (or hot plate holders) with it.
Good idea.
Or cover the sink like they do in rv’s for extra counter space 🤷🏼♀️
Having a cabinet right outside your door is no different than having a door just open into a hallway. It's gonna be fine!
I agree! We have a hall to our bedroom. There isn’t any difference between that and you having a cabinet. The only thing different is, we have to walk further to get past the wall than if it was a cabinet. It is fine. Love the white paint. You will love 💕 the butcher block counter top. Looks great guys. ❤
You might want to consider putting the upper cabinets in first. You won't be needing to climb over the bases. Upper cabinets can usually be turned upside down so the doors open in the direction you desire. Your set up looks really nice. I would point or stain them in place. Love the white as it goes nicely against the dark ceilings.
I also saw another builder talking about doing uppers first. It makes it easier to hold them in place while nailing in. The white will look great once everything is done..
Yes and use a ledger board to help to put it up and so it can rest on it while you screw to wall.
My new home has all white cabinets over 23 uppers and lowers with a huge center island with pull outs and drawers. I also have a white marble quartz counters and they look as nice as when built 3 yrs ago. I think you will love the white & I think you needed the contrast & it was a great design decision to go with white Roxanne. So happy Roxanne will have her kitchen done soon! Everything is turning out great & have been so thrilled to hear you are back on utube! Thank God because thousands were praying for your family!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Blessing’s
Thank you Bob!😊
Women are a blessing and a lesson in patients. ❤
Came on here Friday and found CRC is back on you tube. In the search bar. Amen
I'm so happy
I am sorry that you had to go through so much stress this week and am so happy that the channel has been returned to you. I have been playing your shed to house playlist all morning on a few devices so that you can get more ad revenue. Every little bit helps, so they say.
That's a great idea!
The most important part of any kitchen is the cook. No cook and you don’t need a kitchen. My cook and I have been married 47 years and she would not have been as patient as you Rox about the kitchen. Going to look really good. 👍
Glad we can view Country Road Cure Again!😊
I love the cabinet color, it ties in with your stove...
That's a temporary stove, they're getting stainless.
I'm so glad y'all are back. Thank you Jesus, Amen 🙏
The white is going to look fabulous.
White cabinets are timeless. Trust the process Roxanne. You will love your choice in the end
So glad your back
Put a sliding towels rack in the gap under the counter top near the fridge!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're Back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Rox, I would think about an 18" cabinet on each side of the stove to allow easier access to the lazy susan in the corner. Plus, more room if someone is at the sink and stove at the same time. Just an idea. Looks great.
love that idea
Exactly what I was thinking.
I thought the same thing.
Yes, it gives you more prep space beside the stove and near the sink too.
Totally right and align the sink and cabinet with the window.
I started rewatching with the commercials.
Love the white!! You can find some pretty green glass door handles that will tie in with your green wall!! Will be gorgeous!
If you pull your pantry forward and put a filler on the back left side then you could put your broom behind the pantry. I stuck some styrofoam behind mine so the broom would be reachable. 👍😍
I was thinking the same thing
@@suzieq1024 LOL Me too. Great minds thing alike. Plus, I would always be bumping into that corner that sticks out next to the pantry.
That sounds like a good idea.
White is classic and allows you to decorate your space in any colors you want.
As someone who lives in an apartment above an office that doesn’t have a vent above the stove, I can say a vent is desperately needed! I have to open a window, regardless of weather, and turn on a ceiling fan to try and keep the apartment from filling up with smoke anytime I use a frying pan.
The butcher block looks good
White always looks fresh and clean, easy to see when they need cleaning
You can freeze your eggs for baking! Simply crack them into ice trays, freeze them solid, then pop the into freezer bags.
Can you scramble them and freez them?
That works great
@@FlaGrown1955 yes you can
I freeze mine in snack bags..no need to use ice trays. A snack bag holds 3 eggs.
😳I've never heard that! That's too cool!...and good to know!
So glad you got your channel back! I ❤ watching your progress! It looks more homey each episode! ✌🏼
I had an idea that maybe your interested in, what if you put a tall skinny hidden cabinet behind your tall pantry that you can hide your brooms and dusting items in. You can maybe do it with scraps of wood you might have and it would make all your cabinets even in the front. 😊
Whatever yall like. Its your kitchen 😊
You can feed eggs to the Chickens, cats and dogs can have some great coats. The kitchen will look great.
Good work Roxanne and Anthony You get your channel back ❤
I love the white as it has a clean look about it plus it's not boring. Also will give the area of the kitchen it's own area. It separates the kitchen area from the living room area. So far looking good.
When you cut out the sink hole. Try and save the cut out piece for a cutting board. I do love wood countertops. Most over the stove microwaves just blow back in the house. My only problem I’ve had is to much heat from oven sets off heat warning on microwave and the fan automatically kicks on and blows hard. It’s terrible but a safety thing.
I’m glad you got your channel back and I hope whomever did this pays for it.
So happy to see you all back
Adding upper cabinet first will be easier than putting bottom first. You can reach and hold without the lower cabinet being in the way.
Save some eggs to put under your newly planted starts...it will decompose under the plant and add nutrients to help them grow!
I had a microwave that had the vent in it, loved it, worked great! Cabinets are going to be so nice, a real game changer.
Stayed in a cabin in Pigeon Forge that had a vent in the microwave. Was surprised how well it worked!
I think once the butcher block is in the white looks good. Remember, you can always have the painted tinted at the store for a color you might like. Take care and God bless.
I think the same. And the butcherblock is little darker with the wax. Together they mach perfect.
The kitchen is Coming Together!! WhooHoo!! If you want White cabinets Roxane then go for what you chose, NICE LOOKING..TRULY!! Any color paint on cabinets can get dirty.. You will make the right choice that fits Your taste & design. Maybe Anthony could cut out the sink area, you could use the stuff you got for the butcher block, lay that piece along where white cabinet is and see how it looks...Keep that piece for later!! When you have family get Together's, can be placed on sink area for buffet style serving..?? If not make a couple cutting boards ?? Just a thought... GOD BLESS & TAKE CARE!! Say Hello to Wyatt too...
I'm so happy your channel is back up and running
I got excited when you pushed in the corner cabinet !Roxanne was just smiling ! Happy times !
The trick to hanging top cabinets is screwing a level board where the base of the cabinets rests. That’s how cabinet makers hang them
ROXY, YOUR EDITING IS IMPECCABLE & BEAUTIFUL!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Your channel is back. I believe that makes for a great weekend! Happy Good Friday!!
Your back so pleased for you guys , must off been such worry xx
I think your cabinet looks great and I'm sure when you start carefully cleaning them, they will clean up nice, like the brochure says. Love it that you are finally getting a nice kitchen. See you later.
The kitchen is my favorite room in the house. I'm very excited to see your kitchen coming together. 💐❤️🎉
The space between the refrigerator and the the sink you can use it maybe to put your cookie sheets or any racks that you may have. I think that would be a good idea. Keep up the good work❤
i have that feature, love it
Roxi you'll want the cabinet with door next to the stove for your pot cabinet. Beside cabinet and your bedroom door, paint or add erase board for shopping list and calendar. Glad you found the oil for the butcher block counters. You can 7se it on your wood kitchen table as well.
The range hood has been a nightmare in my kitchen remodel 48" ones all have vents and my stoves on an inside wall that has no way to vent up to attic and roof, so it has to vent between upper level floor joist.
Preserve eggs, crack open and freeze whole or cook breakfast burritos and freeze them. Food prepping. I scrabble 16 dozen eggs and made 60 burritos for easy breakfast. Also great for when you have a bunch to feed if you have company. Quish can use alot of eggs.
Don't forget when you have tons extra you can scramble them shells and all and feed back to your chickens
Very happy for you all 😊
I scramble eggs to feed my chickens when I have too many. They love them and it's free food!
Happy to see you back again! Shame on some people.........
The cabinet base would be great as an island
So glad you’re back! Praying for you! Take Care 😊
I was waiting for this video, because I watched the daily one you guys have.
The white looks good, and once you have all the cabinets painted, you'll be able to tell. You have been right about all other decorating decisions, so trust yourself and go for it.
So glad to see your channel back so soon! Hope they catch those criminals and put them away.
Yes back🇸🇪👍👍❤️❤️
I think the white paint looks awesome. I love a light bright kitchen.
Happy Easter Guys . Love you guys ❤️
I like the white cabinets. All paint shows dirt, you just wipe it off. I have always had white cabinets and loved them...no problem. Handles, things on the counter curtains, a rug will change the look....i think you'll love it ❤
The white will make your kitchen look more spacious 😊
I’m so happy you got your channel back.
Thank GOD YOU'RE BACK LOVE YOUR CHANNEL AND WHAT YOU GUYS DO HIGH FIVE
Too funny, I was excited about the white and then... Byeee
@countryroadcure ROX PAINT THEM WHITE AND ANTIQUE THEM WITH THE DARKER TRIM STAIN. AND USE DARK BRASS OR BLACK HARDWARE.
PLAY WITH THE LITTLE ONE UNTIL YOU LOVE IT. ❤ YOU GOT THIS.
So take it back to the store and have them tint that white paint to whatever color you want that way you don't waste any money.
I've used this paint. It's great and very durable, but they do recommend that you are gentle with the surface area for the paint to have good curing time. Also, before you leave the store, have them shake your paint for you even when you're not tinting it a custom color. I don't remember if this paint can be tinted or not, but if so, and you do ultimately decide it's not the right fit, you may still be able to tint it guys. Happy painting. Looking forward to seeing the progress. ❤
I fold my step stool and keep it in that space between fridge and cabinet. Perfect space
Don't forget to paint the toe kick on the bottom. Paint the sides of the cabinet if it's exposed, especially next to the stove. I like the white...once you add hardware, plus the butcher block countertop, it will look great! Trust the process. Oh! FYI...Paint the top and the underside of the upper cabinets, i know you can't see it, but much easier to clean later on. Believe me it gets dirty up there.
And keep giving David and mike more they can use them
Coming together very good love the white...maybe brown knobs and handles
May I suggest that you hang your broom, mop, etc, in the laundry room. I don't think you would like to walk out of your bedroom every day, and the first thing you see is that stuff. Plus, you'd be seeing them throughout the day also. If you don't want them in the laundry room, you could make about a 6 inch wide cabinet out on your porch, by your laundry room, to put them in. I really like the style of cabinets you chose, very nice.
Keep the white. It will look great when all put together. :))
So happy you're back!!!!!!!!
White is PERFECT👍👍👍👍
So glad your back......
I think you guys got your channel back. Great newws.
I like the white cabinetry. They will blend right in with the stove.
I like the white especially with the butcherblock contrasting
The white cabinet color is great and since you painted the cabinets yourself you can always do touch up if needed 😊
I'm excited for you . Your kitchen is going to be beautiful. Can't wait to see when it's completed .
When my husband and I were redoing our kitchen a couple of years ago we were advised to put the upper cabinets in first and it made it so much easier. Instead of leaning over the bottom cabinets or, kneeling on the bench top to hold the cabinet in place while your partner does the fixing (yep, did that too), you can brace yourself against the wall while you properly place the cabinet to be screwed in. Re the paint colour - I really like the white, but have to admit I thought you might go with the same green you have up the other end of the room. I did our cabinets in a colour called "wheat". It was a sort of palest beige white, a warm white; and after daily assaults by dirty little fingers and spills over 2 years, I can honestly say I'm pleased I didn't go with the pure white. But that's just me. You do you cause that stuff is expensive. I just love the way your home has come along. It reflects all the hard work you have both put into it.
Oh, and it's none of my business - and this is my perspective as someone who lives in a place where it's sunny 90% of the year, but why are you not planning on putting a verandah on the front of the house too? It would cut back on so much 'weather' hitting the front door, would provide an inviting entryway, and a nice spot to sit in the morning sun with your breakfast/morning coffee. As I say, it isn't my place to comment, I was just wondering. I can sure understand why you would like to give the building a miss for a year or two when you've gotten to this stage though. Much love from Queensland AU. 🦘💛
Hello Anthony and Roxanne,
Paint all your cabinets white. It's a good basis to start with. When you wanted to change the colour, the new colour wil come out more prominent.
So good you are back with your channel.
Greetings from the Netherlands😉
Glad you got your channel back.
I like the white cabinets. Glad yall got your channel back. 😊
Melody, you have to stir the eggs gently with a fork. Then, pour them into ice cubes trays. BTW
In the time of plenty, is when you store for when you don't have them. Either ice trays or muffin tins crack them in and freeze then put them in a freezer bag for this winter when you won't have any. No they aren't very good for fried eggs or hard boiled BUT they are amazing for scrambled or cooking and baking with. Good job love the kitchen.
Glad you are back white will look great with your stove
Very nice 😊kitchen back as you wished ...it makes working in kitchen a much more pleasant moment🤗💯
I'm so glad that you went with the color white it's going to look so good
Freeze those eggs for winter, crack them and freeze them in ice cube trays. I love the white cupboard how fresh and pleasing
I love the white. We remodeled my kitchen with white cabinets. They are easily cleaned by using a little dish soap and a cloth. They stay clean especially because you use the knobs and really don't touch the cabinet that much.Your butcher block will look nice with them.
Hello my favorite couple, the cabinets look really good and iam sure whatever you decide Roxanne it will be beautiful. I could feel ur excitement, they say the kitchen is the heart of the home.Great video and look forward to seeing more.❤️🇨🇦🙏
So happy to see you have your channel back! Love the cabinets! Oh my goodness the chickens are laying like crazy!
It's beginning to look like a kitchen. Great job guy's! ❤️
So glad to see y’all back on!!
I really like the white Roxanne, but your the one that has to love,so you do you girl and pick what you love!❤I had Butcher block countertops in our old house in the 80’s-90’s I loved them and I miss them when we change our countertops in this new house(well was new when we bought it in 99 ) that’s what I’m going back to as well,if you buy the spray cleaner and cream to make them look like brand new again they will last you forever and still look new!
I love the white paint on the cabinets! It’s a nice contrast to all that dark wood (which I also love). You’ll have to clean your cabinets no matter what color they are. I’ve had mine four different colors over the years and they all showed the dirt and grime. Go with what you like because no color will spare you cleaning efforts!
Glad to see you're back!!!! Hugs to Y'all
I totally understand your situation with all the eggs. We have a ton and Mike has been taking them into work for the guys out there. Loving the cabinets and the butcher block counter tops! Have a great day guys!
