Nice comprehensive review of the 717e. I'm torn, I've had this one in hand, really put together. My son just picked up a 114ce, hell of a value and sounds much better than expected plugged in. Or do I go with the Martin HD28E Baggs that I haven't held, one of the flagship models of the brand and kind of in the same price range? I also watched another review of the 717e, Trey Hensley, totally worth your time
@@philnoud8638 Did you get it from Sweetwater? How did it play right out of the box? Congratulations on your Taylor...as I write this I have a 314 I bought in 1999....it has bloomed into quite a nice sound, but it took years for it to "open up."
Great review. Wasn't aware that Taylor did this style of guitar, gonna have to give one a go.

I like this guy's style.
Great demo. I just ordered a 717 for myself. No electronics for me though.
How did that work out for you?
@@guitarlusteuphoria4507 it is a very fine acoustic! Love it! Taylor really has it down.

Beware of the ES2 pickup system, it sounds very harsh and brittle.
This is “new” for Taylor but Larrivee has been doing this for decades. It’s pretty much a Larrivee “L” model.
