Great video dude, the breakdown was perfect as always. Funny you mentioned the Elidinis destroying a spider race comment as I have a video on that coming out tomorrow after the skilling boss update. She is now in possession of a very interesting artifact and I think she will be back in Gielinor with this artifact and its abilities may prove some twists in the plot. Really love the channel, dude. There's not enough people with your level of enthusiasm for the lore surrounding Gielinor and the more eldritch worlds/characters. I've actually been playing OSRS again since recently achieving 120 in every RS3 skill, and one thing that caught me off guard is Desert Treasure II, having things like a new extremely powerful god toy for Sliske to obtain, as well as yet another NPC asking if you "really think you can save them" right before dropping a Blackstone fragment. It's really weird to think about what sort of weird effects gods and other powerful beings can have on the world despite Guthix still being alive in that continuity. Can't wait to see RS3 continue the desert line.
I used to do stuff like this, make videos around the lore, but was pushed out because "Nobody wants to see that shit any more" according to the main Video Makers of the RS community. So I stopped and moved on to something else. Doesn't stop me thinking about Runescape Lore all the damn time. I deep dive every time there's a new quest, always thinking about how it could relate to other quests or lore. Nobody wants to hear it from me unfortunately though.

Moonstone is the only thing we know of that can combat and cleanse Erebral energy - hence it cleansing bill and in the new boss fight with the AKH - The soul farer torch seems to contain Moonstone as well
It only makes sense necromancers probably understood that moonstone could help protect them from the magic they were using, which is why it is entrenched in the art and why powerful necromantic enchantments are held in moonstone jewelry to protect the user from their power
I miss Zaros. If he's the new villain, then I'm becoming a villain too. Been Purple since '09, will be to the grave. A 10 hour Zaros quest would be amazing.
I’ll be honest also finding out that icltharin and asmucut were originally tumaken’s and elidnis’s pets before they imbued them with their divine energy to make them into gods was a pretty cool thing to learn too. Also I would like to remind you that the desert in the time of the zarosian menaphite war the desert was a lush tropical forest. It was turned to a desert when tumaken decided to god nuke it at the end of the war when the mahjarrat betrayed them, instead of letting them all go peacefully.
Weren't all divine entities blocked from accessing Gilinor after we reestablish the edicts, and isn't ichtlalin considered one? How was he in the fort?
I think it's more about power and I believe it's gods, not demigods. I could be missing someone, but those who ascended from an elder artifact and born gods are effected.
hmm I thought Guildmaster Tony was manipulated by the Silhouette who serve Zaros, not the Obsidian Tribunal. Although it is a nice reminder that the black stone they give Tony was originally in Zemouregal's possession Biggest surprise for me was the decision to connect devourer akhs to Erebus. Though there is precedent for it with Oreb's connection to Kranon and the renegade Menaphites in the Temple of Aminishi Great video!

LETS F'IN GOOOOOO I'm so glad to be learning more about the pasts of Icthlarin and Amascut; I feel like there's a lot of parallels to the relationship between Seren and Zaros (which is to say, I think there's more than meets the eye to that somewhat sinister expression Icthlarin has in the login screen that got put up for this quest... he's definitely got some darkness in him just as Amascut does).
i legit suspect Seren is Evil lmao and im curious still about elidinis, i wouldnt be suprised if Itchlarin has been compromised, how tired he was in this quest gives him the spotlight for infection
i was suprised because when they did the roadmap reveal i missed that it was gonna be connected to requiem is all! i thought we were steering away from the story to finish the desert
i would say Guthix probably was as physically strong as Zaros - maybe stronger since he seems to have an underworld Arc and knowledge - all of the new gods below Guthix - Elders above - and Xau-Tak above that

What if the gate of elidnis is the template…and going back to the ritual that was mentioned by the order, saying it got rid of your memories and rebirthed you anew, sounds like the needle to me because using that purged you of your memories made you into something different. As for vos, my little head cannon is that he/she was a more powerful elder god then jas but represented the opposite of their creation, being destruction via shadow anima, and the 5 other elders banded together to overthrow him/her. Maybe Vos hailed from Erebus but wasn’t evil just the counter weight to the scale of creation and in their haste to become more powerful the remaining 5 elder gods moved on leaving a broken and beaten vos who remains somewhere furious at the betrayal and has been hatching a plan to get their revenge via xau-tuk…this is all obviously pure speculation but I like to think there’s some shreds of truth in there

Ichtlalin is technically a demi God and was unaffected by the edicts.his power level is not of a God.
