This is an absolute game-changer for me. I discovered it yesterday when working in ACR. The ability to change the RGB tone curve and the individual color channels opens up some amazing possibilities. I do hope this gets added into Lightroom Classic. But for now, I'll be working exclusively in ACR 15 for RAW editing.
Hello Mr. Morganti, I would like to say a few words about the just concluded Lightroom Virtual Summit. I would like to say that your contributions were once again of a high standard and, moreover, were interpreted in the most beautiful voice of all the participants. Thank you very much Jan Vizner.
ACR all the way. I ditched Lightroom a few years back, the best thing I ever did. Basically all the same tools as Lightroom but without that choking feeling that someone has their hands around your neck and won't let you move left or right without permission. Nice to see some camera raw content here.
The real Game Changer is the new HDR they added to Camera Raw! It's only on Mac computers though for some reason. Just look at the difference it makes to a landscape image. It's absolutely incredible! I surprised you haven't seen it yet.
Great video thank you for doing these. Speaking of a feature that it seems no one has done a video on, do you have anything on the Backdrop Creator neural filter in photoshop?
this feature is also available in the photoshop adobe camera raw and not only via the filter but also on a raw file modified via photoshop. Lightroom does warn you that the metadata needs to be updated from disk and does show those updates if you overwrite the setting but you cannot change the curve settings in lightroom develop as it is not available. I hope they add this to Lightroom soon as this curves setting for the mask can be used as a substitute for HSL color adjustments which is not available when using a mask
I thought I had heard about this, but when I tried the new masking tools in LR, there was no access to curves. Weird that they split this out... This is one area Adobe could stand to catch up to Capture One on. When masking, I would love to use not only curves, but HSL too.
Waiting for HSL to be added to masking and then I would use photoshop less. I see Adobe working toward a complete integration of Lightroom and Photoshop as one program
Hi, I'm using version 15.1 of adobe camera raw but the + sign is not showing in the curve tool. I can't incline as I want, can you help me on this issue?
Anthony, I have Lightroom 6 version 9. I have a Canon 80D that produces raw files .CR2. But, my LR will not recognize the raw files. Can you suggest what may be wrong or what I need to do to resolve the issue? That’s so much in advance.
Doug0761- What model Mac are you using that needs to be updated? I ask because my newest Mac is an 2017 iMac 4.2 Ghz i7 QuadCore with 48 GB of DDR4 ram (Model 18,3).

I'm sure you know this but for other's, Lightroom Classic is the younger sibling of Photoshop by more than 15 yrs.

awesome for adobe...how incredible their software year after year.
This is awesome, thanks so much for sharing!

Would love to see an IPad video for LR and PS if you have an IPad Pro.
The tone curve is in the masking section of the new Lightroom Classic 12.0. Don't use this masking stuff but tried today and it is there.
I know everyone will like the curves but best using sliders that are in Lr and not (yet) in masks. The new masking is awesome.
Adobe Camera Raw filter: Lightroom Classic's Develop brother-in-arms, with Tone curve.
Tone curve in the masks? Sounds neat.

I love it, now GIVE ME HSL FOR MASKING PLZ! Haha
Cool!
I hope LR Classic is going to add this in a dot release.

Question - why no curve in LR Classic?
Vary strange the way it's hidden like that. Should be in LR masks as well...
I will need to update my Mac before I can use them😕
