Will this VPN allow me to watch SkyGo whilst not in the UK ?
So I've bought the VPN but having nothing but issues with it - Firefox won't load if it's switched on and then if I split the VPN the Safari doesn't want to load - Also seems to prevent lots of sites opening in Safari namely Google ( I have to tick that I'm not a robot every time) and Paypal. I seem to be constantly switching it on and off. Is this normal? Is there a 'learning' period for the VPN? I use three different browsers Safari, Firefox and Opera as each of them provides something that the others don't.
Why would I give up on 20% battery charge EVERY DAY, instead of losing 3% capacity after 2 years?!
The battery life on my 15 Plus is so good that I’m typically left with over 40% at the end of my day. So, this setting is a welcome addition to me. I also just learned that using low watt chargers preserves the lifespan of the battery so I stopped using 20W+ chargers. Since I keep my phones for 4 years minimum it’s important to me to extend the longevity as much as possible without having to spend money on repairs, that way I’m not dipping in to my trade-in-value.
It depends if you need that 20% or not to get through a day. A lot of people don’t especially when the phone and battery are new and if, like me, you plan to keep your new phone well beyond 2 years then it makes a lot of sense to use this setting. It might be the difference between buying a new battery or not in the future
Because you are rich and change your phone more regularly than me.
Has anybody ever replaced their iPhone because the battery failed??…….no, never.
@@MrGlenndwyer Yes, I have. Lol. When you have a phone that’s a few years old and you faced with the option of getting a new battery or a new phone. most people end up taking the new phone.

Hello, for the predictive text, it is a lot worse for me since Ios 17. Ios 16 was learning quite fast my habit in typing. Since Ios 17, majority of the time, I have to type almost everything except a few word. This has slowed my productivity significantly.

Hello-thanks, made some of your suggested changes to my iPhone 15 Pro-since, noticed problem with my wired CarPlay -I plug in phone- it shows “CarPlay” briefly-on car’s Home Screen it shows name of my iPhone plus “Apple CarPlay”- if I tap on phone name, there’s no access shown to my phone directory-if I swipe screen to be able to tap on CarPlay link, there’s no response when I tap on link-if I disconnect CarPlay, I can access my phone’s directory-wondered if any setting changes I made (correctly or not) could have “buggered things up”?- are you aware of CarPlay problems when new iPhone connected? Thank you.

PIA vpn question.
I currently have NordVPN and it does not change my geo loctaion so that I can watch blacked out sports in my region.
In your video , you say that PIA does do this.
I can make my IP address from anywhere in the world but it won't allow me to view blacked out content in my region.
Will PIA actually do this?
Nord is pretty popular and stable but , I am disappointed by the inability of it to allow me to view Blacked out sports content (which is why I purchased it in the first place).
When driving I prefer to listen to the car satellite radio. But the music app commandeers the audio sometimes. This usually happens when I’m waiting in the car for my wife to pop in to buy a dress and I end up playing solitaire or sudoku. At the end of a game the phone will jump to an ad, then my music app kicks in. Is there any way to change this hijacking default..?? Also, my Apple Maps always gives me the route home every time I start the car. I almost always know my way home, and I don’t appreciate trying to touch that tiny ‘X’ on the screen while driving.
if you set the heif max options in in photo mode. the camera does not take photos that can be edited to portrait - or is it only me?
Do you think the 80%limit comes to iphones like normal 13?
Not sure about 80% charge. My heavy used daily user is an XR, from new now about 4.75 years old and battery health at 92%. My pattern is to charge whenever I can.
I have a 14 Pro Max running iOS 17.0.1 and I do not have the option 'VPN' toggle switch! (I'm from Australia).
It would be great in a future video, if you could explain the different comparison options of internet security with:
- VPN option
- iCloud Private Relay
- Safari Private Tab

I really enjoy videos. Always informative and helpful. However, I find it difficult to make changes to my I Phone due to how fast you are talking. Just one persons opinion.
That VPN setting that you show in your video ain’t available on my iPhone 15 Pro running IOS 17.1.2.
I've stopped using Private Internet Access since all the streaming services I subscribe to detect my VPN and require it to be disconnected before I can access their material. This means that I have access only to what's available in my country.
Why is the 80% limit feature only available on the 15? What, is the 14 not powerful enough or something?

I don’t have the vpn option in my settings…
Ever since I’ve updated to IOS 17 my airdrop has been very hit or miss. I spent about an hour on the phone with support and there is still no fix for me. Has anybody else had issues like this?

Do you have a way for me to tell my devices which one I am talking to when I say "Hey siri"?
My ipad doesn't have a torch so when in the middle of the night I say "Hey Siri, turn on torch" the IPad (thinking it is bigger and therefore more imprtant) responds that "something went wrong".
Ideally the iPad would defer to the iPhone.
(. ... and yes, I know, I probably shouldn't have that many devices in my bed. )
I have same problem with my watch. Whenever I would tell Siri to set a timer on my watch , the phone would create a second duplicate timer. I ended up turning Siri off on my watch.
Some apps make you take vpn off. Hmmm.

Of course you can… In a way, that is. I have a Shortcut set up that rings the alarm when charging reaches 80%. Thereafter it’s my decision whether to go past that limit or not.
@@cipher4uall I do the exact same too, though I'd rather I could just stop it charging like you can on a iPhone 15. I'm sure the device is capable and Apple are just feature crippling the (slightly) older models.

My question is, does anyone know how I can contact Apple to give them a review on a phone because I have a few suggestions that would help me even more. Any information is helpful. My iPhone XR has always went to 80 then stayed for a while before it got to 100 and my battery health hasn’t dropped

Some languages arent supported by the just “Siri” activation. Try setting the language in the Siri settings to English (US) or English (UK) and that should work (I had the same problem). If not, I have no idea

So greedy of apple to keep some software features like 80 percent charge on 15 models. No reason why older models can't have things like that.

Apple writes on their Website: With 80% Limit enabled, your iPhone will occasionally charge to 100 percent to maintain accurate battery state-of-charge estimates.

I’ve been using the 80% feature for about a month and a half on my 15 Pro. It has been fine. It decided on its own to charge to 100% twice over that period.
Most days I still have 30 or 40% charge left, so the 80% limit has not been a problem for me, and I like knowing I’m doing something to preserve the battery capacity. As another commenter said, if I know I will be having a heavy use day, I will turn off the 80% limit the night before.
I recently discovered your channel, and I’m glad that I did. I teach an iPhone class at the local library in Camden County, NJ, and your videos have shown me quite a few tips that I did not know previously. I also want to compliment you on your clear presentation, both visually and audibly.
The hey Siri, Siri option has to be the dumbest use of resources ever at Apple. How that project got any $$$ or engineers is baffling to me

I just use the assistive touch to invoke Siri and than say what I want it to do.
Very useful to be able to use “Hey Siri” while driving.

Instead of making a fading between songs feature which is so unnecessary how about Apple fix their bloody lousy SHUFFLE function which is infuriatingly bad.
I love Apple Music, have always been an Apple fan since the ‘80’s but holy hell their shuffle function is and always has been broken. There is nothing even remotely random about its selection of next song and the more it weights its playlist selection the worse the problem gets.
It’s infuriating!!
