Join me on an eerie journey as I explore a massive Creepy Abandoned Mansion with a Dark Hollywood History. Built in the late 1800s, this historic mansion stands on approximately 10 acres of land, slated for future commercial development, with the unfortunate fate of being demolished. But before it meets its end, let's uncover the secrets hidden within its decaying walls. This abandoned farmhouse mansion has a truly sinister history, having served as the backdrop for several iconic horror movies and even a heartwarming Christmas film. - In 1980, it starred as a funeral home in "Funeral Home: Cries in the Night." - This creepy atmosphere lent itself perfectly to the 1996 movie "Buried Secrets." - If you're a Goosebumps fan, you might recognize it from the 1997 episode "Night of The Living Dummy 3." - And even Hallmark captured its charm in "A Christmas Visitor" in 2002. The mansion's intriguing journey in the real estate market adds another layer to its mystique. Listed for an unbelievable $1 in November 2018, it was around this time that it was left to decay. Fast forward to April 2021, and it was back on the market, this time with a staggering $14,000,000 price tag. Finally, in 2022, it found a new owner for $11,000,000. Join me on this urban exploration adventure through this abandoned mansion, where we'll uncover its cinematic history and experience the eerie ambiance of a place that has witnessed both horror and heartwarming moments. This house is in my neighborhood. I’ve visited it multiple times and it’s really a beauty. There unfortunately really isn’t a way to move it to the heritage street or incorporate it into the proposed plan due to its size so demo it is even though it has SO much history beyond the TV appearances. Imagine a house so important back in the day, trains would stop to let passengers on and off right on the property with the train tracks within some meters from the house. This city has a lot of tucked away abandoned properties ready to explore.
Why was it abandoned in the first place? Are they going to piece it out before demolishing it? Soooo sad. That would be my dream home, if I ever could have one!!
Thank you Brandon (I've already seen his video). That basement stash was very unexpected. It's a beautiful old home and you don't see baseboards like that anymore.
Wow i seriously hope someone saves this place or at least secure it before the little meatheads destroy it, just imagine the upkeep back in the day like repainting all those porches and balconies 😮 definitely a labor of love keeping a house like this.
Your channel and this house popped up on my feed last night. I had to come back this morning first of all say, what a great find this house is to show us. But also just to say how special this house is. Something makes me very sad that this house is gone into disrepair, and no one cares.😔 (subscribed)
I totally loved this old place and the history behind it was an added attraction. You have a great way of bringing out the very best in each and every place that you visit and I can't hardly wait until your next video. Stay safe friend and carry on.
Truly beautiful old home. This is the first video I've seen from your channel. Great content. I subscribed about 5 minutes into the video. Thanks for showing this beautiful place before they tear it down.
Hello Dave a very beautiful house really thought it was cool about all the wine you could store in the basement thank you for bring us along until next time stay safe take care love from upstate New York❤😊
All I can say is WOW!! Love this place ❤ favorite was the hidden stairs to the basement! Awesome! I hope it can be saved. Too beautiful to tear down. Awesome!
@Freaktography words don't describe it. Honestly thought the basement would be little better but still nice and amazing. Water damage does that too houses! Keep up the good job! 👍
Just found you and am so glad! Stunning video. You are so fun and your excited energy is very catching. I love that house. It is so surreal. Praying that it will be somehow saved. My heart is breaking. Till next time love from Oregon.
Thank you for a thorough Explore!!! Loved how you went through from front to back spotlighting each region of the house so the viewer had the concept of the actual layout! So many times hosts randomly film without giving the viewers a point of reference, like living rm, dining rm. etc. The servants qtrs was a real treat. Great Job!!!
Wow ! Just watching this now in Australia 🇦🇺. Such a stunner. Shame about the water damage and that it’ll be demolished. I’m sure this home would hold a lot of stories and secrets, intriguing.
Yo Freak, you should do an update / follow-up episode where you revisit some of the places to see if they've been demolished yet or how much rot and decay has occurred since you were last there and also if you've found out anymore history about the place. I know I'm not the only one who would be interested
Nicest place yet, as far as I've seen. Love the pocket doors. Not a wine expert but I would hazard a guess the wine cellar mold happens when it isn't at proper temp and humidity.
As you panned around, I felt my heart weeping and shattering with the potential loss of this stunning home. At First I thought It had been broken up for apartments. Then I saw the restaurant equipment in the basement and thought there had once been one there...then thought a school or daycare! The use for filming makes more sense. When I see homes like this, I was to restore it back to it's original structure inside and out...except for the kitchen...definitely would need a bit more of an upgrade but not to the point of it looking completely modern. Someone with a heart and shitloads of money would do right by this beauty...and I'm sure bring joy to the spirits of those who loved it before! It will probably be knocked down and crushed, making way for a new neighborhood of overpriced cookie cutter structures. Give me history over so called development!
My house is the same era but much smaller. I love this house! Great video. I will subscribe to your channel. Thank you for this video of this amazing house!
Hi Kimberly from upstate NY. I love this house! What a shame if it is torn down. I looks if maybe it was intended for more than 1 family to live in. Such beautiful woodwork. Love the video!🧡🏘🏚🏰
Everything about that house is nothing but breathtaking ❤. The location, structure, staircase I could go on and on. And what information do have about why it’s just sitting there?
Great video and love, love, love that house. Someone put a lot of money into adding on to it. It is beautiful. I do wish someone could save it from demolition.
Very cool Dave very cool. This place is so big. They should have turned it into a hotel. Certainly is big enough for a hotel or an air bnb. It’s just an awesome house. The basement was creepy. I wonder why the power is still on and who is paying the bill. Great vid Dave. Thanks for taking us along with you on this exploration. Stay safe and well. P.S. The beard looks good on you.👍🆒😮
How do you find all these places! Its so interesting. It is sad that all that beauty and some are full of beautiful furnishings, why do people leave these things that they surely have inherited or and if they have no use for it, sell it to someone who could use and enjoy it...There are so many. Thank you , I enjoy seeing the beauty and craftsmenship of others. Its an awesome show
