Picture this: Your autumn break has begun, and you've been granted some precious free time to spend with your friends! But between your best friend's birthday and your sister's recital, things have been taking up far more time than you were anticipating.
This is Sunny's current situation. How will these events unfold, and how will they shape his future? As the days pass, you'll get to find out how things will end with a climactic conclusion.

A: This is a mod. You need a copy of OMORI on steam. Simply install oneloader and put this mod into the mod folder. Do not unzip the mod.

It's do sad if you think about it that sunny had the option to stop but couldn't because he was stressed out

Great mod, although they made mari a tad bit more aggressive throughout the whole mod
Agreed, its somewhat messy. It's like shes aggresive, but then in the fight, shes saying "Sunny, I love you, please stop." Very odd.
@abi manning it's more like when she got upset at basil for taking a picture if her and the "you can't take pictures of people without their consent" line was dumb, considering basil is all about taking pictures of people living their lives. Not expecting a picture
while i agree that the dialogue shouldve been toned down (even something like giving her an upset expression and her saying "Sunny! What the hell!? That violin was expensive!" with a passive aggressive tone wouldve been good enough.) Im pretty sure that anyone would be pissed off if their brother threw their violin down the stairs. besides, Brothers having serious discussions while feeling this angry isnt that weird.
The reason Mari isn't shown as aggressive because she was shown in the dream world, sunny probably thinks of her as innocent and that she can do no wrong, but that is very unrealistic. Usually when people die especially people close to you, you don't usually remember the times they were rude. So she was probably a very kind sister but also still a human being, and a human being has a breaking point, She was probably nice but could possibly be mean at times aswell.
@@vSickx yeah that line was very unnecesary and takes the tension out of the moment
1. The “fight” was not an actual fight, Sunny reflexively shoved Mari shortly after she stepped into the way
2. Mari degraded Sunny over the course of the practice due to her perfectionist nature, contributing to Sunny’s rage. She didnt just snap the moment Sunny walked out
3. Sunny carried Mari up the stairs, and into her bed. Basil found him crying for an unknown amount of time
4. It’s implied that Sunny had a White Space before the accident or shortly after he carried Mari to her bed.
All is according to the unused text descriptions of the Truth Album that can be found on the Wiki.
The mods did an excellent job, these were just some inconsistencies that I found, but overall its amazing
I like how the music for the fight is just a distorted version of the title theme/the piano in the duet. Shows how angry sunny was while smashing the violin.
I also like how they added a sped up version of the white space theme
its deeper, but with inperfect note smashes relating to how mari is a perfectionist
I love how Omori is the same age as Sunny when Mari died, if you go through trauma, it can stunt you’re mental age, and Omori seems to signify Sunny’s subconscious mind, he’s also lacked any exposure to the outside world, so it makes sense that Omori looks the way he does.

Honestly Mari being a bipolar mood wouldn't surprise me... she is presented as perfect in sunny's world (probably a reflection of her being a agressive perfectionist, while representing the better part of her sunny wanted to remember)
I don't like how everyone just assumes the worst of Mari just because she had one moment of severe weakness, to the point where people think she straight up has a disorder
@@DeltaBlazin I never said she HAS to be disabled or anything like that. I just want to say that Mari being flawless kind person is just sunny's overexagarated image of her. I never want to assume the worst of people, but we know very little of Mari's home life with Sunny and her accidentally lashing out at sunny for minor things could've been a repeating pattern of behaviour that she tried to hide from the rest. (The main point of this rant was supposed to be: You don't like how everyone tries to see her as overly flawed and I dislike when people see her as flawless sorry)
@@mrmechpunch4653 This wasn't really directed at you, it's just..I don't think she's flawless, far from it, but like, she isn't a bad person, I think she is a good person, and a good sister, who just had a very bad moment. That just happens sometimes, yet people think it's more realistic if she only ACTS like a good person on the outside but secretly has a dark side like some generic anime villain. It gets really tiring.

@@DeltaBlazin imagine you have an older sister which you love, then she dies. would you make her a demon in your dreams? we dont really know what caused mari to fight with sunny. maybe they got too mad at eachother. its kinda common to fight with siblings
i wish they made an option to not make her die,and the ending was soo hard that it would explain why nobody got it.
not enough people are talking about the music here. its absolutely fitting and makes it all a lot more unnerving.

I feel like the bright background doesnt fit well with what is happening, it should be a tad bit darker
That’s probably intentional. Sunny imagines it as dark because it was horribly traumatizing for him but in reality the world wasn’t affected by what happened and just kept on going the way it was. That seems impossible to him, so he sees this dark and twisted version of it, but this mod is supposed to be reality so everything is normal even though tragedy is playing out in front of you.
@@Autistic_Menace00 ok but it doesnt fit to have the incident be all bright and happy, usually in media, when something really serious happens, the screen darkens too, you shouldnt see the uwu happy background as sunny is crying near mari's corpse. Besides, we're playing as sunny, shouldnt we be able to visually see whats going on from sunnys pov? After all, in the og omori, weird shit happens in the real world when sunny is hallucinating or freaking out, like in basil's fight when sunny is stressed out. Why not have that? Realistically the room would look all cheery and shit but it sucks the seriousness of the situation if you priotize realism over connecting with what the protagonist feels.

Not sure if this was intentional but I like how during the battle with Mari, the battle theme is final duet, but violin only. Probably because that's all he could think about. Pressure, aching fingers, stairs, and MARI.
Honestly, it would be better if Sunny and Basil putted Mari in bed because they thought that people would just think that she died sleeping.
Look, that pictures that reveal the true about what happend in that day, isn’t pictures, but memories of Basil, so he saw Sunny pushing Mari down stairs.
My headcanon is that Sunny thought of calling an ambulance but Basil was afraid of Sunny get arrested
you know it would be VERY sus if Mari died in dream having all these wounds and lookin' kinda beated up from falling and also bleeding and yeah you can argue the same with fake suecide but i guess she could self-harm herself before hanging

No offense, but this fight looks very forced.
In other words, Sunny having to push several times while Mari apologizes doesn't seem realistic to me, not to mention that Mari's design as a boss fight seems contradictory to me.
If I had done it, I would have put other options in the "push", such as arguing, insulting, and swearing (What do you when you argue with someone), until finally "push" appeared, because in my opinion it was only one push, not several.
Yeah I believe "Push" should've been put last as a the only option available, would have made more sense

Mari looks like she just woke up in the morning she just found out sunny drank all the orange juice.
The fight honestly makes me extremely stressed out. It also gives the mood of “she’s my big sister, she’s supposed to care for me not hurt me! Why are we doing this!” Because in the fight Mari is pulling at and hurting Sunny which really feels like a punch in the gut
Not to offend the person who worked on this mod….but this wasn’t really a good depiction of the fight.
Mari begging Sunny to stop seemed very odd, and it kinda villainies Sunny for continuing to attack her, also Mari continues to attack even after she tells Sunny to stop.
I love the music + background change but other than that this fight seems very forced.

The music gives me chills and goosebumps every time- Considering the "everything is going to be ok" heart rate, and Mari apologizing, I would think that this isn't it happening at that moment, but rather a memory of it.

Honestly? Now that I see it, I think it's a very bad idea to make the moment Sunny pushed Mari down the stairs into an rpg battle. It's not like the Basil fight, where it was an actual battle, no, there was some pushing and shoving, yeah, but it then soon ended with Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs, also a few other complaints.
Mari goes "Sunny, I love you, please stop." towards the end, yet she KEEPS fighting!?
Second, the energy bar goes "everything is going to be okay" which doesn't fit this scenario at all, because this is what starts the problem.
Thirdly, these two were just pushing each other, and OMORI is pretty realistic about attacks, what with Sunny attacking Aubrey with a knife immediately making her bleed, so pushing wouldn't be enough to actually hurt Sunny that much.
Honestly, I think this should have been an animated scene, instead of a rpg battle.
I also don't like how unnatural Mari's anger seems, like the moment Sunny leaves she just loses it? It feels very fanfic like imo.
I just don't agree about one thing, the "everything is going to be okay" don't need to be particularly about the truth, I mean we can think that Sunny just want this fight to be stopped. Also it being a fight is pretty cool, I mean the theme slap and well even if the attacks aren't realistic it's very pleasant to watch and the way it was done too

Good point, but I think a big part of it might be how difficult it would be to do a whole animation and make it look like the actual game mostly by yourself which is probably why they went the rpg route, or that thought just hadn't come to mind when they were making it. But I do agree an animation would fit better if that were an option

Я думаю в этом може всё не так корректно, во первых выражения лица Мари, их референсами были эмоции Мари из хедспейса, а это не является верным. Также одежда Мари, это должно быть белое платье, это ясно видно. Ещё положение Мари после того, как она упала с лестницы, когда в скрытых файлах игры мы находим Мари лежащей поперёк лестницы, а в игре она была ногами на последней ступеньке. Но я не уверенна в последнем.

There is one illogical point in this mod:
In the game, it is said that all of Sunny's fictional worlds appeared after he went into white space and got bored there, and in this mod it is the other way around
Is there a alternate ending, where you purposefully lose the fight?
There is actually dialogue, Mari yells for you to wake up so it's kinda like Omari.

I think Sunny was just mad and tried to push once but his anger was acted upon 10000 tenfold when that push was aimed at the stairs because Sunny wasn't necessarily thinking about where he is pushing towards

Sigh... I'm not sure how to feel about everyone's criticisms for the mod... :( I don't know about it being like the best thing ever, but I'm not sure if there's much that's super out of character for Mari, it seemed normal enough to me, I think. :?
I mean, a lot of what happened in the real world surrounding the incident was something heavily implied but never shown, but we know that Mari might sadly not be as perfect as we thought of her and it's kind of imagine that, but... yeah. :? Not to mention everyone else in the real world...
So how exactly did she really act sometimes in the real world? :? Sigh... idk. :( But I thought they kind of had it right. :? Sunny and Mari still seemed really close until Sunny got so stressed he broke the violin and she got pissed, but other than that really dramatic moment, she doesn't necessarily seem that much worse than that, I think... :? And if there were other moments where she got this pissed over something though... idk. :? She may have high standards for doing good herself and wanting to prove herself and not let people down or something and to look nice, being a perfectionist, but I don't think she's normally all that toxic about it or anything, her arguments weren't entirely wrong. :?
