for some reason when i did a second playthrough of this it was weird like the fight with the guards in headspace was differant and it said "sheild mole tried something very risky" and black scribbles with eyes on it popped up and the first few times i died but then it didnt work so i automatically won and also the spear moles attacks were differant

Also, despite how I don't like some things and details in Autumn Break, there's one thing they DEFINITELY did right. Many people who played this forgot about Kel's birthday because of focusing on the accident, just like everyone did
I’m a bit more judgey when it comes to mods as I find it hard for them to share the same degree of quality as the original. This mod in particular was amazing with how it weaves headspace into the mix. Though I can’t help but feel the end sequence felt too abrupt and we definitely expected Sunny to make mistakes but they weren’t able to show that (i blame lack of resources but editing sound files could work too for simulating that). Why not show Mari’s frustration build up at Sunny’s incompetence? It would make the outburst more meaningful. Thematically speaking I felt it could’ve been more climactic. After all, this is what sets the stage for base game. Why not capture the atmosphere by making the background grey when she falls? It was done before in a headspace sequence, but I’d like to see that moment where Sunny begins to dissociate. I do feel adding the fears was a bit cheesy, but they did provide to the atmosphere and kept you on edge; something (no pun intended) I enjoyed. Overall fun mod I felt very emotional throughout. I really liked the rendition of the duet they used for the final fight.
I wonder what happens if you find a way to LOSE to the final fight.. would the game just crash, not knowing what it would do? Would you get a happier ending, or a worse one?

This part at 1:02:32 makes no sense either because this is the part where Something would’ve been created. “Something behind you” implies they’ve already seen it and manifested it in their minds, which either A. Would’ve happened WAY too fast considering they literally just hung her not even ten seconds ago, or B. Wouldn’t be possible because Something wouldn’t even have been manifested yet. They would’ve been SECONDS away from it.
The manifestations for something are separate. Likely at different times throughout the sequence. Basil’s version of something (aka Basil’s something in the base game) is formed when he sees Mari on the ground. This is also why it manifests as dark webs surrounding a mouth. The webs reminiscent of Mari’s hair splattered on the ground Sunny’s something hadn’t manifested until he looked back just like in the mod. This is why his something manifests as the hair with eye. Basil and Sunny do NOT share the same something as it isn’t a single entity. It is unique to both of their perspectives Perhaps Basil may have planted the idea of something when he mentioned it, which is why they share the perception.

I like the background effects, so I’ll give it that. Mari’s dialogue at the end makes no sense, because A. She’s the one still attacking you and B. Only one of your attacks ever do any major damage (that being Push)
Actually, let me rephrase that: Your attacks do NOTHING against her! So if your attacks don’t deal any damage, why is *she* the one telling you to stop?! It’s like the game’s trying to guilt trip you! The sprite for Mari looks off, but I can’t put my finger on it. The strongest part would definitely have to be just how innocent everything felt, especially Mari saying things like “Big sister will always be here”. That was heartbreaking.
TLDR: The Mari fight is the weakest part of the mod because the sprite looks off, her dialogue makes ZERO sense (she’s begging YOU to stop when her attacks deal more than yours (which deal nothing)), the attacks are too vague, and the game guilt trips you. The stronger parts are the calmer sections where Mari acts like she’s not gonna be killed in only a few days.
The atmosphere also doesnt fit with the scene, mari is dead and yet everything is still bright, a better way to do this fight wouldve been to hear rain and a thunderstorm while theyre arguing, causing the lights to go out. make it so that everything's dark and gritty, the battle should start with sunny and mari discussing (fight isnt available yet, only skill available in there is talk, sunny and mari slowly go through the 3 angry stage emotions, until sunny reaches a special 4th angry stage, then the battle starts, as the battle progresses, sunny gets more and more stressed out leading to a mix of stressed out and (4th anger stage), in which sunny pushes her automatically, and when that happens make the screen black, put a yelling sound effect, then loud noises of her falling down the stairs and a loud breaking sound when she reaches the bottom of the stairs (she landed on top of the violin), in the overworld make the screen all shaky and foggy as sunny walks slowly downstairs, with sunny breaking down and crying.
I interpret it as this: Sunny's blanked out what she's even saying at this point... And right before he shoves her, he tries to go back to being rational at any cost, even pretending she's telling him to stop... But by the time he comes back to reason... The deed has been done. The way the pictures were shown in the original game... they really should have used a Night-time Sunny's House... But they didn't. Ah well.
