Have you Tried waveform view? It is much more convenient to use instead of the Histogramm since you get also Information where your Image is over or underexposed. It helps a lot to proper expose faces what is the most important. I could only recommend that you give it a try. Lumix is also the only Brand that has this Feature and it is awesome!
Why do you use 5.7k 24p record mode + VFR instead of switching to for example 4k 60p for slow motion? AFAIK VFR is lower quality than "native" 60p mode. Am I right?
I have a problem with my GH6 with audio, in that it records 4 tracks. I use the 3.5mm jack and record stereo however the GH6 produces two more tracks which are empty. Don’t suppose you have any idea to remove the two empty tracks? My Ninja V does the same thing. Bit frustrating but not the end of the world.
Thanks man! So on the Gh5 I love the drag to focus on the monitor. I just drag the box and let go and it will focus on the subject. I can’t figure out how to set it on the Gh6. Do you know how?
Great stuff Ryan. Im just playibg wth setting up gh6 myself....wondering about shooting either 'natural' wth DR Boost on ISO 800 or.....natural wth no boost ISO 100 etc. Any thoughts? :)
Hello Rayan, I live on a French island in the west of South Africa, in the south of Madagascar. For a few years I made shitty videos😂 and today I have a gh6 but I'm a little bit lost. Thank you for this tutorial. I started in the wedding video it works a lot but I don't miss anything because I want to make sick movies, thank you for your advice, even if I don't understand anything about English baye baye
So I purchased two batteries, then I purchased a 20€ dummy Batterie and a smallrig NFP Batterie Plate and 2 very big NFP Batteries. You can shoot hours and hours with this Setup. I made a video about it. It is also cheaper then 15 batteries o. O
Thanks for the good advice. Many had complained about a red cast in the skin tones of the GH5 in Cine-like D mode. Now it's more green. Something in the middle would be best. I like to use NATURAL for nature shots, while I tend to use Cine-Like D2 for indoor artificial light. I don't do anything with Cine-like D video. What I really miss is the ability to focus on the screen with a tap, like on the GH5. The GH6 requires an additional tap on the AF box or pressing the AF-On button. That's one handle too many in my opinion. Here I hope for a firmware update.

love the colors you get out of your LUMIX cameras

Have you experienced the light streaking issue? I just experienced it yesterday while exposing for a window
In stead of decreasing sharpness digitally for the Natural color profile, have you tried using a pro mist filter for that effect?

Is the auto focus really bad ? Or with manual it’s good for music videos ?
Hey Ryan what are your recommended settings for green screen work on the GH6? Will be doing slow motion as well
I watched your settings video on the Panasonic GH6. Why do you choose histogram over wave form metering?
What is the best lens if budget is no issue if you want one lens for events?
For me the best all around ER is the Panasonic 12-35mm 2.8...Overall seems to work for most everything.

why would you film everything in 50p? How smooth is editing with the 5,7K files? my macbook pro seems to have issues playing them smoothly. thank you!
Hi Ryan. I just got the GH6. For some reason, I can't get the ISO lower than 800. How can I get it lower? Thanks in advance!
Just turn off the dynamic range boost
Do you like the GH6 so far?
Great video, do you shoot with variable fps on? It seems to disable audio recording, is this something you ran into?
Hi Ryan, do you have issue with NO sound when shooting in VFR or certain video codecs? Thanks
Yep! Thats why I just turn VFR off whenever I want to shoot audio 8:25
Cheers!
@@ryanjharris guilty of posting before finishing the video! Thanks mate

This is all fine and dandy and thank you but, release more music! 😂
