It's so easy to fake profiles. I became a 35 year old man from Alberta Canada, and uploaded any photo of a Welsh child killer, all on Fakebook. I did this so I could send photos of him marrying a little boy, to everyone who knew my housemate paedophile, including his children. It worked and it proved Zuckerberg was a liar when he stated all his profiles are authentic.

My husband died 4 & a years ago. I was surprised that men, a lot were Army, or some type of service.
I left my profile as married, pictures show that I'm elderly & they start telling me how beautiful I am, (I know I'm not) what a beautiful smile I have..ect..
They tell me to send them friend request.
      ( i don't)
Couple just flat out ask if I can still send them Google play cards or phone cards. (I CERTAINLY do not)
At first I was upset & wondered how they can get on my Facebook page without my permission or sent request..but now I know they can manage that, I've been told/ explained to me but now I don't remember..( remember I'm old..lol.)
I do have money in a savings account from selling my home when my husband died, & as I say often, nobody is going to get any of that money except myself, my 2 sons & 3 granddaughters. My sister (she 75 yrs old but don't act or look it ) & I like to shop sometimes once a week & eat lunch & just have fun acting like we have good sense.

I admire her for speaking out to help others. I would be too embarrassed to tell people. Also, people are very critical. A woman I worked for was scammed, but not to this degree! I was afraid she might do something to herself because people were not empathetic.
She was divorced and so lonely. A perfect victim. She also said she felt like a teenager again. Who wouldn’t want to feel that way and I’m married!

She said he had no siblings and his parents had passed so he was alone, she was all he had.

Thanks for this show. Hopefully this will help others. My mom was being catfished. She met a guy online that said he was from Texas, but was working overseas. They were talking for hours. Luckily my mom kept me in the loop, and when he asked for money I said hell no. She didn’t give him any money and he quit talking to her. My husband works for a grocery store and they have Western Union and he said lots of elderly women come in and want to send money overseas. They will refuse to send the money if the women sending it doesn’t know the person and have not met the person. The women get so mad when they refuse to send the money, but the grocery stores are trying to prevent the money being sent. Great show. ☀️

Yes, I used to work in customer service and I processed Western Union transactions. As my position required online training for Western Union transactions, I learned that as well, to prevent theft and money laundering. This one particular woman started coming in to send $200 to Nigeria, about twice a month, so I asked her what the purpose of the transaction was and she said: I can do what I want with my money and asked to speak to my manager who allowed it. So, moral of the story, you can’t help someone who doesn’t want help.

  • @mariancounsellor

The woman in the first story needs psychological help. She’s got journals of conversations but has never insisted on meeting him in 2 years? She’s saying she’s a smart woman but actions speak louder than words. I think she’s lying about him saying he wanted to keep things going. If she was my mother, I’d be advocating for her not to go out by herself or use the Internet without supervision. The second woman doesn’t have time to FaceTime but has time to send nice photos and videos?

That whole confession thing is part of the scam. I’ve seen it multiple times. It just makes it easier for the scammer by not having to keep up the ruse. He didn’t have feelings for her. You’d be surprised how many women fall for this as well and keep sending money as the scammer claims they’re living in poverty in Nigeria. Meanwhile they drive luxury cars & live in extravagant homes.

He said the hotel he's in is going to throw him out if he doesn't come up with $42.00. I figure, if he's going to need more than $42 to stay there until the snow storm subsides so this must be food money he's trying to get. Then unless he's in an old run down Motel, WHAT HOTEL CHARGES A RATE OF $42/ Night??? Then my final thought was, okaaay, when is he going to fix his mouth to ask ME for the money cuz I already know the answer will be a solid, bold-faced 'NO'.
