Hello everyone, and a warm welcome to our channel. Regret, a profound emotion, has likely touched each one of us at some point in our journey through life. It is a feeling of deep disappointment or sorrow that emerges from the realization that our past actions, or inaction, have led to an outcome that is less than desirable. This powerful emotion can leave an indelible mark on our psyche, affecting our mental health and overall well-being. The focus of this article is to delve into an intriguing question - do narcissists genuinely feel regret when they lose someone? To unravel this, it's critical to first comprehend the essence of regret and evaluate if it's truly possible to overcome this emotion.
Regret predominantly stems from feelings of guilt or remorse, which are the offshoots of our belief that we could have responded differently in the past. It's akin to looking at the past through the rearview mirror of our lives, believing that we had the power to change the course of events. This emotion can manifest itself in two distinct ways - for some, regret serves as a powerful catalyst, prompting them to change their behavior and make different decisions in the future. However, for others, it becomes a constant source of ruminating thoughts and self-doubt, casting a shadow over their present and future.
The capacity to overcome regret is often dictated by an individual's level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. It requires introspection, understanding of one's emotions, and the ability to manage them effectively. Essentially, it's about learning from our past mistakes and using those lessons to inform our future actions.
Now, let's turn our attention to narcissists and the question of whether they genuinely regret losing someone. This question is intricate and complex, much like the narcissists themselves. Narcissists can be metaphorically described as parasites, latching onto the lives of those around them to extract the energy and resources they require for their survival. They are adept at masking their true predatory nature, creating an illusion of omnipotence. They project an image of being invincible, which is starkly at odds with their reality.

Narcs don’t feel anything like we do. My ex gave herself away in the way she thinks. We had a new expensive microwave combination oven and burnt bread in it as it seemed to over heat. I said we should take it back as it was expensive and the company might be able to fix it. She said we should throw it in the trash and just buy a new one. It was revealing to her mindset as nothing matters to her and everything can easily be replaced.
