No they're definitely extra I worked there for 2 years. We fill up a cup for the base and we have a metal container with lines in it for the extra fries. Small fries get like a half a cup extra, medium a full cup, and a large between 1 and 3 extra cups depending on how generous we feel. @@danferrusquia2819

After a couple weeks the hand cut fries naturally decayed as organic matter is supposed to whereas the McDonald’s fries stayed exactly the same. I work at Five Guys. The real thing that sets us apart from the “competition” isn’t only that we cut the potatoes every day or you can always swing by for some peanuts even if you don’t order! It is the fact that we don’t have freezers!! FIve Guy’s quality of beef is something a McDonald’s will never see, plus we don’t charge you for extra pickles 😉. Oh and our ice cream machine will be working when you get here.

Five guys’ fries are the only fries I can count on being fresh. Not only do they label what potatoes they use(they pick a different potato world wide everyday) but they are all really good.
The fries are also cut fresh from potato’s every morning. The potatoes are rinsed, de-starched and then washed. They are then cooked in the kitchen twice, to get the perfect fry! Coming from someone who used to work there, everything is as fresh as it can be at Five Guys!

Bro I work on grills at 5 guys and the patties are all balled, pressed and weighed by the prep team in the morning, then cooked a specific way on the grills, well done and juicy. Fresh, top quality mince. 10x better burgers than any other ‘fast food’ restaurant.
That’s why you have to go with a friend or multiple people when you go to five guys. The fries are enough to feed four people if they’re already having a burger.
Five guys is probably the only place where I pick the smallest options because of this fact. (And cause they can be pretty pricey) Their “little” burgers are about the size of any normal burger out there and you can load it up with as many toppings as you want.

Ex 5guys employee here! If you have a good team the fries are to die for but you gotta eat them asap. This was like 6yrs ago but when I worked there we had a specific technique that we use fry the fries and we had to log it, we did this multiple times a day. If you REALLY had to work at a fast food restaurant, 5guys is the place to work at, they feed you(on long shifts), split tips and are pretty dang clean.

I always say that Five Guys is a better deal than you would initially think. The condiments aren’t wilted or soggy and there’s more of them. Their milkshake is customizable at a flat price, you get more fries than most fast food places, and unlimited free peanuts.
As a former 5 Guys employee I’ll say that it took me leaving the job to realize why the food was so highly priced. Everything we made in that store had 0 preservatives. Fries were fresh by order. The burger meat never stayed in the fridge for more than 2 days & was prepared daily (any left over patties couldn’t be used the next day). Only thing that wasn’t coming from the franchise’s farm was the Hebrew national hot dogs. Since those days I’ve gone to different fast food restaurants and the things that happen in those kitchens turnt me off completely to where I had to leave that industry.

Five guys’ fries are the only fries I can count on being fresh. Not only do they label what potatoes they use(they pick a different potato world wide everyday) but they are all really good.
The fries are also cut fresh from potato’s every morning. The potatoes are rinsed, de-starched and then washed. They are then cooked in the kitchen twice, to get the perfect fry! Coming from someone who used to work there, everything is as fresh as it can be at Five Guys!

Bro I work on grills at 5 guys and the patties are all balled, pressed and weighed by the prep team in the morning, then cooked a specific way on the grills, well done and juicy. Fresh, top quality mince. 10x better burgers than any other ‘fast food’ restaurant.

If you have a good team the fries are to die for but you gotta eat them asap. This was like 6yrs ago but when I worked there we had a specific technique that we use fry the fries and we had to log it, we did this multiple times a day.
If you REALLY had to work at a fast food restaurant, 5guys is the place to work at, they feed you(on long shifts), split tips and are pretty dang clean.
Also a former five guys employee, and yeah, frys everyday for free made the shifts more bearable

I always say that Five Guys is a better deal than you would initially think. The condiments aren’t wilted or soggy and there’s more of them. Their milkshake is customizable at a flat price, you get more fries than most fast food places, and unlimited free peanuts.
The price to get through the door is high, but the ceiling is incredibly low for the amount of high quality food you can get there

As a former 5 Guys employee I’ll say that it took me leaving the job to realize why the food was so highly priced. Everything we made in that store had 0 preservatives. Fries were fresh by order. The burger meat never stayed in the fridge for more than 2 days & was prepared daily (any left over patties couldn’t be used the next day). Only thing that wasn’t coming from the franchise’s farm was the Hebrew national hot dogs. Since those days I’ve gone to different fast food restaurants and the things that happen in those kitchens turnt me off completely to where I had to leave that industry.
