Ahhhhh Chris! You brightened my Sunday morning with this feet of ingenuity. You are so much fun to watch and you make my imagination go wild. Thumbs up!!
Chris you are a true hot rodder at heart, I've seen engines swaps from different manufactures for years. It's what you like or have available then make it work!!! You are talented and skilled creator!!!
Same here, Brandon! Started off road only, but the tarmac gets more and more attractive, plus it's nice to change the surface on which you run at times. Can never have too many RC's!
We are the ones to bring this one to the market, Markus! Still have a few things to finalize, but there will be news about this range of products in the weeks to come.
Bedankt! :)
Walter, glad to see you again! Of course I don't mind sharing that kind of info. This model, with the Zenoah 23cc engine and the clear body, as an RTR (no electronics, no radio) costs 935 euros. The other one I have, the4WD RTR, so with 2.4 GhZ radio system, decent, metal geared servos from HiTec, 26cc engine and a clear shell (Audi A4 or BMW M3 like in my videos) costs 1160 euro. That may seem like a lot more, but it is great value for money considering you get decent parts in there. Take care!
Dankjewel, Tim. Er zit aardig wat in de pen voor dit jaar, niet alleen qua kappen voor diverse modellen, maar ook qua upgrade onderdelen voor verschillende platformen, zowel on- als offroad.
Hi Thomas, if you can't find anything that suits, a good idea is to have a look in the car sections of toy stores. Quite often you find close to scale models that can be ripped apart and robbed of the parts you want to hook up to your RC. ;)
Hello Danny, watch both videos and you will find out that the Dodge engine wasn't in stock when I decided to try this out. Logos will be grinded off though!
You could use a dremel on low rpm's, but sandpaper is always good to have. Remember, sometimes it's better to be patient and get the right tools than to rush ahead and make mistakes!
Hi Steve, the FG link should indeed help you to get all you need to build one of your own. If you have any questions just shoot them an email, perhaps they can direct you to a shop or distributor closer to you. Have fun building and thank you for the feedback!
Watch the whole video as all those things are being discussed. The Mopar block was out of stock, and I wanted to go ahead and try this anyway. The logos are going to be shaved off and this ride will scream Mopar when done! ;)
Great question! I didn't buy a real one because they cost around $ 7000,- and the one I mounted right now cost me $ 35,-. That leaves me with $ 6965,- that I can use to complete the project. In the end, the whole car with electronics will only set me back around $ 1600,- total including the car. If you deduct the car, it leaves you with around $ 6500,- to spare, which I think I will use to take a well deserved holiday. ;)
Hey Steffen, on the FG homepage is a list of distributors, on which Denmark is also listed. I know there is a huge FG online community in Denmark with a good forum, where you can also have a look to see if there might be a used model for sale. Because those forums are such tight groups, the chance of finding a good quality car for a reasonable price is high. I hope this helps, and that you'll be burning some rubber with newfound friends this summer! :)
I fully agree, David! I couldn't get my hands on a Mopar supercharged engine, and they will be rereleased in June, so I chose to just go for this one. I may change them out once they're back in stock though!
nice vid buddy, Luv the scale motor. lol your right, its sad the the ford was the only one you could get! looks freekn awsome. good job sofar! cant wait to see this beast in action
MAN I CAN NOT SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS RC CAR !!!!!!! Thanks for the info on how u made the 1/6 th scale motor mounting on the frame . Man I really like this build !! I have spinal stnoseses ' Hell I dont know how to spell it ' But building models & RC's is all I have left to keep me INSANE !! Later man
For sure man! I check out all your vids! I just don't always have the time to comment! I'm sure you know what I mean! ;) Hope you're well bro! I can't wait to see more of the Hemi Challenger from Hemistormrc! lol! (It just fits your name so well eh!) Cheers!
Have a look around on drifting forums, I know there's a lot of guys out there who manage to source engines that look scale, and they are all willing to share their info.
cool never thought of that the trouble is where i live there are not many stores that deal in rc anymore so am stuck and have to rely mostly on the internet
Cool vid and build. Only thing I saw was that the die cast motor is a Ford and the body is a Dodge. I don't mind at all, but some purists out there might want your head for that. Just saying. Keep up the outstanding work Hemi. :)
HemiStorm RC - Custom RC builds, painting videos and more Great Job. I did a few of theses on a Losi 1/10 and Rustler. They still rip with the Brushless motors but the engines look bad ass.
Hi My main problem with the 1970 Dodge Challenger body is it's 1/5 scale , and my FG on road car is 1/5 scale 4 wheel drive but it's the smaller wheel base and not the 535mm wheel base that the Challenger is . I thought about finding a nice bare section on the chassis and cutting it from side to side , and then adding the extra piece to make the wheel base 535mm . And of course reinforcing that section , but then being 4wd I was not sure about the parts that run from back to front wires and belt that make it a 4wd . What are your views. Regards Steven Lee ( Australia )
+LEESODANO Hi Steven, your best bet there is to actually get the main chassis from FG, a longer belt cover and the longer belt. I think it will save you a ton of work and a lot of headaches in the long run. I hope this helps!
loking great, I will be following this to the end cause it is so cool. I saw the FG link you left below, is that the only place you get your chassis n body parts for your builds? If you have any other shops you get your products please let me know the links for chassis kits and parts. Thank you sir, Steve
it would be bad ass if you could plumb the exhaust up to the engine and make new headers sticking out from under the body or straight up thru the hood...
I explained in the video this was a test and they wouldn't have the Hemi engine in for another three months. Since only the super charger and the blower would show eventually, and they're almost identical to the ones on the blown Hemi, I thought I'd give it a try. The very same die cast engine later ended up in my replica of the Hoonicorn, which you may find an interesting build.
Ik luister altijd goed naar technisch Engels in zulke filmpjes, om er wat van te leren. Maar ik vertrouw jou niet helemaal omdat je Nederlands bent haha. Top filmpjes voor de rest...
hello, I'm very interested to buy one of these cars I am from Colombia and I had to get a translator and you could say that would like to buy one of these if you write me and tell me the price

It will be special, a blend of two known paintjobs, paying a tribute to one of the most known dragracing families in history!
Thanks Shezza! It's all about raising the bar for myself with every build, so far, I think this one is my favorite!
Rims looking great...Nice job on mounting the motor.. Very helpful info for body cutting. cant wait to see this progress into paint.
Bedankt! :)
that thing is bad ass. i love it. im an off road rc truck guy but if i could get my hands on an on road rc like that, id never put it down
Super Muscle Car....Really nice engineering, Looking good and can't wait to see the finished project, keep up the excellent work.
I love it! Although a 5th scale car isn't in my budget right now, it is an inspiration to see the creativity in your projects.
Walter, glad to see you again! Of course I don't mind sharing that kind of info. This model, with the Zenoah 23cc engine and the clear body, as an RTR (no electronics, no radio) costs 935 euros. Thank you, Craig! Glad you stopped by today!
I need an extra long third arm to build my shed!! That project looks amazing cant wait to see more.
great to see a new build chris and what a wicked choice. your really setting the bar high for customising rcs!
Hey Scott! Great to hear from you, buddy. Can't wait either, real eager to get this thing finished!
Cool to see you back again!
Hi Thomas, if you can't find anything that suits, a good idea is to have a look in the car sections of toy stores. Quite often you find close to scale models that can be ripped apart and robbed of the parts you want to hook up to your RC. ;)
your attention to detail is awesome
This is indeed an awesome project. You are truly innovative. Can't wait to see it done and running.
Hello Danny, watch both videos and you will find out that the Dodge engine wasn't in stock when I decided to try this out. Logos will be grinded off though!
Your feedback always equally makes my day. Thank you for taking the time to submit a comment, and I'm happy to hear you like the progress!
It's all about sharing ideas, I like nothing more than others perhaps getting inspired by seeing me mess around with my rides!
Glad you like it!
You could use a dremel on low rpm's, but sandpaper is always good to have. Remember, sometimes it's better to be patient and get the right tools than to rush ahead and make mistakes!
I may do something with it in the future, for now I have a lot of stuff to still figure our with the servo setup, etc. Keep an eye out for updates!

Sick ride dude cant wait to see the paint job!!!!!
I added one real cool piece just last night and am uploading another video soon! It will be true American Muscle!
Watch the whole video as all those things are being discussed. The Mopar block was out of stock, and I wanted to go ahead and try this anyway. The logos are going to be shaved off and this ride will scream Mopar when done! ;)

Hello Morgan, I surely will, it needs to have that beefed up rear stance to complete the look. :)
It is coming along very nice!! cant wait to see the finished product.
High five, Jason! Have a great weekend!

Benny! You are right, without a doubt the rears need to be beefy, but I think I found a solution that you will like. ;)

Great idea and great looking project. But why a ford motor in a dodge?
Working on this for a tamiya ford f-350 high lift ant trying to make the Brit move with tekin power
My out forgot to say why u didn't put the front bumper on
Freaking awesome. If your selling it let me know
Hi am fro Oman from where I can get the Dodge 1970 body
Yahya Alsharji They are discontinued, so it will be very difficult to find one.
Set of BRP fat and skinny slicks would set this right off Hemi!
Hey question can u turn my stock Rc to a gas or no
Michael Wood That all depends on what car you have.
Just a suggestion you might want to change the name on the headers from ford because of the Challenger being a mopar performance group.
What is your intro song?
Who cares its a toy motor and it fits i think it looks awesome and dood your accent sounds just like Vandamm
JETSKI JUNKY If only I could do that awesome split on two truck mirrors, hahaha!
