POV Tutorial: R32 Golf Flapper Mod + The ULTIMATE Before vs After

- The Flapper Valve keeps the Mk4 R32 Golf's exhaust quiet below 3500 RPM so that you can putt around unnoticed in the city and keep your neighbours happy... but that's not what we want!
Today's video is about squeezing as much noise, grunt and gurgle as possible out of the stock exhaust and seeing if this $5, DIY, 10 minute mod is actually worth it...

Damn if I ever get a golf I'll be sure to carry some golf T's!
What else had been done to the exhaust? Burbles a lot more than stock lmao
The valve in the mk4 r32 is all the time closed when you driving under 65km/h. The RPM has no influence!
Greetings from switzerland!:)
duesiish yes the RPM has a lot to do with it. As the engines speeds increases it produced the needed vacuum to open the valve.
Poster you should have used a rubber plug to block/cover the hole on the valve.

Super 👍
There is absolutly no differences between before and after, you're valve was already stuck open, In the case of my R32 it was stuck in close position, we have to unlock it manually with a hamer, if you want I have videos of my car with flapper always close.
I’m sick of listening to mine after 10 years, Mine is stuck open & I wanna close it, but I can’t. Any tips?
Why wont this video play past 15seconds?
Or cut the pipe, fit an oversized ballbearing...pipe duck taped together...job done. Those before and after bits sounded the same :/
Is this harmful to the engine in any way?
Absolutely not- possibly sitting there revving it over and over is but not this Mod.
No difference.
