I have just ordered a custom fully loaded JCW Countryman All 4 from the factory and waiting for it to be made, so I am so happy to see you review the 2023 model prior to the 2024 debuting. I appreciate the honesty, and enthusiasm in your reviews as well. With everything you mentioned, it makes me glad I added the rear seat center arm rest and cup holders to my options list when ordering. I watch often so keep doing what you’re doing cause it’s appreciated!

I took delivery of my 2022 All4 JCW in REBEL GREEN this past February and couldn’t be happier. Fit, finish, and performance are incredible. I’ve also seen several people get 0-60 in 4.4-4.6. Seems a ton of thought into its design. A wolf in sheeps clothing.

I will own this car one-day. I'm sure there are better out there, but this one has always stuck with me once I started having kids as the "As soon as their out of car seats" dream car.

I have a 2022 countryman JCW and I love it. I didn’t want to buy it but my wife did, as soon as I drove it I loved it. Such a sleeper car!

You are absolutely correct Anthony. I really don't need to go 0-60 any quicker. To be honest I don't need to this fast. I would, just to do it. 300hp, way more than this average Joe would normally use. But again if I had it I would. Good thing my Honda only has a Buck eighty. Catch you on the next one.
This little, big Mini 😁 is so much fun Sam, it hugs the corners and performance quick on the straights, perfect blend 👍🏻.
I have a 21’ and absolutely love the performance of this car. It has plenty of storage to carry my drums to Gigs in style. My only criticism is it is not a twin powered turbo but a twin scroll turbo that takes the turbo lag to zilch. If you are thinking about a JCW or an S definitely go for the JCW. It will ruin you in a good way. Cheers! I almost forgot. Two things, first there is an option for a fold down dual drink holder and arm rest in the center seat in the rear and second the steering wheel does have adjustment for in and out as well as up and down so drivers of all sizes can find a comfortable driving position. Do I dare say an ultimate driving machine…
Why not it is BMW after all but I agree great vehicle that can fill that performance void in a everyday driving car 👍

I have a ‘17 F56 S with 320hp. Was wondering if this has the same engine as the GP3 and if it is the wet clutch DTC 8spd transmission? One thing I noticed was no JCW Recaro seating. Is that an available option? Also, is their a JCW Pro valved exhaust option available? And one last question. Are there any factory optioned carbon fiber bits available? Thanks!
For North America you can not option Recaro but the dealership probably could swap out seats, the JCW for the Countryman all4 does not get a DCT, it’s the same performance numbers but not the GP3 and carbon bits, another item you could buy but not offered.

Solid review! My question is I just traded in a 2019 and had a rear seat armrest, that feature just needed to be optioned in. Now I did stay in the family and traded up to a 2023 Clubman and the drive profile is very different than the Clubman, but they are two different class vehicles.

Love this car, how do think it will compare to the new Corolla GR? I own a 2017 mc Culbman All4 S.
The Mini has more power (hp & torque) but the numbers (0-60 1/4) are close. The GR Corolla will be fun but the Mini is smaller in length giving a go-car feel instead of a sedan 👍
I’m currently driving the manual f56 3 door cooper s. It is really really fun and nice looking. But practically always makes me headache in some circumstances. Plus driving a manual car around the London area, really painful 😂 Thinking about the JCW countryman, but as I know the all new 2024 model is on the way and will be released this Q4. Even bigger and stronger, JCW version will have 330hp and 48V system. Really looking forward !

Was the car in sport mode when you recorded the exhaust because it never popped at all didn't seem like the pro valved exhaust it had was open for louder sound?
I always show both sport and normal it could’ve been because of the cold start sometimes it happens to my vehicle 👍

Compared to 2021 330i what do you like? I have owned two Z4’s. I love that low to the ground feel. Would you say this is los like the Z4
I am a little disappointed with the 330i, the drive is fun but it needs more power. You still have the dynamic feel but a Stinger has more power 🤦♂️. The Z4 are awesome because of the size it has a more fun to drive, this Mini will set higher up but has a lot of power for the weight of the vehicle. You set on the front wheels so if feels very tight but the Z4 is lower and you feel more engaged.
@@HawkeyeRides I have had a lot BMW’s over the years. My favorite was my 2000 M5 and my 2009 3335i. I am a IT Tech so I know how to tweak the HP and torque on my 330i. So instead of 255HP it has 295HP and I added 26 colors to the ambient lighting vs the Six standard colors. I wanted a second car. In addition to my BMW. I am going to order a i4 M50 and keep my 330I. After test driving the mini cooper. Thanks for the reply.

how would this compare to the s version? would this be less comfortable for long drives?
The ride is more firm on the JCW but the performance will keep you more engaged where you will not mind the ride. For long drives it will be less comfortable on the JCW, both are low to the ground so exterior sound will come.

It's very easy to paint the roof antenna. First, mask it off properly and then spray on apply a layer of bonding primer, then gloss black high quality spray paint and then one layer of spray on gloss clear coat. I did this to the GPS antenna on my gloss black Chevy pickup truck. I did it three years ago and despite exposure to the elements--it still looks great!

Hehe - EVERY motor reviewer ALWAYS says Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - they can't help themselves - thank you for editing that out in this video! - I really wish Mini would fall in line and add Android Auto. While I'm partial to the Clubman - we've owned two Countryman now and they're very very good - just getting past the idea that they are not-so-mini Minis keeps these from being purchased in larger numbers (well that and the prices being what they are - but keep in mind that these are made by BMW and has a fair amount of luxury - there's value there I believe).
Value is correct with the performance in a smaller package 👍
Sadly most car reviewer don’t make their homework… and yes it’s priced as a base model bmw but is a full loaded mini which means you get more for less
I used to have a Mini 2012 cooper s all 4 countryman... it was a lemon .... that car for free was expensive as all Minis

Is there any chance in the future that the Countryman could be optioned in a convertible model? I’m 6’3 broad shoulders 250lbs. As much as I love the mini convertible, I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable driving it.

I noticed one of the exhaust pipes is just for looks. Why not use both?
It’s more of a style thing, it doesn’t need the extra air flow for the engine but would be nice to have that extra sound

I would love to buy one, however Consumer Reports gives it bad markings on being reliable, and I’m not rich
They are awesome vehicles, I alway say, as long as you maintenance the vehicle by the book you should never have a problem. What normally happens is the 3rd-4th owner starts having problems because of lack in maintenance. Nothing will be perfect but it is always good to check how much servicing is and if a problem happens, pricing, because this is something people do not look in to and then the vehicle is unaffordable 👍

It doesn’t throw you back hard but it has great performance, you will tell a different with the JCW and the suspension helps with the engagement 👍🏻

how is this vs a bmw m x2
Power is close to the same, inside the back loses head space, more clearance in the BMW and fun to drive you will find in both. 2022 doesn’t have a m35i and they are refreshing the x2 for 2024 model.

I Also bought 2023 mini cooper from dealership when my 2021 Nissan Rogue non turbo version sat in junk yard after total lost after I got rear ended 40 MPH sent my car into striking into large tree trunk my car had 16,900 mile at the time shortest lived car whole thing still functional for scrapping only choice not repairing it at all

@@HawkeyeRides front of car was not badly damaged and just back of car it might be repairable what insurance told checking the damage 8 month to get parts that car still running we got it back I had to change the title to rebuild they towed my car to junkyard or auto body shop to repair they managed my parents told them to sent to repair shop instead of junkyard
@@Steve-ew5sl I can see that for parts, I have to replace one sensor and they keep canceling the order because of delays. You might want to look for pre owned parts for some of it.
I went there Nissan collision center shop today take see 2021 Nissan rogue they fixed body and frame Now waiting for few other parts so yep it getting restored

Countryman looks more like a CUV than a SUV just how clearance is and style look. but it's a good car. personally if for SUV I will looking for something else.
