got the mod working ingame but certain aspects of the original game are missing? (like the cards bobbing up and showing their score when you play a hands and the money showing itself increasing) if thats easy to understand. Is there a way to turn them back on that you know of?
So I did as you mentioned 5 consecutive times deleting Balatro completely. 1. IF i do as you say lovely says this: Setting breakpad minidump AppID = ******* SteamInternal_SetMinidumpSteamID: Caching Steam ID: ***********************(used stars to hide ID) [API loaded no] and the game starts with no signs of modding 2. IF i put the Cryptid zip internals in the /mods folder not /mods/lovely it starts as a modded game but crashes as soon as the first animation turns on please help me out or give a course where to look up for salvation, ty!!!
The mod just constantly crashes, sometimes it lets me play a few hand then after it crashes the game can’t start without crashing. I’ve tried every fix I could find online and nothing works

@ikigailess kinda I used thunder store to mod the game then put the mods I wanted to use into the thunderstore mod folder but I started getting random crashes so I followed the mod tutorial in the cryptid discord and that's been working great
Thanks for this video. Had troubles figuring out how to install despite the extremely simple instructions. I think that mods are no longer working as of the recent update though. Can't seem to get them to work. I guess we need to wait for a lovely update?

@@kacperek1289 it’s just a notification we all get for downloading it. There’s no virus , but because it is a .dll file it gets flagged. I can assure you there’s no virus , however I understand why you want to take precautions
Does anybody know the mod that lets you skip the scoring phase of the game? I end up getting a good run going but the scoring takes forever even on 4x speed
Hm you can skip animations in settings, that’ll speed things up. Also nopeus made by Jen allows you to go higher than 4x, I believe you can go 999x but I may be wrong. Hope this helps
@AutoWatto Yes, but I think the problem is with the version.dll file Whenever I delete version.dll, I can enter the game. But when version.dll is in the game folder, I get that error.

If you did everything there’s a mod tab in game on the Main menu. You can tick them off on the checkboxes. This will just restart the game and you’ll be good
Lovely is a .dll file which will be flagged as malware. It’s perfectly normal and safe, if you have any concerns join the Cryptid discord. There’s over 10k people in there including myself who’ve safely downloaded cryptid

Give me an example. I have the three sites linked, which is all you need. I even tell you how to access your roaming folder, you access your steam directory for the lovely file. Which I admit is a part I messed up on my end which is why I changed the title of the video to (READ PINNED COMMENT) with the correct link below, so i'll give you that. But other than that, please tell me what i missed lmao
It’ll do that. You’d have to disable your antivirus. A lot of us have done it it’s safe, but I can’t blame anyone who doesn’t want to risk it either way

Very common issue : Don't put your Balatro mods in the Steam game install dir, but instead in the AppData folder.
where is the app data folder?

Read pinned comment. You can just go to the lovely releases on the GitHub page and download the zip. Has a .dll inside

and there is no file in the lovely download that is called version.dll
You need to go to releases and download the proper zip instead of the dev file (green code button drop-down )
