I've discovered this video late, obviously, and although I love hearing from Delia, I don't know if I can stay with it because of this clueless interviewer. And she writes an ADVICE column? Remind me never to take her advice. She's so busy showing off her knowledge of the guest's life. Delia is a pro, and she sets up a great line and this intrusive woman steps on Delia's intentions every time.
Agree with Juliana Rosa's comment - Delia is great - the interviewer interrupting her continuously is very annoying - she interrupts her flow and interferes with her punchlines.
When you interview someone with a famous relative stop and think, "Why am I interviewing this person?" To learn of their life experience, their own thoughts, feelings, hopes and dreams. When you focus on the famous relative, you make your interview subject invisible, you disappear her. I'm sure that wasn't the intention of the interview, yet it happens so often.
Thank you.

I can relate to everything Delia Ephron is talking about.
Just love it!
Delia is great. If only the interviewer would let her speak... so annoying...
Yes, all of the greatest interviewers are at their best when they are not noticed. The great Johnny Carson comes to mind as one of the best at this.

"Like living in a place where the street signs are missing." Welcome to Albania. Truly.
smart people. Smart writers.
It’s supposed to be about Delia not the interviewer. She spoils the interview. Destroys the flow
And it's supposed to be about Delia, not Nora. There's enough about Nora. Let Delia have her say in her own voice.
