She is the author of some of my favorite movies, and I love her for those and the joy and delight they bring, even after repeated viewing. However, I am late to reading her books. Having just finished "Heartburn," my appreciation and affection for her are reinforced. In 2017, I find that two of the "public" people I miss greatly are Christopher Hitchens and Nora Ephron. I'm so grateful to have had their writing and their views as part of my life. I hope she knew how much loved her screenplays were and are.
she was one of those people who made the world feel safer...love the first two stages of inherited wealth "greed and sloth"...'it's the end of the year and I'm going to cook' - her contentment is a tear jerker...
The book is delightful, If a bit sad at the end. Nora was very ill then, and probably knew she had limited time. She was dead two years later. She never told anyone of her illness, which was diagnosed in 2006. She thought if people knew she was ill, it would hurt her career. She died in June of 2012. She was delightful.
Great interview - So wonderfull listening to Norah's perspective on things she was an amazing person intellectual and so talented - wish she was still with us.I also think this interviewer is the tops - if I become famous I would definitely agree to aninterview heis so nice and respectful what a great guy X
Praising her book, "Crazy Salad," The Los Angeles Times said of Nora Ephron: "Stylish, opinionated, with a kind of take-no-prisoners fearlessness rooted in both the women's movement and the equally complex terrain of her own emotions." The New York Times Book Review said "Crazy Salad" is "As tart and refreshing as the first gin and tonic of summer." Last but not least the NY Times said: "A woman for all seasons, tender and tough in just the right proportions." I miss her. (Nora Ephron--1941-2012)
"I spent 4 months here (in Seattle), it was summertime, it was heaven." Shh, Nora, we want people to think there's a constant downpour and it's miserable year round.
Terrible interview! He's just having her repeat stories from her books; if you've read them, you've heard them. Ask her about stuff she HASN'T written about...
We need an army of people with THAT sense of humor. Rest in Power, N. Ephron!!

Don't diss her. I enjoyed seeing her movies, all classics in my book. RIP, Nora. You'll be missed.
Therese Callahan I haven’t read a diss . Yep no disses .
Nora Ephron's future included being a contestant on the June 26, 2012 episode of Celebrity Bucket Kickers.
UNIQUE
EPHRON RIP
Nora's wig: carefully fixed over her eyes, oh, Nora...!
Wait I'm terrible at noticing these things. When was she wearing them and not?
I didn't diss her Sweetie. Just saying she kicked the bucket today.
Unfortunately, not everything can be funny
