Snakes are cold-blooded reptiles and can handle heat, dogs can't because they're warm-blooded mammals. I'm sure they just placed it in there just before in huge night to prevent any animal cruelty... Hopefully haha
Snakes do alright with heat, but most of the ones I can remember don't do very well with anything above about 95, and even that's only for the hottest part of their enclosure. Green anacondas (my best guess for this snake, although surprising because they're typically aggressive) do best from about 72 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Cars in summer easily get to temps in the 100's. Very much exposure to that kind of heat results in neurological damage and eventually death.
Since the snake looks alright and is still curled up on the driver's side seat instead of trying to get out, I'd guess he only just got put in there. Also the handlers had to be nearby and wouldn't have let harm come to him. So uh... sorry for too much information and just know the snake was probably just fine haha.
