My Australian Shepherd is veryyyy clingy and usually doesn’t like other people but when he sees someone that matches his energy he will get attached to quick.

I got my basset when I was living at home saving for a house, and in the 3 months he really bonded with my parents. To the point where the only time he doesnt bark at the door is when they knock.

AxisDens But I think it was also because other than Ned, only Eugene tried to adapt with Bowie. Others were just trying to do what THEY wanted to with the dogs.
Eugene was like, ‘our common point is activity so we’re gonna be active’. Keith didn’t try to understand Emma’s issues until the end & Zach made zero connection & only treated Bean as an experiment to discipline which I felt really bad about.

I love that Zach acknowledged that Bean probably doesn't trust him because of issues Zach has had with him before. Like, I love that he saw that and was like, "ya know what? Time to fix it!" I absolutely love it
Same, a lot of comments are judging him, but I rather hope for him to learn than hating on him. He clearly stated he is a cat person, so at least we got progress and he acknowledged his mistakes.

I don’t know anything about dogs, but I think Emma really did feel comfortable with Keith, except when he repeatedly said her name, that’s when she got scared.
And put her in a bath of running water 😳 if i learned anything from my dog it's to always fill the bath tub first and then put the dog in. He also lifted her up and held her in the air above the water, which i think made her think she was going to drown her. Poor baby ❤

Now that older try guys videos got recommended, I'd like to think of this Ned as Ned from an alternate universe just to not taint how good these videos are..
Honestly! Like I completely don’t agree with the decisions Ned made but I don’t want it to sully all of their previous videos that are so calming and entertaining! I can only imagine what they are all going through now that they kind of have to re design their channel.

We have an Emma-type (same breed even, I think), and she does NOT like kids. They stress her too much. I think Emma would have been very scared of Wes because he's a flaily baby who wants to touch her. Pesto was the sweetest. I love that he's just like, "Yeah. Whatever. I'm fine."

Zach tried his best., bean not trusting him may stem from issues that they had in the past of bean and Bowie getting in a tussle and Zach trying to protect Bowie (cuz that’s his dog obvi) . Zach recognized that and he did his best to make bean feel comfortable and to entertain him

Putting a nervous hunting dog (she looks like a rat terrier) in a bag to actually walk around in is a recipe for disaster unless you have a kennel bag. They will stick their head out as far as they can and push quite hard against their neck and trachea.
On a similar note:
If you're with a dog you don't know super well and it's resisting something, stop. Unless they're resisting their medication they take daily or something while you dog sit, but still take it slow. Some dogs will hurt themselves while struggling and it's very easy to hurt a dog if they're struggling.
Keith handled the bath time with Emma quite well though. The best way to bathe a nervous dog is with them, and to make sure their head is up. Not too sure about the soap he used, but I'm sure she's fine.

Your dogs need to be able to be safe and have controlled energy but you also need to let just be dogs and have fun. It doesn’t always have to be so regimented. If your dog can sit, come when you call, stay so they don’t jump, and don’t bite then that’s honestly all you really need. Eugene gets it

Let’s be honest, Maggie and Zach are doing something right with Bowie. He’s very well-behaved. My dog couldn’t be trusted to go-off leash on a trail without running off until he was 6 or 7.
My dog is 4 and a golden retriever (so can be incredibly well trained) but he can only be off lead at the dog park, dog beach, or on a walk where there are no dogs/ he is too tired to care
My dogs will literally bite anyone they dont know.
mine has to be on a chain in the yard, which sounds terrible, but it’s because he can jump the fence and has run away- multiple times.
My dog is a 2 year old rottweiler and he can already go in the woods behind my house and in the front yard and on a walk in the neiborhood which is surprising cause my other dog is 5 and cant go in the front yard off leash
My dog thinks she’s a guard dog (she’s a Doxin) she is really just a cuddle buddy
