Tbh I was thinking about how a game would work with the protagonist as a Jedi Shadow or the beginning of one. Backstory is them training as a knight along with their brothers and sisters, patrolling systems and assigned sector to oversee with their team and as they become adepts, tragedy after tragedy awoke the apprentice to the blind apathetic judgement the jedi order called justice. Having had enough but dare not go against their friends, he/she left the order unbeknownst to them and disappeared to a far away system - never to use a lightsaber again but became a bounty hunter protecting the locals after a few years of hiding. This is when they started to learn other practical ways of not relying on the force. One such bounty led the protagonist to a sith artifact being transported by pirates to their treasure trove - crossing paths with old friends vying for the same thing... I have been thinking that its gotta have fast parkour like assassin's creed unity, with force abilities like dash and jump, wall run and wall jump and safety roll. But customization will be expansive from choosing armor pieces from shoulder to shoulder, to knees, boots, chest and garments and mask. The combat is customizable from choosing to use blaster rifles, pistols, or sniper rifles etc. items like grenades, grapple hooks, shield generators or gases.... there will be a main melee weapon where lightsaber is an option. Other types of swords will be added and staves, and daggers or hammers because each will have their use. You would think the lightsaber will be the best, unless there is something lorewise that is jamming your crystal or some way that temporarily disconnects you from using the force, making wielding lightsabers difficult or enemies being resistant to lightsabers like beskar armour or shield generators. Not only that, but the combat tree will be enormous as you get to choose what style of melee combat techniques and force abilities to employ (to prevent being overpowered, you can unlock skills, moves, techniques, abilities with points but have a max limit on how many you can assign into your slots and moveset. e.g. Makari for thrusting attacks and dueling, Ataru for acrobatic and fast attacks, Shien for heavy strikes etc. But ofc you cannot forget what No Man Sky did best, Spaceships traversal across a planet / system. Though with the amount of ideas I already have, it might be limited to just one system or planet with a speeder vehicle ...

The only type of Jedi that has never turned to the dark side - is often considered to be the Jedi Consular. These Jedi focus on diplomacy, healing, and knowledge rather than combat and power. Their commitment to peace and understanding makes them less susceptible to the temptations of the dark side, as they prioritize harmony and the well-being of others. However, it’s worth noting that in the vast Star Wars lore, any character can be tempted, but Jedi Consulars tend to embody a philosophy that keeps them grounded.

I remember Shadows from the SWtOR MMO. My first character was a Jedi Consular with advanced class as Shadow. Fun play through if you went anti-hero considering the Consular pretty do-gooder story (if I remember it correctly). One of many memorable quotes is when the JC/Shadow is on the prison planet Belsavis and replies when told that the prisoners are being slaughtered "I'm not sticking my neck out to save a few convicts". Good times.

Other side note, from the Han Solo trilogy when an imperial officer did a historic word/name search on Darth and Vader. After 2,000years controlling a good section of Hutt space, they all seem to vanish for a thousand years after the Sith .. Lords .. were defeated by the Jedi. The language of the Sith went through multiple language branching like Latin into Spanish, Mexican and other dialects. It is still part of everyday speech in Hutt space. Everyone sees her as weak, but I have a different feeling about her. Also explains why she was able to evade Vader like she did, she had a very specialized skill set that most Jedi didnt recognize. Its even possible that only Yoda and Mace knew about her, being the two highest ranking Jedi.
I would love a series called Shadows to explore what they were doing during the Clone Wars. Could get some interesting plotlines Palpatine could throw them off with finding out his true identity,
I always loved the idea behind the Jedi Shadows. Though Im sure at least a few fell to the dark side, we just never knew about it due to their missions and lives being classified. If one fell, Id wager it was kept secret to continue the mysticism of the Shadows being unbreakable servants of the light. If Belsavis Prison (or some variant) still exists leading up to the battle of Yavin, I can see there being at least a few Shadows locked up there simply because that was the only way to stop them.
@TheStupendousWave I LOVED and appreciated this Video! especially on how you very accurately detailed on who and what the Jedi Shadows where and did. And to answer you question (that you asked towards the end of your video) on our opinion if we would have been interested to see if there was a Show or movie about this sub-branch of the Sentinels (and of the Council of First Knowledge) I have to say I would definitely would have loved to have seen this especially as this show and/or movie could have not only shown a more unique view on the Jedi's other jobs than what we had gotten to see them from the 6 films (especially prequels) but also had fleshed out on what exactly the other Jedi Council's does, particularly especially the Council of first knowledge and we could have seen some new characters and also have had expanded upon some old familiar characters (like master yaddle, Master Even Piell, master Oppo Rancisis, ect.). anyways these are just my thoughts and once again I appreciate all that you do keep up the good work and may the force (either light or dark) be with you 😄👍🏻
The only jedi I see that could have been a shadow was Quinlan Vos master, Master Tholme was an expert in stealth as seen in the republic comics, he taught concealment techniques to quinlan. Stupendous Wave can you make a video about Master Tholme, that would be great 😉
More like a Grey knight who had been possessed and then banished the possessing demon within themselves. Yep these Grey knights are a thing and very very rare because they have to be strong enough spiritually and voluntarily let themselves become possessed.
Here from Theory, you cover topics that are pretty far out, this is like layer 5 iceberg lore and you've got pages and pages of this stuff. Only weak point I can really see are maybe the AI images, but overall, definitely gonna be a frequent visitor. Hope you keep growing
Luthen Rael could be a Jedi Shadow. I feel there is hints in the show Andor, that could make you think he was a Jedi as you watch him interact with Saw Gerrera's men in one of the episodes, a concealed lightsaber. Plus, he seems VERY competent, like the force itself is guiding him. I thought that when he was escaping the Imperials and their tractor beam. I dunno, thought I would bring it up. I know Shadows are supposed to be very skilled in mundane things, like everyday jobs and professions to help blend in with the general public while doing their duty to the Jedi Order. 1. He has a great deal of knowledge when it comes to art and artifacts. The man has done his research. A shadow would know about ancient artifacts. 2. He's so devoted to the cause, even willing to sacrifice himself and others to over throwing the Empire. I think he knows Palpatine is a Sith, even though it's not known to the general public. 3. He's pragmatic, calculating, and will do what it takes to see the fall of the Empire happens. I think he sees it as the Sith defeating the Jedi, and Shadows are the most intense, strong-willed of all Jedi. I can see him going to such great lengths to ignite the fires of Rebellion. The man has a serious chip on his shoulder.
The Jedi Shadow would make for a good series or trilogy movie arc if done right. Their image has so much Shinobi aka Ninja vibes, working mysteriously in the shadows, secretly as spies and gathers of information and relics of the Sith.
My Friend, based on what has been said about the character, my hope/hunch is that Jude Law's character in, Skeleton Crew, may be a Shadow Jedi Padawan, who got lost in the fray of TCW and Order 66. He'd have enough power and knowledge, around his early 20s, to be able to both hide in the shadows and in plain sight. That would certainly make Jod Na Nawood, "a new kind of Jedi". We'll see. I'm still wondering if We'll ever see a Jedi Shadow show up in The High Republic, considering how serious threats like The Nihil, The Nameless, The Drengir, and The Blight are during that time. Either way, I hope We get to see a canonical Jedi Shadow appear in The SWU. I'd love a story like this depicted in a story about The Hidden Path.
oh in reference to the grey knight guy post. The Grey Knight who carries that demon blade with him at all times had to go through that process to prove that he was a worthy Guardian of the blade and able to resist the corruption.
This would be perfect for a game. Maybe a cross off Kotors ability system with force unleashed gameplay plus stealth and manipulation tactics mixed in.
I had no idea such a sub-sect of the Jedi even existed. It's pretty interesting that despite dabbling in dark side abilities and dealing with matters of espionage, combat and dark side artifacts far more often than the regular jedi, none of them ever embraced the dark side (before Order 66). They must've been very rigorously trained and, well, brainwashed even more thoroughly than the other jedi.
Would Bode Akuna from Jedi: Survivor be considered a Shadow? He did say that the Council sent him undercover during the Clone Wars, and he was an effective spy for the Empire.
Curious about the phase walk ability... Was it this ability that Luke used during 'The Last Jedi' in the duel with Kylo Ren?.. I realize Luke was projecting himself but it was also like he was there but not there at the same time!.. I know that movie was mostly bad but it was at least one cool moment 😊
I do think that overall, it would have made more sense to have new characters that were Jedi, post-order-66, be all the remaining shadows, instead of a myriad of padawans and regular jedi that were somehow just missed. I love characters like Cal Kestis, etc., but a Shadow Arc sounds like a better ongoing story to me.
More closer to the truth than you realise BUD. They had to master both sides of the force and bring them into balance within themselves. So pretty much yeah.
I was never much of a fan of the Sentenals, they're more or less politicians. the Shadows however i'd love to know more, they'd make a great main character of a Star Wars game.

Its even possible that only Yoda and Mace knew about her, being the two highest ranking Jedi.
I would love a series called Shadows to explore what they were doing during the Clone Wars. Could get some interesting plotlines Palpatine could throw them off with finding out his true identity,
I love that the Jedi Shadows are basically the Neurodivergents of the StarWars universe
Jedi shadows were basically the oath of vengeance paladins of star wars
And to answer you question (that you asked towards the end of your video) on our opinion if we would have been interested to see if there was a Show or movie about this sub-branch of the Sentinels (and of the Council of First Knowledge) I have to say I would definitely would have loved to have seen this especially as this show and/or movie could have not only shown a more unique view on the Jedi's other jobs than what we had gotten to see them from the 6 films (especially prequels) but also had fleshed out on what exactly the other Jedi Council's does, particularly especially the Council of first knowledge and we could have seen some new characters and also have had expanded upon some old familiar characters (like master yaddle, Master Even Piell, master Oppo Rancisis, ect.). anyways these are just my thoughts and once again I appreciate all that you do keep up the good work and may the force (either light or dark) be with you 😄👍🏻
I would love to see how the Jedi Sentinels and especially how the Jedi Shadows operated and fought against the Sith Assassins?
Jedi shadows are really cool. I’d love to see this in a Star Wars movie/tv show.
The only jedi I see that could have been a shadow was Quinlan Vos master, Master Tholme was an expert in stealth as seen in the republic comics, he taught concealment techniques to quinlan. Stupendous Wave can you make a video about Master Tholme, that would be great 😉
More on the Jedi Shadows? Most definitely! I say go for it!
so basically, they are the jedi equivalent of the Grey Knights.
good connection
More like a Grey knight who had been possessed and then banished the possessing demon within themselves.
Yep these Grey knights are a thing and very very rare because they have to be strong enough spiritually and voluntarily let themselves become possessed.
Man, this makes me wonder how they felt about the Nightsisters. ESPECIALLY after what happened on Bardottan with Mother Talzin.
This might be my favorite type of jedi honestly.
see/hear more about the Jedi Sentinels? heck yeah.
who does the grahics for these?
More shadows please!
I hope that Jude law's character in Skeleton crew is a Jedi shadow, that would be cool.
Here from Theory, you cover topics that are pretty far out, this is like layer 5 iceberg lore and you've got pages and pages of this stuff. Only weak point I can really see are maybe the AI images, but overall, definitely gonna be a frequent visitor. Hope you keep growing
I’ve come from star wars theory great video bro!
I was just about to reference Maw just as you began to talk about him
I bet even sidious didn't know about them all
The Jedi Shadow would make for a good series or trilogy movie arc if done right. Their image has so much Shinobi aka Ninja vibes, working mysteriously in the shadows, secretly as spies and gathers of information and relics of the Sith.
Thanks for info you are great 👍
My Friend, based on what has been said about the character, my hope/hunch is that Jude Law's character in, Skeleton Crew, may be a Shadow Jedi Padawan, who got lost in the fray of TCW and Order 66.

Yes let's learn more about the sentinels and shawos. I tried to play the class in kotor 1 and kotor 2. Not my style like the consular class the best
Was Set Harth a jedi shadow? He fell to the dark side and became a dark jedi and potential sith apprentice to darth zannah
Jedi Shadows should've been a class in The Old Republic. Would've been so fascinating to have that be the only class that has no dark side options.
We need a full 3 trilogies of this topic
Would Bode Akuna from Jedi: Survivor be considered a Shadow? He did say that the Council sent him undercover during the Clone Wars, and he was an effective spy for the Empire.
Can't fall from the Light, when you live in the Dark.
Sep Hellen was a Shawdow and he fell to the Darkside. He was almost an apprentice to Zanna.
Yes a series
A Shadow was my main in SWTOR. Fun times
If they made a Division type game with this in mind, it would be dope!
Yes more shadow lore please.
Good research
I would love a show like that
Curious about the phase walk ability... Was it this ability that Luke used during 'The Last Jedi' in the duel with Kylo Ren?.. I realize Luke was projecting himself but it was also like he was there but not there at the same time!.. I know that movie was mostly bad but it was at least one cool moment 😊
They should make a series that features these
It would be interested to find out more about them.
Were they immune to being expelled from the order?
Yoda training a shadow saying, gooddddd, feel the the dark side, now, push it back you must. Okay now do it again.
It would be cool to learn more about them.
That would make for a great story
I have a Holocron idea talk about Kazdan Paratus from the force unleashed game.
Jedi Shadows are my favorite class.
Mace Windu would of been a amazing Jedi Shadow
This is great holocron! Jedi Shadows need tv show. We have to know more about them. They are really hardcore. They searching for Darth Sidious. They're fantastic. I would like to know everything about them. See you
