I use a ping anser 2 becu! You can’t beat the fact that it’s real metal that no matter how many color changes it goes through, it can always come back to new. Way cooler than spending $350+ for a painted putter that will look like garbage in 10 years.

Been using a Ping Anser for 20+ years. The reason is simple. I am a good putter with it and I wont be better with something else. Newer does not mean better. If you could buy significant game improvement from your putter, wedges, driver and irons (and every club maker says you can) then why arent we all on the PGA....The ANSER (Pun intended) is you cant buy a better game you pay for it on the practice range and putting green.

I used an Anser 2 for years and then got on the mallet train (Odyssey Strokelab) and my putting completely fell apart. Went for a fitting and discovered I was putting backspin on the ball with my mallet. The fitter grabs and 2021 Anser 2 and I immediately start stroking putts without backspin and start draining putts. The point? Get a putter that fits you. Also will say I enjoy the insert on the new Pings. And the black stealth design is stunning. Hope the finish holds up over time. I did get the bigger grip Rick referred to and love it.

The thing is, quality and desirability are two different things. The poll showed that Scotty Camerons are rated by nearly half of your respondents as the best, followed by Odyssey, with a third.
But, as we know, the putters from all four brands on your survey are excellent, as well as those from other brands you didn't mention. It comes down to that desirability question, I think, and to a large extent the concept of FOMO.

Harwood looks very nice. I have been wanting to replace my Ping mallet from 5 years ago and perhaps give that thing a try. Looks great to my eye

i picked up the Ping Anser 2 in 2020 and i like it... in my opinion, i would’ve LOVED it if it had a metallic face instead of the hard rubber insert.
it’s really difficult to “feel” the ball on impact because the insert dampens everything. some may like it but i think that’s why Ping has lost it’s appeal.
give me an Anser 2 with a metallic face and i’m sure i’ll love it. the grip already dampens the vibration on impact. no need to take away the “feel”

I played with an Anser 3 for quite a few years, but I recently switched to a JAS WTi Anser. It’s the best putter I’ve ever owned.

I just retired my classic Ping Pal2 last year and upgraded to the Ping Sygma Tyne. From alot of the comments, a large part of Ping users are still using the older classics because of the feel. I tried 10 different brands when I switched and went back to Ping because of the feel. I tried Scotty's, Betanardi, Evenroll, Odyssey, Taylor Made and others.

I have owned at least one of all four brands you mentioned and I always seemed to go back to my Ping Crazy E. I just feels right (most of the time)

My favorite putter is an old PING Anser with sound slot I picked up at Play It Again Sports for $7.00 I regripped it. My second favorite is my Faultless-Lee Trevino putter my Mother bought for me almost 50 years ago when I was a teenager, it's a great putter too.

Benched my Scotty Cameron (Studio Design 1.5) for a Ping Heppler Anser 2 last season. It looks good, feels good, and rolls nicely. I don't see that getting replaced anytime soon. I do go out to the garage about once a week to go look at my Scotty though, it is a beautiful putter.

I've had a Ping Karsten TR Anser in my bag since I bought my first set of clubs. Big fan of it and definitely agree that Ping putters are some of the best out there!

I have almost continuously used a Ping Anser putter since the late 1970s and still game one (a Vault 1.0). The ball often goes in the hole when my old hands don't shake too much.

I've been using a Ping putter for about 17 years now. The reason I wanted it back then ??
Ping was THE putter to have at the time.
Maybe I need a scotty Cameron putter now ! Lol

The first new club I bought was a Ping A-Blade. I believe I bought it in 1970 for $19.95 (I think, not positive). I replaced it with a Ping Craz-E about 25(?) years ago. Went back/forth with those 2 for years, but have been using the old A-Blade the last 15 years. It’s a magic stick!! Put a SuperStroke grip on it when they first came out, and have re-gripped it 2 or 3 times since. Currently has a SS Tour 2.0XL on it (as does the Craz-E). I can’t tell you how many times I’ve turned down offers for it. I’ll NEVER sell it!! It’ll literally go to my grave with me!!

I have a Ping Anser Cadence 2 maybe? It was the first club I ever bought after I started playing, I used my dad’s clubs to begin, and I don’t think I will ever get rid of it unless it gets destroyed! I love the Anser style and it just works for me! I’d have a Taylormade Spider but that would be the only other putter that interests me! The new Anser looks wicked though!

So we inherited a house in California from my wife's father, so we rented a dumpster to clean the house out and some people in a truck stopped and asked if the could get a piece of furniture out, I seen in back of there truck I thought was a golf push cart, I asked about it, it wasn't but they said they had golf stuff at home and they brought the stuff and left it by my door, in it was a beautiful Ping Answer 4, I loved how it felt so much I ran and put a new Golf Pride pro only grip on it.

Mi first putter ever was a ping B60 and I used to put wonders with it. Then I discovered the Anser shape and used a weighted Anser for years until Odyssey came with a Anser Shaped Putter, The Odyssey #1 Tour (with extra weight). I have tried Mallet putters but I always putt better with blade Anser style putters.
