You made a point that this family may have been killed to prevent the business staying in the hands of the family, which could be the case. What could also be a cause is the family business may have been extorted. As we know, a business person's failure to pay extortion money in most cases result in death. All of what was mentioned could be a factor but no one knows
This murder happened when I was in my early teen in Jamaica. Since then, I have never forgotten about this family. Even though I did not know them personally, the trauma that I experienced when I heard the news on the radio still echoes in my mind. Jamaican children are being traumatized by the wanton killings in Jamaica. I'm in my 50s, and here telling you that I'm one of those kids traumatized by the news of this murder in 1984. I'm watching the video with tears in my eyes. Thanks, Nigel. You presented the history so well.

@Junjo11 That maybe true but they have also said in previous videos they left Jamaica in the 70s-90s because of the increased violence. This may have been once of the incidents that propelled their move.

You’re assuming it was a contract hit, Im saying they were killed because they refused to pay extortion. I think people heard the shots, but when you live In a community (like downtown) you hear shots all the time.
If this is the same incident that I remembered . Linda Lue was attending Alpha Academy High at the time and not Holy Childhood. The whole school population including myself attended her funeral at the Holy Trinity Cathedral. I stand corrected though.
The funeral of Linda Lue was not held away from the others. So you would be incorrect. It was one funeral for all four family members. Thanks for watching.

@mrcable1996 most people are having their DNA done nowadays that could lead to their family if their family are the suspect it could lead to find the evil who committed this act.
These were my late sons family..
Late son?? Wow Bless your age.

Nigel back in the ninteen sixties when i was a little girl ithis incident was in the gleaner and over the radio in Beverley Hills there was a house where the man and his wife and their young girl they employ a gardener then persons notice they did not see them come but it is said all three of them killed and tied up in the ceiling of the house then the gardener confess is he killed them wiell he were sent to prison and he was out on the road in the late eighties if he is alive now he would be in his ninties
You mean the Christmas Eve Killing of the Campbells? If that's the one , it was not Beverly Hills...It was at Coopers Hill
.I am looking at the presents under the Christmas Tree...A very big doll was there too...from that day I did not want a big doll anymore.P
Very sad 😭😭😭
All the cats and dogs were murdered that unforgettable morning.everyone was surprised at this gruesome act.the Lue family was so loved by everyone who knew them and purchased bread from them.i will never forget them just like i cannot forget the green bay massacre and the evening tide home fire.
Thanks for watching, Everton. I did a video on the Eventide Home fire. I will do a video on the Green Bay massacre too
@JamaicanChapter it would be greatly appreciated.thanks much.
This is very sad
I remember this story and it was all over the country that it was a politician that ordered their death
Thank you 🤩
O my god. What.
My condolences even now to their family and all worldwide.
O god in heaven. A family who saves lives.
This happened when I was 14 years and left Jamaica the November on America thanks giving day
Just looking at the building now in my mind. That ssme Sunday morning I went right in front of Coronation market to buy fish for my Sunday dinner
When I reached to the bakery the place was just gloomy and quiet. By the morning it was on the news. Those murderers killed every living thing that was on the property including the fowl and dog.To this day no one held accountable for those people's murder.Real Sad.God is not a sleep.I heard the little girl was at the table doing her home work.
The were allegedly white out by the down town don mmmm.
Sound like Jim Brown
@@OmarEdwards-ob3iwevery don or steppa dem time de must know a who
That's why if you own a home you must apply for a gun permit
Absolutely awful that showed no mercy to this family how do they sleep at night
Sad
Can you imagine how the Leu family in China and Hong Kong felt about Jamaicans after the murder of their family.
Right, worst if they warned them not to go there.
How did they feel about Tiananmen Square? Evil people are everywhere.
They felt that way before the murders. They have triads to worry about and believe it or not, they have their own murderers to worry about.
Criminality continues to plague that area and never stop. Imagine they killed all forms of lives in the dwelling.
Who buried them and what happened to the bakery after their demise, were there family members living in Jamaica at the time
Wow condolences to them, I wasn’t even born yet. Linda and I share the same birth date
Damn !!!
Brother, its sad case. Cant listen to all of this good by, that is why when bad things happening to there generations cant put a fingers on it because of the wickedness
I worked for the family as a young girl in the bakery for about six weeks before emigrated to Canada in ninety seventy four....my heart is in pain remembering the family.
Scrolling and bumped into this..bought back very sad memories.. Rest in peace Lue's family..🙏🙏🙏🙏😔😔
@@OppoleneChamberswhat were they like any stories ?
@@dovemendez3132 As a very young girl back then now at seventy one years, all I can tell you they were good people, my brain also is telling me that there were an older male and female (Chinese couple who were there also running the business in the back)🙏🙏

Somebody wanted them out the way
I was in my early 20s cant express how i felt at the time of this tragedy..this will forever be in my memory how brutal!! .im from the same area n one of my neighbor/friend, was employed by the lue's working in their bakery...she has to be there very early before opening time..got there saw the massive crowd and heard the news.,..she always walk to work they had to get a cab to take her back home. My friend was bawling like crazy n rolling on the ground... rip to the lue's 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️.. oh and i heard the dogs did not barked!!!!! 🤔
This was like 3 weeks after I was born so sad
If it was indeed a contract k!lling, couldn't it be brought to bear who acquired the business after their de@th? Though it could not be speculated that the person who acquired it was involved, but deep investigation could have gotten something. But then again, those persons are some of the "untouchables" of our society. Wouldn't be surprised if government officials were involved.
What happened to the bakery and home. Was it demolished or sold. Is the property still there?
The extension of the Carnation Market was integrated into the spot where the Bakery and residence was
@onielhenry9345 so that means the property was on the same side as Coronation market. Thanks
@@onielhenry9345 the bakery is still there

Very very sad 😔 deeply 😢
This sounds like someone wanted them out to take their business or to stop them business but killed the whole family this going on from way back smh poor family
One of the saddest day in Jamaica. Very sad.
I remember that sad day when I heard the news.
I remember this Bakery as a child going to buy bread.. there was a pink bunny on top of the counter playing a drum 🥁.. that was the most facilitated thing I’ve ever seen in my life..
My mom used to live on Oxford street near to Spanish town road on a up stairs building.. I always see the kids playing on their balcony.. I was heartbroken 😢
I was told the body on the hand cart was not involved, that’s what the killers wanted the people to think at the time.
Today I saw a 7 inch record on Discogs. Released on the Sonic Sounds’ Gorgan Label the song was released in the 80’s called “Killing of the Lue Family” by General Piggy. Shorty after this showed up on my RUclips feed.
Fa reals member this as a youth ....it's was news flash!! Good find!!
Honestly, this is so sad what can happened to people in this cold heartless and cruel world. However, there as to be more to the story than what they are telling us of what really happened to this family. Yes, Nothing but a Big Cover Up to Protect the Real Criminals.
