Geographically, Guyana is not considered part of the Caribbean. However, due to our historical background, we ARE a part of the Caribbean!
@Bobby Knuckles It's one thing to READ but it's another thing to UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU READ. God bless you.
@Bobby Knuckles do you know what culture is
@Bobby Knuckles I'm mexican
@Bobby Knuckles I don't know why you had to write a bunch of stuff when what he clearly stated in the first time is that GEOGRAPHICALLY Guyana is not a Caribbean nation
It's like saying we Mexicans aren't latinos because we are in North America, when clearly we do have a Latin American CULTURE
Also History does """ change""" geography, take a look at Panama, historically belonged to the Viceroyalty of New Granada, and then to the Gran Colombia, so HISTORICALLY Panama is more of a "South American" country than a Central American one
I don't get how you can't understand that, by using your logic we can also say North African people have more to do with sub Saharan African people than with middle Easterners, or that those middle Easterners should all have some sort of Chinese culture because they are in Asia or something
@Bobby Knuckles CLEARLY YOU DID NOT READ AND UNDERSTAND MY VERY FIRST COMMENT. YOU KNOW GEOGRAPHY WELL? WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING 2 BASIC SENTENCES? HA!
Lots of love from bihar state of INDIA 🇮🇳........... WE ARE BROTHERS GUYANA. ❣️❣️❣️❣️😇
Sure we r connected one side of my g/p from darbanga

@Bobby Knuckles idiot check google and shut the fuck up
@@christianmore9831 geographically it's south American, but culturally it's Caribbean. So I would proudly say I'm south American
@Bobby Knuckles Is Guyana South America or Caribbean?
Guyana (pronounced /ɡaɪˈɑːnə/ or /ɡaɪˈænə/), officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is a country on the northern mainland of South America. It is, however, often considered part of the Caribbean region because of its strong cultural, historical, and political ties with other Anglo-Caribbean countries and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
Alliuchi we don’t take influence from Caribbean countries, we just share a similar culture due to us having similar histories

Remember when there were five Guianas?
1. The Spanish Guiana: murdered by Venezuela
2. Portuguese Guiana: brainwashed by Brazil and now goes by the name Amapá
3. French Guiana: eaten by France alive
4. Dutch Guiana: forsaken and became Suriname
5. British Guiana: Guyana; somehow made it alive
Portuguese Guiana is better of as Amapá ma friend!
Gilberto Egypto
Yeah, because people from Amapá are really similar to people from Pará (The nearest state).
They are, a looooot! They Are even more similar to people from North East Brazil, the people who literally colonized the North... I know a lot of people from there and they are as similar as anyone would expect!
I'm as a Paraense myself can confirm that, literally all my family that has more than 20 years is from Northeast, from the State of Ceará to be specific.
The same goes for most people from Amapá I know... so at the end o the day were more alike than most of the country!

2:21. It is kind of weird to be watching this bit in 2023, 6 years later, with the news that Venezuela has declared they're going to annex this very region to their country by force. You speak as if the continent of North & South America are predominantly Native Americans.
Yeah, the overwhelming majority of even the United States have ancestors from not-America. It's not that special.
The main difference for Guyana is that there are more _Indians_ (from actual India, I mean) than elsewhere in the Americas (percentage-wise).
