- The game has a couple main trains that you can use to travel fast. You can also drive them yourself if you'd like. The Emerald Night is unlocked after you open up all 14 train stations. This replaces the original red train. There is also one trolley in Cherry Tree Hills that can be driven around a small track.

The trolly should always be running along the tracks in cherry tree hills and just barely into Auburn. If you follow those tracks you should find that one at all times since nothing activates it. Also, the Cydonia should be running on the tracks all the time as well. That one would be harder to find since the railroad tracks cover such a huge area, but if you drive along the tracks you should spot it. Emerald night will take over for the Cydonia once you activate all 14 train stations.

This was a cool train tour of Lego City. If there are any new trains in the remastered version of this game (or if you're feeling up to the challenge), can you do a tour of the whole city - like from the station near the police headquarters all the way round the city and back to the same area again.

This is only on the Wii U right now. Considering Nintendo published the game I think it's very likely to stay that way :(

Some interesting things to note:
1. The Emerald Night is based off an LNER A3 Pacific designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, in late British Railways condition, with German style smoke deflectors and the same livery, albeit with BR logos removed and name plate on firebox rather than above central splasher, this is also the condition that the only A3 pacific not to be scrapped, Flying Scotsman, is in since its overhaul in 2016. Its coaches are based off Pullman K class coaches, which is what their livery is based off too.
2. There is actually a small handcar near the green bridge (I forgot what it’s called) which you can drive until the much faster train hits it and it explodes despite not having anything on it to explode
3. The sound effect for Emerald Night is the same when it’s going slow as when it is going fast just sped up, which isn’t very prototypical
4. The trains make a clickety clack noise which indicates the track is joined by rail joints rather than the more common welded rails
5. The Cherry Hills ‘trolley’ is actually a tram
6. Cydonia has a pantograph, however there are no overhead wires for it to pick up power from
7. Despite there being only two trains, each running on there own track, Aurban Bay Bridge has tracks for trains to overtake each other, suggesting there are other trains but they just don’t operate at that time, despite this, there are no tracks which go to somewhere out of bounds where there could be a depot or shed for storing them.

During a few of the story sequences you are playing during more of a sunset time, but no you cannot play at night and when you beat the game it's always day time. It's one of the few things that I found slightly disappointing.

Cyonda kind of looks like the bomodar transit from Germany, and the emerald night kind of looks like the flying scottsmen from the U.K

I remember when I was young and VERY autistic I watched these kinds of videos and always wanted to play this game and drive the trains. However, I was to stupid to know the title of the game (EVEN THO IT WAS IN THE FUCKING TITLE) so I couldn't play it. Now, all these years later, I can finally play.

The other trains don't need to be unlocked as they travel on the tracks from the beginning of the game.
