Hey Paul! Nice video. Btw I just bought a 1080 last night at MSRP on Nvidia's website. They still have 1070's for 399 and 1070 TI's for 449!!! Maybe some other viewers can benefit from this sale.

Wow, that's a surprisingly confrontational comment. I just said I liked the solution. It's not like cable management is "my thing", but in a $500 case, I do expect to see them bringing something interesting to the table. I have no intention of getting this case, but I can appreciate when something is well-made.
Tom5tom Entertainment You keep crying, why you do that? No money, just go for that new PS4! Got money, build a $1500 gaming PC! So easy, but still you cry, Paul i need you!!!!!!
I can see Linus throwing in a dual xeon on eatx system and an 8700k matx /itx build.. Running all the 1080tis in it.. 512 +128 gb ram.. All RGB.. Why not?
I like how at some point during filming they realized they mounted the rear exhaust fan backwards and fixed it but it keeps flipping between main and b-roll shots.
Gavin Earls You love giant mats, needing to know all PC parts, how all wires connect to components. Why you use that, you build lots of PC's? Or you just need a soft mouse mat without ant charging capacity...This big? why this big?
lucas - It's an anti-static building mat, not a mousepad. Although given your responses I'd love to see you try to use it as one, they're super grippy by design. Awaiting incoming incoherent response including something about crying nerds.
For my next build, I'm definitely picking up this case! Bigger is better, lol. I'd make TWO minor changes however: paint the inside white and change the front fan configuration to yield 3 large fans instead of 8 smaller ones.
Buying On a Budget I see you say weird shit all the time, why you do that? You need to upload here, get Final Cut skills! Chatting is 100% bullshit! Why you think Paul is doing promoted reviews??? Use your brain if you have it, stop crying!
I see your point. I will try to improve my skills. But sometimes I just want to watch some awesome videos, learn something from them. While chilling and chatting. I think RUclips is a great community for that.

Does the ASUS ITX Board actually support ECC?? The spec sheet on ASUS' website says it doesn't. I too want to build a FreeNAS setup to replace my Qnap but can't find a motherboard I like that ACTUALLY supports ECC.
dude, this doesn't answer your question, but you look like you know what you're talking about. What's freenas? Apparently it's "enterprise-class storage software designed with data protection as the primary objective" but why has Paul got a second system inside this build? *Confused*
Juan Pretorius it is a FreeBSD based operating system. It is for building your own NAS setup (network access storage). Paul. Thank you Brother. You answered all the BASIC questions which are missing from Corsair's website... Like the ability to daisy chain Commander Pro's, which is missing from all product info.
Tobias Dettinger First in what, first noob cry? Why first noob cry is a thing here? Why you all cry first then? Why are nerdy channels so nerdy, why you do that? Sooooo ultra lame, this Paul channel! Needing promoted crap, all crying.......
Hahahahahahahahaha a few words and the people are angry af. :D Sweet ^-^ I just meant the upload date. Its onle 30 mins between the upload times. I just want to say this. They obviously get it in different times. I just meant the only video upload times. Nothing more. So calm down people. :D
I just did a simple build in a Corsair 1000D, using just fans. My new long term goal, is to look for ways to gradually upgrade and hopefully get a video card the size of a watermelon. LOL ! I found the old thumb screws everywhere to be really annoying. My ASUS X570 fit so perfectly into the spot, that is was so simple to install. I wish the back exhaust area had room for two 140mm fans, but it only has room for one and an additional 120mm or just two 120 mm's. My CPU cord barely reached the powersupply. I would have preferred to have three 140mm fans on the front for my air-build, but that was not a deal-breaker. My Noctua fans would not reach the Commander Pro, but I have the Noctua extension cords laying around here in a pile somewhere, so I will fix that tomorrow. I do not know if I will add a mini-ITX to the build. I wish it had a spot for a Raspberry Pi or Odroid. LOL ! I really did not want a full glass panel, expecially on the back, but I did what hinged doors on both sides. I really wish there was a chassis fan hole on the glass near the video card area. I will likely not have hard-drives on my build, but if so, just one. I plan to fill up the SSD area and have a Linux distro or some other OS on each SSD. The only think unique about my build, is that I have Fedora Rawhide Workstation loaded on the first NVMe which is a fast one, and then I have Fedora 33 Beta Workstation loaded on the 2nd NVMe which is slightly slower, but one TB. For the time being, I just have a new Ryzen 3 1200AF, but I will eventually put something better in. I have a giant Noctua Air-cooler and plan to fill all the fan holes with premium fans. But little to no RGB. www.dropbox.com/s/3djp5xh90sn0ihm/Photo%20Oct%2011%2C%2011%2036%2040%20PM.jpg?dl=0 I am very worried about moving it though, as I am old and frail and live upstairs, and I might have to move out soon due to being furloughed at work because of the COVID b.s.
Paul, this was a great teaser video. However, I want to see the extreme over the top insanity build with this case. Full rads in RBG push pull, custom loops. Max drives 3.5 & 2.5 (m.2 as well!) Maybe even go LLT insane dual cpu server board, just max it all the way up, even that ITX board, max that sucker with all it can handle!! OVER 9000!!
I remember back in like 2011 when you still worked with Newegg, you did the how to build a computer guide and had the i7 2600k, Radeon HD 5000 something gpu (I think), and an Obsidian 650D. That computer was insane for the time!
HI Paul , Brillant Build, I just built an 2700x x470 but had to send the boards back as none of them would let me install windows to any drives, Excellent Paul well done
Dude...oh my frickin case ram jesus..fans slide out rails double system ..my brain is overwhelmed! (Zap followed by smoke coming from ears) why is there only one like button? Can't wait to see more!
Great idea with a NAS build, as the smaller build. I would love it if you could dive a bit deeper into the 2nd build. I'm currently building a NAS for myself, and would love to hear your thought process on building yours.
900D still looks better even with all the years passed. Also, if you want to change/fix PSU for main system, you need to remove secondary as well. Have fun doing that when both systems have custom loops with hard tubing.
Been subbed to your channel for several years now. I don't think I've ever seen you take on a project this extreme before. Definitely not with all the RGB'ness. I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)
For your custom liquid cooling please use the Heatkiller or XSPC waterblock (for the 1950x) as they perform significantly better than the rest of the market.
Paul, may I recommend a 3/4 or 1 ton ductless single zone system for your garage? Judging your space in there, 3/4 or 1 ton will keep your garage nice and climate controlled. All those fancy components deserve it. get a heat pump!
That is a killer case and glad Corsair launched it as the 1000D instead of the Slate. Loving the new Obsidian line-up so far, enough to start at least considering the 500D for my next build as I love the hinged tempered panels and the look of the over-all case (would go for a 1000D but really don't need another gigantic case to go with my CaseLabs M8)
I found the concept of the sadly discontinued *Lian Li PC-D666WRX* way more appealing. The case fitted an EATX and µATX mainboard simultaneously in two separated chambers with space for one 480 mm and two 360 mm radiators.
lighting is looking pretty good @paul one tip- i could give is to try to position them each frame to get rid of all those shadows. other then that they look pretty good. and to try and make it so you can see them in the frame

$10,000 now, $2,000 after GPU

Oh yeah he changed the title, shame I liked the other one
Sione Fetalaiga SAME 💀
I can not wait to see this finished. That is going to be one beast of a machine.
I wish every case manufacturer offered a SKU for most cases that omits bundling fans. Bundled fans are usually garbage.
aidanjt I agree, only budget cases should come with fans
why should budget cases come with fans when people are on a budget they are trying to save money (and budget is not defined by the price of the build someone could have a $3,000 budget for their PC) and to make the most of any budget there should be NO included fans unless they are what someone would expect to put in their case we do not want 5+ year old fans and fan designs we want new fans and I am sure people with low budgets would agree
Zahid Shabir I was thinking for young/old system builders who want as little hassle as possible
Zahid Shabir because they get bulk fans for dirt cheap (0.25c a fan usually) and a budget builder will usually need the included cheap fans.
Most stock case fans from any of the good manufacturers are actually much better than most aftermarket RGB fans nowadays. Especially thermaltakes old(not current) Riing fans which had a max rpm of 1050 and barely flowed anything even maxed
Yes! The Corsair 'Obsidian D-Series" Chasis, infamous for the sickest Custom Loop builds. Achtung Corsair!
Techsource VS Paul's Hardware
I'll support my side by pointing out that I actually installed parts into the case
do you planning custom water cooling on the system?
Corsair and Asus are my favourite component and part manufacturers. One day I plan to make an overkill build like this, for the sheer joy of the building process.
how dare you remove the plastic as the first step. MY EYES!!!!!!! lmaoo jk love ya
What a satisfactory build this will be when it's finished. It's gonna look so freaking cool. Thumbs up Paul!
Paul, do you get to keep this PC or do you have to send it back to corsair and Asus?
Are you asking if he can give it to you ? :D
Axel he is just curious if sponsors ask for their samples back
...yes, I have read what he wrote ?
I was just making a joke, you know ?

You gotta compensate for all the RGB fans :)
dude, that 1500W psu needs to handle everything plus all those rgb fans = 1100W without counting overclock
That NAS, I suspect, is to run 24/7, so having it run at low power, temp, noise is a plus IMHO

What do you run now, old GTX 1080 system, why watch for new gear now?
Or do you like the nerdy Googly RUclips scene here?
We all keep the old gear now, never needing anything new 2018!
yeah i pretty much run a skylake i7 6700k with 8 gb ram sponsored by my brother !..yeah its always tough for students to get into design and simulation without graphics card !!! Lucas rem
Might be cool to buy too, if you have extra doughie laying around.
yeah..planning to buy the new gpu as ssssson as the new models of nvdia gets released !!
Alexander Bukh
All you need is a $500 GPU, a $250 CPU, some board, keep the DDR4, need 5? Need Volta now?
I'm liking the doors on/doors off transition there - very nice.
**insert notification squad comment here**
love you guys!
It's too wholesome in this comments section, I need to punch a wall now lol
Gamer's all cry lameness all day!
Freaky channels!
Present from the Philippines!!!!
There are 69 likes on this comment, and as a notification squad member I want it to stay like that.
Paul. Thank you Brother. You answered all the BASIC questions which are missing from Corsair's website... Like the ability to daisy chain Commander Pro's, which is missing from all product info.
Whole new meaning to computer porn....
I own 570x, now i want this ! Absolutely incredible case.
this "custom" waterloop is so ugly 😭😭
The look 1st attracted me. Good point not so accessible when in its final position having to remove panels to the rear. Very helpful video.
Wait, when this this chanel become Paul's Tech Tips?
Very nice, Paul, can't wait for part 2.
it's making me sad knowing i'll never be able to afford a good computer...
Sees a $10k box, gets excited about the NAS part of it. I was curious how one of those new APUs + ECC works out, so glad you're doing it.
Ed was first hahahaha :D
Tobias Dettinger
First in what, first noob cry?
Why first noob cry is a thing here? Why you all cry first then? Why are nerdy channels so nerdy, why you do that?
Sooooo ultra lame, this Paul channel! Needing promoted crap, all crying.......
Tobias get your tongue out of Ed’s arse. His builds are mediocre at best, consistently outdone by better builders.
Hahahahahahahahaha a few words and the people are angry af. :D Sweet ^-^
I just meant the upload date. Its onle 30 mins between the upload times. I just want to say this. They obviously get it in different times. I just meant the only video upload times. Nothing more. So calm down people. :D
Wow! Christmas came early! Congrats
Ill just slip you my address on twitter. Kappa
No
lol hey
Shame you cant use it cuz you only play fortnight
Kenny !
TBNRKenWorth no kap
Best 1000D video today
So this was like a 500 usd build before the whole crazy price thing right? Kappa
that's one crazy setup that I can only dream about. Unless I win some give away there is no way I would ever afford a beast like that! Nicely done!
Great vid! I can hardly wait for part 2 to see you finish it.
This is going to be so awesome!
I would have preferred to have three 140mm fans
on the front for my air-build, but that was not a deal-breaker. My Noctua fans would not reach the Commander Pro, but I have the Noctua extension cords laying around here in a pile somewhere,
so I will fix that tomorrow.
I do not know if I will add a mini-ITX to the build. I wish it had a spot for a Raspberry Pi or Odroid. LOL ! I really did not want a full glass panel, expecially on the back, but I did what hinged
doors on both sides.

I am very worried about moving it though, as I am old and frail and live upstairs, and I might have to move out soon due to being furloughed at work because of the COVID b.s.
Awesome build Paul! Looking forward to the next video 👍🏻
OVER 9000!!
My gosh that thing is insane. also, its really nice to be seeing a lot of high end AMD systems these days. finally.
Mom: So how did you do on your test today?
Me trying to lie: 0:21
I remember back in like 2011 when you still worked with Newegg, you did the how to build a computer guide and had the i7 2600k, Radeon HD 5000 something gpu (I think), and an Obsidian 650D. That computer was insane for the time!
HI Paul , Brillant Build, I just built an 2700x x470 but had to send the boards back as none of them would let me install windows to any drives, Excellent Paul well done
Holy cow, a 65lb. case for $579.99!! Everything about this PC case is BIG!
Oooo Paul... So looking forward to part 2... 👌👌
Insane Man...Done right
900D still looks better even with all the years passed. Also, if you want to change/fix PSU for main system, you need to remove secondary as well. Have fun doing that when both systems have custom loops with hard tubing.
I'm still using my 800D :) and I still love the Drive bay's and hot swap HDD trays
Been subbed to your channel for several years now. I don't think I've ever seen you take on a project this extreme before. Definitely not with all the RGB'ness. I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)
Looks awesome cant wait !
Finally something I can afford
wait a minute
That is a killer case and glad Corsair launched it as the 1000D instead of the Slate. Loving the new Obsidian line-up so far, enough to start at least considering the 500D for my next build as I love the hinged tempered panels and the look of the over-all case (would go for a 1000D but really don't need another gigantic case to go with my CaseLabs M8)
This rivals Bitwit Kyle's 10K build. Nice video Paul. I hope that Corsair makes an Obsidian case that's between the 500D and the 1000D.
The only words that come to mind is BAD ASS!
Wow !!! big job, nice work done.
Never seen someone apply thermal paste like that, cool build dude
Nice entry-level PC.
I missed this one definitely on my bucket list to build.
Really enjoying this vid!!!!
Love the budget builds Paul 😁😁
Forget RGB, I love that peelin' feelin'!
Finally, a youtuber who almost outlinuses, Linus.. :D (well OK, not really..)
Real nerdporn in any rate.. Great build so far. :)
A fan for every fan ...
That case is absolutely huge.
