I love watching those guys cut. That machine is a absolute beast and the operator is a magician. It takes a lot of practice to be able to hit the cart like that and not spill feed all over. I've run some equipment but the time the cutters that do our families farm gave me a shot our red tractors came back covered in green....... I probably didn't get more than 60% in the wagon 😂
@@southjerseysound7340 claas can actually autofill the trailers while loading over the tractor. but by the looks of it the harvester doesnt have the autofill camera. and if you think this one is a beast, watch some videos about the claas 980 with 12 row header, that thing is another level of awesome
I love u man i'm littel farmer too. I am from Croatia, my dad have a farm and i doing all jobs and I help him in everything. I'm 12 years old and i doing everything, but when u see some kids from my school🤮 I record some videos on my youtube when i have time, this is something like my second hobi. Nice work on the silage bag. Have done a few of those. Its a good idea to put near the barn, we did not and had trouble with animal damage. With that moisture, don't wait till mid winter to open it up! Frozenlage!
We do all our forages in 10 and 12ft bags. Easy way to vent the end is to just cut a small 2" cross in the plastic and after the gas has subsided in a couple days tape it up. Great videos!

Cool, ive seen where i grew up they also do a single bag like a round bail, i believe so they can sell it. And the cattle farms do bunkers and ag bags because the crop can vary alot from year to year.

Since this was gonna be used first, it would have seemed to been a better location to put the bag inside an empty bunk to utilize the concrete floor for lessening spoilage for the two weeks to cook. What do i know though? Great process, Eric.
That Claas sure chews through the corn. The first time I chopped corn it was on an IH 706 pulling a chopper with a 1 row head and an H&S box. It would have taken a couple of days to do what they did in a couple of hours.
Props to your dad. I had rotator cuff surgery 10 years ago and I am pretty sure bouncing around in a tractor would not have been on my dance card for that first three weeks or so.
I Know this is a day late but I would like to say who ever is reading this I hope you know what a farmer is this man right heregets ups before sunrise and goes to bed way after sunset this is a hard working man. He goes in that barn 7 days a week before sunrise and goes and milks the cows and does it all over again later on that day and the milk you drink you can thank someone like him
I wonder in the cows’ minds if they are eyeing that roll of fresh-chopped silage the same as children would eye a wrapped Twinkie on the kitchen counter. Can’t wait to eat it!

Hands up, I'm slow to watch these videos because of work and stuff, but really awesome camera work. I've worked on farms for over 25 years but I still learn stuff watching these videos. Got out of farming now, but really regret it. I miss milking the cows.
Two seasons I drive for a Clus corn chopper. The first season was driving a nearly new Ford with a wagon like you are using. We had three tractors. Then in Ohio I drove a very old straight truck that had a pump body. A skid steer did his best to keep up loading the bagger. That season was no as fun. No air conditioning. Driving directly behind the Claus for opening a field is very messy, especially with your windows open.
As a farmer and a fellow youtuber it’s interesting to see how other parts of the country and the world farm. Most dairy’s went out around here in the 80’s. I have some neighbors who moved here 5 years ago from Pennsylvania. They have built a big dairy. I love to watch them farm because they do things different than what is the norm. They bag all their silage.

@bill slayton cameras and auto steering etc does make a huge difference. But it still takes a lot of skill.

Interesting to see how different Ag Baggers pack. That was a pretty tight package! And Dad snuck in there to check out the goings on.
They can pack as tight as you set them (without blowing the bag out) imo can pack it tighter then a bunker silo

i'd assume you cut the bag open however far back to expose how much you want to take out

One thing nice about AG bags that you don't need a throw tires. We have 360 ton to chop here for the Amish into AG bags. Starting Friday maybe.

Those bags are cool we made one for our sheep and have had it for a while now.
My dad has a silo bagging business and we use boards to seal it and poke a hole at the front of the bag to let the gas out
Then tape the the hole after one day
