I’ve made welds like the ram repair that you did all the time! Main thing Andris is keeping the weld clean as possible brother! Run a pass and grind it until you don’t see any specks of remaining flus or trash in the weld and then put another pass and repeat until you have it filled up! Wire wheel each weld every time you stop welding to remove as much of burnt flux as possible! Andris, the main thing when making a life dependent weld is keeping your weld metal clean as possible in between each pass! Any questions, I’m always here to help! I absolutely admire your innovation and problem solving skills and your attention to sarcasm and irreverence!!! The blue with the red was a nice choice, it will not get lost in a snow storm...by the way, that is a lot of friggin snow!!!
I love the attitude that you have for fixing things you don't have all the best tools or lots of money to spend but you get the job done anyway. It's very impressive. While people are criticizing your work you are out getting things done. Keep up the excellent work! Also when you have washers to drill like that stack up a bunch of them and put a tack weld holding them together. This way they will hold together like a single block and then you grind to the tack weld off when you are done.

Hey I just saw a video on the Echo CS370. It has a bar chain oil adjustment screw in the vertical position facing down under the chain guard. you don't have to remove the chain or guard. Right for more left for less. All Echos are supposed to have this screw. Check it out on your grandfather's saw. Good luck.

A very good way to clean your brushes is diesel and then rinse it off in gasoline. We have gotten years out of paint brushes that way, they wear out before they get hard from paint lol.

The table is anchored to the floor i thought im gonna break that instead. But yeah the 5mm steel plate pn table needs to be thicker. Im thinking a couple of feet atleast 😅

It was very interesting to watch. Great job! Now you need to make a stand to place it on when you are disconnecting it or attaching it to your tractor.
Thanks! I put some log on one side to keep the mounting holes on same level. The issue was that if its placed on the ground one hole is a lot lower then the other making the mounting really annoying plus its so heavy so cant move it by hand. Take care and stay safe!

A trick when clamping different sized pieces together in a vise: put a couple of pieces of copper wire on each side and clamp down. They are soft enough to take up the difference and make a secure grip. I would have used a 'C' clamp at right angle to the jaws also.
Yes. But i am a fire hazard nut so id rather not. Plus thers no room currently i need to get some equipment out. I dont want the excavator in shop its not a good place for it.
Take a look at a backup camera. They aren't overly expensive and for hitching up they save a lot of time. You can watch it as you maneuver right into place. Some guys plow with the blade on the three way hitch but they have to have their head swiveled around to where I wonder how it stays on! A camera fixes that up too. Drive in reverse watching the screen. Takes a bit of getting used to but is pretty simple. Just get a big enough screen to comfortably watch. Now they have the wireless ones so that installation is nothing.

Yup i haven't really needed the swing option to this date, the jaws do open up very wide, Its because i happen to see a guy get shredded into mulch (video from russia) once his jacket was caught on a spinning lathe, that's something that i cant erase from my mind 🤔
you should spend 50 bucks on eBay and get yourself a 2-ton chain hoist, I did a couple years ago and I don't use it every day but every day I use it I'm glad I bought it.
This too big for my bobcat, think it weights about 300-400kg, but bobcat lifting limit is set to 605kg (it can lift 1,2ton, but then it will start to tip over)
Now that you've got that lathe- Find out what all those huge Taps and Dies are good for! Watch "Turn Wright Machine Works" (Keith Fener) and Abomb79 (Adam) and John over at Farm Craft 101 is pretty skilled, too. "Made in Poland" many others here, in the RUclips community, are super helpful. With time & practice- you'll be amazed how easy it is to mill your own stuff. Make a simple propane & brick oven, get some carbon powder to cover red hot parts with, to *case harden* stuff like a pin, after you drill a small grease gallery. Quenching with water shocks the metal, making it brittle like glass. Cooled slowly, in carbon powder is "case hardening". Ever see the shackle of a quality padlock? It reads *"HARDENED".* A brass bushing, with a grease grove in it- is easily parted off stock, boring tool for grease groove. Tap the Boss, put in a Zurk fitting. A 1 cm ring of pipe welded around the grease fitting is always a great idea! Use a plastic cap to cover it. Think, man- if it articulates- it must have "sacrificial" components, one softer than the other; steel against steel is always going to wear, no matter how much grease or even pressurized oil, there must be a sacrificial part. Bushings are usually brass. Bearing EZ-removal, every time? Use Dremel, cut off wheel. Cut perpendicular to the bushing. (
If you had welded the stack of f washer togeather and then enlarged them . Then just grind off the weld and the washers wouldn't move around while you drilled them larger.

Yea, just watched the first part, now here. Too bad you sold that portable excavator-thing. You could've mounted this to the stick, larger fluid tank, extra cooler, etc. Tow it behind the tractor.
He didn't see the value of the pivot point and welded it so it would never pivot again. I bet after using the grapple a couple of times, he wished it would pivot.
My videos are not guides to show how to do stuff, they show how i solve problems that i have on my own terms and however i can. I dont want this channel to be a "how to do this or that" channel. I wil not stop doing what i am doing because i love what im currently doing with this channel. You also can say to stop but in reality you cant do much else, i will not stop. first cylinder you should cut welding only and try to unscrew the eye.then is easy to screw the new eye

An electric fan heater would make your shop more comfortable. It would be too cold for me in there.

A brass bushing, with a grease grove in it- is easily parted off stock, boring tool
for grease groove. Tap the Boss, put in a Zurk fitting. A 1 cm ring of pipe welded around
the grease fitting is always a great idea! Use a plastic cap to cover it. Think, man-
if it articulates- it must have "sacrificial" components, one softer than the other;
steel against steel is always going to wear, no matter how much grease or even
pressurized oil, there must be a sacrificial part. Bushings are usually brass.

Use Dremel, cut off wheel. Cut perpendicular to the bushing. (
If you had welded the stack of f washer togeather and then enlarged them . Then just grind off the weld and the washers wouldn't move around while you drilled them larger.

@@Ants_Pants Noh elektrood keevitusega koguaeg need keevitused kestma ei jää, vähemalt minu kogemuse järgi. Noh muidugi mõni ägedama firma MIG keevitus jah maksab oma hea 1000€ ligi kasutatult, aga on ka hiinakaid mis teevad oma töö soodsamalt ära. Aga noh kui elektroodiga käpa saad asja siis jätka samas vaimus.

He didn't see the value of the pivot point and welded it so it would never pivot again. I bet after using the grapple a couple of times, he wished it would pivot.
