just a tip for anyone at home doing this, leave the skid plate off until the end, this will allow you to check for oil leaks once the car is started and the oil is flowing, you may not have tightened the filter or drain plug all the way. Once everything is sealed and the oil level is good, then you should put it back on. Good luck everyone, and thanks for the vid😄👍🏼
Thanks, for taking the time to do the video. Great job. Folks remember to wipe around the oil filter and drain plug to remove any oil droplets. This way you can quickly see if you have any oil leaks around the filter or drain plug after filling new oil and starting. Double check the torque on the drain plug to ensure it was tightened. They forget to do this in oil changing shops so no one is perfect. Then put on the plate last after ensuring you have no leaks. I know this is elementary but you would be surprised. (This was not meant to be criticism, just added caution) great video though.
Great video still to this day. Don’t know why all the dislikes but the video is extremely helpful for Nissan Armada owners. I guess they’re mad that their little V6 engines can’t haul a fat toad! 🤣
And a word of caution on these brush guards. I've had the quicky oil change guys strip out 2 of the 10 mm screws and lose screws. I've stripped out one screw myself. The thread depth on the frame members is very thin so be careful when you tighten these screws you don't over-tighten.
Mine is a little different...heavier, due to it being AWD. The undercarriage looks BULLET-PROOF! All kinds of steel and lots of gussets. No wonder it weighs 5,700lbs.
I did my wife's Armada for the first time she just bought it probably two months ago. It had Brandon bolts and screws. Not one of them was the same size
I like to replace the oil filter first because it’ll be less messy. You can still install the new oil filter without the old oil getting into the new oil filter. The engine isn’t running so oil isn’t going to recirculate into the new oil filter.

NutzAboutBolts yeah i got that one and cant get it to function properly. the damn filter is in so tight i cant get it out. i usually do it by hand. Not this time.

May want to wear safety glasses when Paul and skid plate off. I had a bunch of stuff falling my face
Definitely lol, I recommend safety glasses especially on skid plates, had my fair share of crap coming off under there onto my face and eyes.

FTW 1 I wanted to know how many liters does the 5.6 takes
Just a tip I like to fill the oil filter with some oil before putting it on that way it won't be empty when starting it

true, I've dealt with these type of bolts before on other vehicles with mud guard. I hate them and I wish they used a longer bolt lol
The video is about changing the oil not his face lol...cool video though 👍
david el deek lol thanks
Easy Breezy!!!!!..Even a "Cave Man" can do it!!!!!...
Thanks for the video!! About to tackle this right now....
+Jason Jubert nice!

Your skid plate came off way easier than mine....
probably because it didn't have rust... sometimes rust makes it hard to remove it.
Mine is a little different...heavier, due to it being AWD. The undercarriage looks BULLET-PROOF! All kinds of steel and lots of gussets. No wonder it weighs 5,700lbs.
Thank you.
I just removed my skid plate and all the bolts snapped but 2.
I did my wife's Armada for the first time she just bought it probably two months ago. It had Brandon bolts and screws. Not one of them was the same size
I love my armada only bad this is i cant do a burnout
Why did u install new filter before draining all the old oil 1st

Bruh, why 6 bolts for the skid plate? Did they have to be that ridiculous with it?
I know right? 😂😂
es lo mismo en la infiniti qx56. 04
Why is he's face blurred out? LOL.
Yod S just privacy purposes lol
I lost the bolts for my skid plate any idea what size I need to replace them!
I think they're 10mm bolt

what size cap wrench is that?
I forgot, but its adjustable. You can find them at any Auto part store. There is 2 different types, make sure its this version.
NutzAboutBolts yeah i got that one and cant get it to function properly. the damn filter is in so tight i cant get it out. i usually do it by hand. Not this time.
Papa Jones
you use it with a 3/8 ratchet, if you need torque, use a longer ratchet. It should do the trick since it grabs the oil filter really tight.
WHat?! It needs 8-10 quarts of oil?!
it needs 7 quarts. Its a big ass engine :(
@@NutzAboutBolts I put 8 is bad ?
VL oaxaco you might want to check your dipstick to see where it is on the dipstick line
It takes 6 1/2 quarts with the oil filter changed

Can u access the filter without taking off the skid plate
nope.
Dude???!!!..Did you even watch the vid??!!!......Dang!!!!... What are you Super Man and can reach thru plated steel....WOW !!!!...Tell you what??..Just leave yours off and you wont have to worry about that "wittle ting"...., Okay ??!!!
iamomeed like making love without taking off any clothing.
NosireeBob!
You can but it's easier to take it off
Did you have to jack up the car at all to do this?
No, it was high enough to take off the skid plate and drain the oil and remove the filter.
