  • This is Up Front with Simon Jordan. A show brought to you by William Hill that pulls no punches and tells it EXACTLY like it is.
As England look to make their mark at the Rugby World Cup, on this episode Simon is joined by a member of the most successful English rugby side of all time. The 2003 World Cup winner and a leader who was inspired by tragedy.
Lawrence Dallaglio was a one club man, a Lion and an England great who was once described by Warren Gatland as ‘the best captain he had ever worked with’. Lawrence joins the show to discuss his life and career which contained success and scandal in equal measure, whilst telling us the mistakes England have made which means they’ve failed to replicate the success of 2003.

Great interview Simon. Lawrence is unique and outspoken, but never dismissive or petty.
It is a pity that England could not harness all his drive and passion to assist any given Head Coach.
He has all the qualities which Borthers lacks - in spades - but possibly does not have THE ideal overall package to be the number one guy.

The section on the current state of english rugby, just having finished the world cup 2023, where our team were extremely lucky to get where they did, everything lawrence states about the current position of our team are the exact comments we have in our pubs and workplaces in my area. So his observations, as a professional player being the same as us minions watching the game, there must be something in what he says.
