      REGINOX It will never stop until the government enforces strong regulations to vending machines, and businesses who seek to put them make sure they are in a secure place with cameras. Also, it’s up to society as well. Because it is not reasonable when just a few greedy people ruin the fun for all of us who just want a tasty and cheap vending machine meal. It can happen one day, let’s hope !

      I posted this in my own comment, but i wanted to reply to you specifically as well.
      The plastic bottles throw off the taste. Plastic has a weird chemically smell cause its a man made material. Glass is natural, so it doesn't have that chemical taste cause there's no chemicals. And aluminum has that metallic taste. Soda in glass bottles gives you the soda's true flavor.
      That's my theory anyway.

    Coca-Cola ALWAYS tastes better from a glass bottle! I don't know why, but it's true.

    • @stapuft
      @stapuft 5 лет назад +47

      It's simple.
      Glass isn't porus, so the carbon dioxide can't leak out, therefore it stays In The bottle, keeping the pressure up, preventing more co² from escaping the soda, meaning it will be fizzier, and that level of fizzyness is what all the ingredients were formulated for.
      While aluminum also isn't porus, it is reactive, and can therefore leach into the soda, giving it a metallic taste, but glass is non reactive, hence why glass ware is used in lab settings.

    • @lindtn
      @lindtn 5 лет назад +13

      @@stapuft thx for the explanation! is it possible the glass can keep the soda colder? coz that's the impression I get when i drink one

    • @stapuft
      @stapuft 5 лет назад +16

      @@lindtn yeah, glass like plastic is an insulator, but the extra thickness and the better insulating capabilities (it goes liquid at a much higher temperature) it has over plastic make it a better insulator. Whereas metal is a conductor drawing the heat\coldness away from the drink and into the can.
      Also the thickness of the glass and pressure from proper carbonization of the soda, makes the sealed bottle a high pressure container, which lowers the freezing point of the liquid inside allowing it to go to around 30°f or so without becoming ice, and so because of that, the mechines that dispense the glass bottles can (and sometimes are) actually be set at freezing or lower, while still dispinsing liquid and not ice.
      But if they are set to such a cold temperature, you can sometimes be greeted with an "instant icee" where the drink appears liquid while sealed, but when you release the pressure by popping the lid, the first bubbles that form instantly freeze and starts a chain reaction freezing the whole bottle. (There are multiple videos demonstrating this effect with plastic bottles, but what most neglect to say is there is a narrow time window for that with plastic, but with glass, due to its superior capabilities over plastic the time window is virtually infinite)

    • @stapuft
      @stapuft 5 лет назад +6

      You can only take out one bottle. The mechanism doesn't allow you to take more. These are the type of machines I grew up with and believe me, people would try to trick the machine! So, a really interesting(ish?) fact about those old coca-cola vending machines. Back when they were all still around and in working order, it was possible for people to open the door, pop the cap off of the bottle, and let it flow into a cup all without paying. I imagine it's not very hard to figure out why they stopped using that vending machine design.

    It tastes better from a bottle because the glass bottle stays colder & nothing leaches into the Coke from the bottle

    "Why does Coke taste so much better from a bottle?"
    The plastic bottles throw off the taste. Plastic has a weird chemically smell cause its a man made material. Glass is natural, so it doesn't have that chemical taste cause there's no chemicals. And aluminum has that metalic taste. Soda in glass bottles gives you the soda's true flavor.

    • @ShadowmarkReturns
      @ShadowmarkReturns 5 лет назад +1

      Exactly, it sucks that glass sodas are so rare nowadays.

    I've seen this vending machine area one time before on Eric surf 6 channel but I don't remember him explaining how many vending machines there were.
