Now for all you shadetree painter's who keep posting your video's.. This is how you paint a truck.. Absolutely professional! Nice booth very proffesional workers..
It looks great and will look better with the clear coat, colour sand and polish. Hope you upload more of this fine machine during the rest of the renovation especially when it's completed and running.
OMG!!! the size of this paint booth... 'Looks like you are taking great care to recreate the original paint scheme. Thumbs up! I'd like to drive a classic rig like yours.
Wow!!!! That is some beautiful work! Loved the first video with all the explanations and inside info, awesome stuff! And I am also very happy that you do a stock resto on this one, not too many of those around and certainly not of this caliber! I sure hope I can see this gorgeous Kenworth in real life some day when I visit the west coast again. Keep up the good work and the updates! Cheers from Finland!
They surely are -- due to length restrictions on B-doubles and Super B-doubles -- but these are being relaxed now. Cabovers are still VERY popular due to the fact that they have EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A COMPACT PACKAGE.
Rig turned out great Paul!! I’ve talked to Paul Sagehorn about your truck and have seen a few articles on your rebuild process! Great build! Sure is a top notch rig!!!
Amazing that this truck had to be restored ------------ they are a dime a dozen -- (so to speak) - out here in the Land Downunder. The paint scheme is very reminiscent of Australian highway trucks in the 890's. And we are right hand drive to -- just what our Pommy friend needs.
Back in the day, all these guys would have had long hair, likely in pony tail, and bell bottom jeans and Paisley shirts, a wide leather watch band..damn it I miss those days LOL 🤠
Hi oiljerk, Thanks ! Oh yes she has an original visor fitted, it was painted separately. Check out this site for the whole project to date (including pictures with the visor !) the web address is in the video description. Thanks everyone for the kind words. Progress is going well, just finished all new air lines, doing final colour sanding details and glass about to go in. I'll get working on another video soon ! Paul.
Come to the Land Downunder ------------- probably 50% of long haul trucks are cabovers and most of those are Kenworths. Then you have your Freightliner Argosy's and your Volvos and Scanias but the KW cabover predominates.
Just found your videos, Bloody fantastic, can't wait to see the finished rig but I don't do "Farcebook" so cannot check you page. Nice to see somebody doing a proper restoration rather than customising the truck to death. Your accent sounds like your a "Brit", So Greetings from England.
very beautiful kenny, me and my dad are doing up a K100E, it won't be as flash as american stuff, because we are in New zealand haha but yup, it's got a series 60 in her, whistles awesome as! :)
Thanks everyone for your kind words and enthusiasm ! The Kenworth K100 Club that I started originally on Multiply a few years ago has moved to Facebook - search for The Kenworth K100 Club. Regarding the progress, life got in the way a little but she's nearly done. There will be a third video very soon. Paul.

You do realize you missed an opportunity to do a classic BJ and the Bear paint scheme on this truck right? Seeings how this was the model he drove on the show. Great work otherwise.

This what I love and miss about the trucks of the 70's and 80's. ! They had great paint schemes and styling that the trucks of today lack.

Much as I love BJ's red, this in an outstanding color scheme. Love it!
Great paintjob. Its really nice to see that you went with a color other than red like so many people do with the Salem paintscheme.
Simply beautiful! What a work of art, labor and love!

Great Job!!! I love those old cabover trucks and especially the old sreaming detroits!!!
I owned one for 11 years and loved it...mine was white but I love the classic paint work....cab overs are very popular in Australia

Amazing job!!
please update everyone with a new video....cant wait to see the truck finished!
Love this. Ya don't see too many cab overs anymore..
cuz they look like you crashed into a wall
Because the overall length law was extended making the cab over obsolete in America. You see them all over Europe
Come to the Land Downunder ------------- probably 50% of long haul trucks are cabovers and most of those are Kenworths. Then you have your Freightliner Argosy's and your Volvos and Scanias but the KW cabover predominates.
