- Here's my 1979 Kenworth K100 Aerodyne in the spray booth during the paint process. Next will be clear coat, colour sand and polish....then home for reassembly and completion. Check out the entire project from start to current status at:

This what I love and miss about the trucks of the 70's and 80's. ! They had great paint schemes and styling that the trucks of today lack.
It looks great and will look better with the clear coat, colour sand and polish. Hope you upload more of this fine machine during the rest of the renovation especially when it's completed and running.
Now for all you shadetree painter's who keep posting your video's.. This is how you paint a truck.. Absolutely professional! Nice booth very proffesional workers..

And I am also very happy that you do a stock resto on this one, not too many of those around and certainly not of this caliber! Amazing that this truck had to be restored ------------ they are a dime a dozen -- (so to speak) - out here in the Land Downunder. The paint scheme is very reminiscent of Australian highway trucks in the 890's. And we are right hand drive to -- just what our Pommy friend needs.

I owned one for 11 years and loved it...mine was white but I love the classic paint work....cab overs are very popular in Australia
They surely are -- due to length restrictions on B-doubles and Super B-doubles -- but these are being relaxed now. Cabovers are still VERY popular due to the fact that they have EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A COMPACT PACKAGE.
this is gonna be one sweet ride.
i am starting to see more old cabovers on the road again.

Thanks ! Oh yes she has an original visor fitted, it was painted separately. Check out this site for the whole project to date (including pictures with the visor !) the web address is in the video description.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Progress is going well, just finished all new air lines, doing final colour sanding details and glass about to go in.

Because the overall length law was extended making the cab over obsolete in America. You see them all over Europe
Come to the Land Downunder ------------- probably 50% of long haul trucks are cabovers and most of those are Kenworths. Then you have your Freightliner Argosy's and your Volvos and Scanias but the KW cabover predominates.
very beautiful kenny, me and my dad are doing up a K100E, it won't be as flash as american stuff, because we are in New zealand haha but yup, it's got a series 60 in her, whistles awesome as! :)
