I'm a die hard Peterbilt man, but I gotta say, that is beautiful. I am also a B.j. and the Bear fan. One of the TV shows of my childhood that shaped my future. Over 2 million miles, accident free I might add, and still truckin! Thanks I love that truck.
Paul Cox is a Fascinating Chap. His Restorations are world class and done Factory Correct. And this from a man who has a Background in Recording Studio Design and Construction. Which are also Top Notch. When I first met him in the late '80s when he was starting his collection He told me of his love of Semi Trucks. He told me then "Someday I Will Own one". And Lo and Behold he now does. And in true Paul Cox fashion it is one of the finest KW K100 Aerodynes I've ever seen.
It is a beautiful restoration, with a few modifications to weak problem area's. I have always thought that painting the frame rails the same as the cab paint scheme make it look so much cleaner and finished out. The dude really has an eye for details, and he sure showed them off in this build.
Awesome! No one ever points out that you can stand on the regular floor behind the seats. That was the only model on the market where a person could do that. Top Notch of the industry.
Beautiful truck Brother when I was about the same age, I had 2 brothers that each drove cabover Kenworth 100s. They were both owner operators pulling flatbeds. I spent many a hour in those trucks, and they had me driving when they were tired by 15. It was a different time back then, but i'd love to have one. Anyway loved the truck, great music from then to.
Gorgeous truck! I too am a fan of BJ & The Bear, which is how I came to this video. I'm a little surprised you didn't paint it with the TV show scheme.
Would be cool to rent it out to a trucker with stipulation that you get to video the hauls with different trailers, plus it'd be back to making $$ as intended. And of course, magnificent choice for a resto project! Here in the PNW, I occasionally get treated w. seeing a COE, always reminded of the day they were most popular and common. Great work! to all that had a part in the resto
no one ever pointed out that this is the ultimate truck to make love in or play football .i have had mine for 30 years and dont think i will part from it .Kenworth the worlds best trucks
Movin On, BJ & the Bear, Smokey & the Bandit were some of my faves! 🥰 Looks like you took this K100 all the way down to sheet metal/aluminum! 🧐 Did you rebuild or add onto the doghouse? You have one SHARP KW! 🤩 Love the color and all. Driving a rig is just simply wonderful in my book...much different than driving a hot car! 🥰 Good stuff! Cabovers rule in my book! 🥰 The Porter Dude of Ohio! 🇺🇸
i know what you mean about the paint job. i did my 88k100 flat top and when we were done the stripes were not what i expected lol but looks great any way its a Kenworth .
