  • In this video I show you guys the new sandblast cabinet that I bought from Amazon.com and how to set it up in your home like I have, or a garage/shop is even better. I will link as many of the parts I used to assemble this setup below in the description.
    Overall the setup was straightforward and simple but it took me awhile to find all the air hose connections and some of the other parts I added to this cabinet. As you guys will see the cabinet worked well on this test part and I’m happy to say that it was totally worth it for my first blaster! I have some improvements to make on it and will make another video further reviewing the cabinet and hopefully I can make it work even better.
    I will also be doing some at home cerakote and powdercoat videos soon if that interests any of you guys. After all that is why I got this sandblaster and most people as well use it for paint prep.
    For my Yz450f fans, a new video will be coming soon! Going to be rebuilding the rear brake master cylinder and caliper.

    That is a well built well equipped and sturdy cabinet . It is also very expensive but well worth it. I found a Harbor freight sand blast cabinet for $50 and I have been upgrading it with incredible upgrades and I am looking for another one to convert to a vapor honing cabinet. Really great video and awesome cinematics!!!

    Thanks for your help with this thing. I found your channel when I searched for setup info on this particular cabinet. Mine arrived in the mail today and just like the Amazon reviews, the legs were all bent up and the plexiglass face was both bent and broken. I took my mallet to the legs and straightened them out, and bent the top back into place. The plexiglass still has a crack in the corner, but it’s not worth my time returning it. The next one will probably be broken too. I’ll live with it. My impression with this thing is that it’s cheaply made and COULD not work properly. I say ‘could’ because, as you demonstrated, spending time and a bit of money on proper setup will make this thing work the way it should. I think the average consumer should understand that they’re not going to get a perfect sandblaster when they spend $160 on this thing. It’ll take another $100+ on fittings and accessories, plus some engineering, to make this thing viable. You get what you pay for. Other quality setups were in the thousands. As a hobbyist, this is going to work fine for me, just as it is for you.

    So. Your compressor is rated at 132.25 cfm. The S is scfm stands for squared. Overkill is an understatement here but if you ever want to open a body shop, you’re one step in the right direction 😂

    • @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ
      @FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ  2 года назад

      I promise, there is nothing overkill about this compressor. If you know anything about these blasters, they run a crap ton of air, my compressor works hard to keep up. I've been blasting for 2 years now.

      @UnsolvedMysteries4u 2 года назад

      @@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ You said it yourself. Your blast cab requires 10cfm and you’re giving it over 10x that. Overkill if I’ve ever heard it. I’d also encourage you to take a look at the comments from a couple years ago stating that a 16 cfm compressor works solid for this setup.

    Nice video. Please buy a proper mask to protect your lungs. You only get one set and this shit will fuck you up. May not seem dusty but it will be in the air. It’s the three things I workshop owners neglect the most. Eyes ears and lungs. I’m not being a boring misery but I suffer with lung condition (unrelated to workshop) and until you struggle you don’t realise how much you take for granted. Keep up the good videos 💪

    11 cfm isn't strong enough most people want to be able to take off anything, paint powder coating, ect. Most people get sticker shock at the price of industrial strength compressors, which is what you need. I started out the same way you are, and I had a compressor that was even stronger than yours (Ingersoll Rand, 18cfm). My compressor wasn't strong enough. I do powder coating and custom hydro dipping with custom film, and by far the prep too way longer than it should've. Between clogged lines, guns, shitty harbor freight everything, it killed the workflow. You need compressor that is too strong to clog. The types of compressor that are truly good, usually cost $2500 or more, can be much more).
