Is Las Vegas an affordable bargain destination for visitors? Or overpriced and expensive?

  • Is Vegas still considered an affordable, bargain destination? I think there are definitely deals to be had and occasional true steals, but I do not believe Las Vegas is, by definition, incredibly affordable to most people. It takes planning and effort to budget a vacation and not overspend and the largest price tags are often the things guests want to do the most. Do YOU consider Vegas an affordable spot to unwind or party? How much do you spend on average when visiting? #vegas #lasvegas #vegasstarfish #vegasexperience #vegasvacation #vegasnews #vegasonabudget #cheapvegas #vegasdeals #traveldeals #travel #vacation #vegasgetaway #vegaslocal #vegasprices #whattodoinvegas

I was in Vegas early March of this year. Spent $325 all together including room, transportation, food, club entry, entertainment, and some extras. I was there 3 nights. Pretty solid deal for this day and age and i had a great time.

I moved away 10 years ago and at the time you could get rooms for around $20 a night and find buffets for $10. Times have definitely changed.

Vegas is totally affordable if you have a corporate expense account. Otherwise, you're bargain hunting for truly affordable food and entertainment options. And that's a long way to go to shop for deals.

An absolute blast for adults, but absolutely not affordable. Budget about 250 per day, not including gambling.

Vegas has done an exceptional job in providing entertainment at pretty much any level. I do agree shows are too expensive so I skip those now. There are cheap eats all over the city. You have shown us a lot of these. The rooms are more expensive, but you can still find reasonably priced rooms at various locations around Vegas. To me the only down fall is when you get a room at the Excalibur and then complain it doesn’t measure up to Resorts World or the Wynn. It’s a simple case of knowing what you’re looking for and booking accordingly.

Its affordable if you know were to go and what to avoid. Get off the strip and go where the locals go.

The Strip is why people come. Otherwise you can go to Mississippi and see things. There are certain things in town you do want to see though as well as a few things outside the city but it takes at least 10 days to see it all. You cannot do it all in a weekend.

The product costs for that $21 drink is about 60 cents. Vegas for tourists is a ripoff. Who are you kidding??!!
Add the $45 resort fee and taxes to that
Room and your at $110+ for a dump!!
Who are you kidding !!?? Even the Motel 6
Is $85+. I know. I live here. Love your

    Caesar's Buffet $12.99
    Shrimp cocktails .99 cents !
Vegas flights were $25, one way from San Diego.

Not long enough of a stay. You have to stay 10 days to see it all including Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. I used to go out and stay a month at a time. I like things slow and relaxed, not rushed.

Since I stay at places far from the tourist corridor, like South Point, my trips are still very affordable. The Strip in particular is a colossal ripoff.
