As an American, this is embarrassing. We desperately need to change who can run for president. If a convicted felon can’t vote in our country, they shouldn’t be allowed to run for president. This has been a nightmare for most of us.
He actually will be able to vote once his sentence is complete. Each state has different laws. He resides in Florida. Florida law says whatever state you're convicted in, that's the law you follow in regards to voting. New York allows felons to vote once they've completed the sentence. There should be a law that doesn't allow felons to be president, but that would probably fail too. Look what happened when they tried to enforce the insurrection law and keep him off the ballot.

Yes exactly! AND convicted FELONS can't serve in the military. So how could he be the commander in chief of the US armed forces! We need new laws to prevent this in the future.
Imagine someone like trump, but smarter, manages to get elected. Once in office they quickly corrupt the DOJ because they actually understand how to do that. The DOJ is then deployed to get anyone running against them convicted. If the DOJ succeeds, there's no more competition.
I agree that this is embarrassing and something needs to be done, but I'm not certain that is it. The situation is something of a catch 22.
More than once I have stated that any candidate for major office ought to
be required to have a psychological assessment test & interview.

There are 2 attorneys in with this group of jurors, I have always taken that as a good sign. The Prosecutor's did an excellent job. Trump consistently stored up negative energy around himself. It just all feels good!

Growing up my father was violent, demeaning , manipulating, I see many of those traits in Donald Trump. My dad wouldn't listen to others including Doctors. Donald Trump exhibits many and more of the same traits. My dad died of a heart attack he virtually was at war with himself. I've always believed Donald Trump will suffer the same fate.
