  • The Butler Wash Ruins is a widely visited Anasazi site located off Highway 95 southwest of Blanding, UT. Although the ruin has not been restored, the area is partially developed. The Butler Wash Ruins access is well signed with the parking area right on the highway. There is a well-maintained trail to a fenced observation point, complete with interpretive signs, that overlooks the ruins. The Butler Wash Ruins was once a small community and it's a great place to see Anasazi ruins in a natural setting. Access to the observation area is easy but accessing the ruin is much more difficult and not encouraged by officials. anasazihikes.co...

Leah and I are two humans who no longer support the inhuman, oligarchic empire model destroying our planet and our true nature as human beings. As activists we decided to do something about it, so we opted out of our former lives to begin anew. We are currently transforming pristine alpine wilderness into a self-sustaining homestead and organic farm in preparation for the upcoming collapse. / oppenheimerranchproject

Hi Diamond & Leah 🙋🏻‍♀️ Ransom , Allen , Rex! Wowzers, what an amazing place!
Love seeing the architecture inside those massive caves. The floors they made & timbers still in place.
Those pictograms look really old , upside down squatter man with wings & hands , could be a Thunderbird.
It's good you are all out together for couple of days.. I bet it does get cold there at night. Can't wait to see more.

I am Diné, from the 4corners area. We have many sites that are on tribal land which have undisturbed "archeological ruins" (many people to this day. Use them sites to perform traditional dances and ceremonies. There's even a cave near my late paternal nans homestead where there is a woven mat, sandles, several pots. One is still sealed and the others have old corn cobs, some corn husks, beads and griding stones scattered around. The broken pot shards are remnants of funerary offerings to help the ancient ones make it to the next world. Those places we leave ALONE. Just alil bit of oral teachings I thought id share with yall! (Also tapping on wooden beams such as your mate did, calls on the ancient ones. I wouldn't be doing that..they might follow you home lol)...

The mud deposit you're talking about a while back you said that the water levels were much higher and it was much more wet weather maybe the mud was all planted outside their doorstep and lush with vegetation but when the drought hit it eroded away due to no root mat holding it in place

What an awesome adventure. It's incredible that the rich history of these civilizations was so disrespected and destroyed by those who came afterwards. I am confused about what was being depicted on the rocks and where the event they were seeing was actually taking place. So, if they were in this Utah valley and seeing these images in the sky, were they seeing an event that was damaging the earth a great distance away or close by? Was it an ongoing event of massive electrical discharge occurring regularly over a generational span of time or something that occurred in less than a season?

I can't help but think that these ancient people saw the electric signs in the sky and sheltered in the rocks for protection until the earth's atmosphere stabilized. With the increase in sprites, more severe lightning storms, etc, I wonder when we'll start to see the same electrical events that they saw. I'm not sure my basement will be adequate protection; however, there are a lot of caves in Northern Arkansas.

I mean no disrespect but every time I hear ooh and ah about these structures they built the Parthenon approximately 2,500 years ago and we're studying science. These people were living in poorly corid buildings on the side of cliffs not that remarkable compared to the Greeks of the Romans. I honestly wonder why they were so far behind the rest of the world. I have a theory that some of them were the remains of the Atlantean like Chaco Canyon. That is high scale engineering. I just think after a long enough time they lost their knowledge that's my guess anyways. We know that there's a definite possibility they came up from the south Mexico and South America and they built amazing pyramids there two exacting standards I'm just trying to figure out who these people were in America and why they were so behind the rest of the world Asia Africa South America Europe etcetera. I find it all fascinating thanks for taking me along🎉🎉
