We usually from DFW to LHR to CMB to MAA/TRV. It breaks up your journey in 10-hour segments instead of a 16-hour segment from DFW to DXB or DOH and then a 4-hour segment to MAA or TRV. The food and overall inflight service is excellent in UL.
You also have a break in LHR where you can go out and do a little visit and be back for the connection. The flight to MAA is almost immediate but to TRV is the next day and UL gives you free accommodation.
One word, the service inflight is impeccable, among the friendliest crew.
You have good trip reporting skills. i am very impressed with your presentation and to me you are within the world's top 10 aviation youtubers and definitely number 1 from India
For travellers using SriLankan Airlines please note their website has informed effective from yesterday 07 July 2023 their operations at Chennai airport are shifted to the brand new integrated terminal 2 from earlier 3/4) terminals . (To be on safe side during transition days I suggest do double check with airline office when going for departure or recieving arrivals.)
Yes sir. As of now all international operations have been shifted to the Terminal-2 which is the new integrated terminal.

2010 and 2011 went to Ceylon with Jet Airways (Indian fleet). For that very short flight I had full vegetarian meal on board! From Ceylon back to Chennai with Indian Airlines I had full vegetarian meal on board!

You can pick up the arrival cards just before immigration. Filling it up takes only a few minutes
What inflight breakfast is served now ?
The same stuffed sandwich irrespective of what time we travel on this sector. Flew on the same sector a week back and it’s the same.
My flight from Chennai to Bangkok via Colombo srilankan airlines has 20 H wait. Will I be able to go to city?
You need to apply for a visa. The process is very simple. I myself did something similar when our transit time was 13 hours between my arrival from Chennai and departure to Singapore from Colombo.

name with initial-?? (name- rudra roy as given on passport, then what will be there)
Hello. The arrival card asks you for the basic details. Such as name, address, flight number on which you arrived etc. In every case fill up details as per what is there in your passport. I hope it helps.

I was impressed with SriLankan. Both their hard product as well as their customer service. Though from what I’ve read and heard, the A330-200 are quite outdated as compared to the -300 I flew on. Anyways I’m hoping I’d get an opportunity to fly them on the long haul😃
