    Real Avid reached out to me after the first video and while they like it, I was made aware that I made a couple little technical mistakes with their product and they asked me to try it their way. Here's the results...

    I bought the same thing after I had my primary arms scope mounted by the gunsmith and it was canted. I remounted it by sight and got the reticle level. Once it came and I used it, I found out I was spot on.

    Thanks for the clarification, I picked up based off your review and it seems to do the trick pretty well.

    I have this tool but the one flaw is where the scope rings are mounted on the rail. Maybe not perfectly under the receiver? If the receiver is level maybe need to shim the “V” on one side of the level right pro with playing card to equal receiver level. Receiver level should over rule the tool. In a perfect world the rings are exactly over the barrel and this tool would be right on.

    I bought one, but ended up returning it, because the target itself was not true to the level on the target. when I leveled the board with the target, the actual target was canted.

    Wondering if you are still using the Level Right Pro 2 years later or if you found you have a more preferred method?

    Go check out McWhorter rifles new video. They level the ACTION, and then use a level line with a flashlight mounted on an upside down ring. You can still buy this system you reviewed, it’s obvious that you level the action, not a piece of plastic or whatever the contraption is in this kit.

    Anyone have the issue of the light not charging? I've gotten TWO replacements from them and none of them charge at all! I've tried using different charging cables as well and none seem to charge the light but works fine on other electronics.

    I bought one of these today, and I am not impressed. The bubble on the bell side barrel piece was unglued and loose in the box. So you have to question if the bubble mounted into this piece is level from the factory. How do they determine if it's level? I'm going to take it into a machine shop, make sure the bottom is square, then put it on a leveled table and super glue the piece back in. Shoddy craftsmanship from the factory for sure.

    Nice video. But this looks like a variation of doing the same thing with a plumb line. How is it better?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 года назад

      I’m reality it’s not but there’s people who want to do it in their garage or shop and don’t have distance to use a plumb line.

      @@FClassJohn I do mine on shop bench, hang plumb line from shop light, put IPSC target at end of stock white side out. Dont need a lot of space.

    What are your thoughts on allowing 'natural cant' (personal most comfortable shoulder pocket fit) of rifle and then using plumb bob to level reticle and adjust a tube mounted level to maintain it in field?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  2 года назад +1

      I know plenty of people who do some of this. The biggest part of the doing any leveling process is making sure when you’re shooting you keep the the gun level on each shit for consistency.

      @@johnh4957 yep.
      If you ever want to have some fun shoot a couple shots with your rifle in one position and then count it and take a couple more shots and you’ll be surprised how far off the second shots are. Especially when you get out to distance like we shoot at 1000 yards.

    I'm leaning towards buying this product. How much did you like it and how good were your groups after shooting?

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  3 года назад +2

      It's a good product if you're looking for a way to do it indoors. To be fair, most people use a plumb line or similar method when outdoors but it will do a good job. As for my groups, I always leveled my scope anyway so there wasn't any change, this was just something I bought to try doing it a different way.

    • @robertquintero1681

      @@FClassJohn I Use a plumb line also, but this seams easier and more convenient.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  3 года назад +3

      @@robertquintero1681 there’s no doubt that this is definitely easier in some cases because not everybody has the ability to get out and put a plumb line up and mess with it while still being on a stable platform.

      Love them. I had them back when they were released and have them again now. While not the absolute best glass available, they’re definitely the best glass buy you can buy for the money and they track perfectly.

    Yeeeah....No.....sounds kinda fishy the mfg “excuses”. No way all that plastic is trued. No way that sliding thingy is trued. Now that machined receiver...hell yeah i trust that more. How can u trust the accuracy of clay vs rock?

  • @aarronher6369

    Why don't you ask them to do a video to show the correct way how to use the tool.

    • @FClassJohn
      @FClassJohn  3 года назад

      I don’t have any connection them other than they wrote me after the first video I did. They followed up after the this video and said it more closely matched the prescribed use of the tool. For what it is I think it does a good job especially for people who aren’t familiar with any other process and for those that do it may offer a little more reassurance they’re scope is aligned correctly. As many others have pointed out there’s more than one way to home brew a similar setup but I thought this was interesting enough to buy and try.

      Real Avid has official an video. But I just commented there, that they do not clearly explain moving the rifle instead of the bubble like this video does.
      Well done, sir.

    Idk man I think I would trust a $200 us optics level and a $1200 precision machined action over their flimsy ass 3D printed plastic system..

    • @Kriptoker
      @Kriptoker 3 года назад +10

      Exactly. Also, if your action is not level, then you should not be leveling anything else, as the whole system will not be ligned up correctly (regardless of what this company is spouting). If you level the action, then put the tool on, and level that to the action (and subsequently level your reticle), it would be more accurate for the 'entire system'. Now, you have to cant your rifle, to make it 'level'. That is ridiculous.
      Or you know, you can not spend 'waste' the money on this. Level your action, and then use a plumb bob to then level your reticle.

    • @Nick_Hunter_BG

      Action is not important. It doesn’t matter at all !!! The only important thing is the barrel and the scope above to be in the same plane.
