I always enjoy Joplin's music so much! The Pineapple Rag is one of my favourites! Every time I listen to his music I'm filled with wonder at his innovative ability to come up with a totally new (OK Beethoven did that bit!) style right out of the blue. A true genius IMvHO. He deserves more recognition as a Classic Composer; equal and superior to much of the discordant atonal etc modernistic classical music which was produced shortly after this era. I suppose as ever and as with people's taste in food, for example, musical beauty is in the ear of the listener.
Although this #2 pianist/composer of all the (7) who are playing this one on all of Utube, I'd sincerely rank Joshua Rifkin's style as #1 - these others are just too fast.

Great piano playing of ragtime music: not too fast but played with a strong marching tone and beat as well as being expressive - well done!
A masterpiece. 👍👏👏👏👏👏
Brilliant played.
One of Joplin's richest rags, well played.
This proves that older music is better than the stuff that we listen to today!
Yep

Why not make it clear it's Maestro Joshua Rifkin?
