Excellent video. Great to hear your comments on a criminally overlooked band. Riot were within touching distance of breaking thru in the UK, playing on the same bill as April Wine, Saxon, Scorpions, Judas Priest and headliners Rainbow at the inaugural Monsters of Rock/Castle Donington festival. In fact, Outlaw from Fire Down Under was an oft played track on British rock radio back in the day. Cheers
Great video G! I have never actually listened to Riot. I enjoy these type of videos, especially when I’m not familiar with the band. It gives me a good place to start! I’m still waiting for your Ghost ranking 😬😬
1. Fire Down Under 2. ThunderSteel 3. Immortal Soul 4. The Privilege of Power 5. Rock City 6. Narita 7. Mean Streets 8. Born in America 9. Unleash the Fire 10. Armor of Light 11. Inishmore 12. The Brethren of the Long House 13. Restless Breed 14. Nightbreaker 15. Sons of Society 16. Army of One 17. Through the Storm
For me it was extremly difficult to rank them because they are my favorite band of all time and i dont think they have ever released a bad album which is pretty impressive considering they have released 17 albums in total. I think every album is a masterpeace at least in my opinion. So my list is: 17. Through the Storm 16. Army of One 15. Restless Breed 14. Unleash the Fire (Riot V) 13. Narita 12. Mean Streets (Riot V) 11. Armor of Light (Riot V) 10. Immortal Soul 9. Sons of Society 8. Inishmore 7. Rock City 6. The Brethren of the Long House 5. Nightbreaker 4. Fire Down Under 3. Born in America 2. Thundersteel 1. The Privilege of Power But like i said i love every album by them even Through the Storm which i rank last i think its an amazing Riot album. Cheers!
Appreciate the list. However there is no way restless breed is ahead of thundersteel. Fire down under you got correct at number one. I would put thundersteel second. These are two of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time. Thundersteel is so good riot v did a 30th anniversary tour of this album. Shine on riot. RIP Mark Reale.
I have to be honest, I’m only familiar with the first 6 albums and a handful of RiotV songs so can’t comment on the albums I’m not familiar with and I know I’m in the minority here but it’s just my personal opinion 1 Narita 2 fire down under 3 born in America 4 rock city 5 thunder steel 6 restless breed To make it worse I only discovered Riot within the last several years (sorta) because when I was a freshman in high school back in 82 is when I was really getting into hard rock/metal and went into a Sam goody that had a small section on hard rock groups and and as I’m looking at the different album covers I came across Riot album but in my infinite wisdom as a 14 year old I thought there’s no way I’m going to listen to a group with a seal as their mascot, how uncool I thought back then…fast forward to 2021 and I’m driving down the highway and streaming music and a song comes on I didn’t know and I’m thinking to myself wow this song is really good I wonder who it is , I picked up my phone to see who the band was and seen the seal , I can still here myself going “you’ve got to be shitting me!” The song was outlaw from fire down under and ever since then I’ve been mostly listening to Riot almost like trying to make up for not listening to them for 40 years but hey better late to a party than not going at all
Doctor Eddie Ganja here This was a great Band Saw them twice 1980 and 1982 I knew Rhett Forrester he was from Tucker Georgia it's a shame he was murdered glad to see someone has been brought To justice loved Mark Reale great guitar player my Top 3 Albums #1 Fire Down Under #2 Narita #3 Restless Breed Great Band keep Rockin

To make it worse I only discovered Riot within the last several years (sorta) because when I was a freshman in high school back in 82 is when I was really getting into hard rock/metal and went into a Sam goody that had a small section on hard rock groups and and as I’m looking at the different album covers I came across Riot album but in my infinite wisdom as a 14 year old I thought there’s no way I’m going to listen to a group with a seal as their mascot, how uncool I thought back then…fast forward to 2021 and I’m driving down the highway and streaming music and a song comes on I didn’t know and I’m thinking to myself wow this song is really good I wonder who it is , I picked up my phone to see who the band was and seen the seal , I can still here myself going “you’ve got to be shitting me!” The song was outlaw from fire down under and ever since then I’ve been mostly listening to Riot almost like trying to make up for not listening to them for 40 years but hey better late to a party than not going at all

A fine ranking of a very underrated band! Thanks!! Riot V is indeed a great alternative if you like Riot!!
Yes I do have the first one under the Riot V moniker, very good!
Army of one is an excellent album to me they are all master pieces since they are my favorite band😅
Nice! I still need to find that one
I love riot. Thanks for the ranking. My top 3 is Fire down under. 2 THUNDERSTEEL AND NARITA. ITS THE ONLY ONES I HAVE. LOL
Cool definitely check out Their first album, Restless Breed, Born in America and Immortal Soul if you haven't already! Thanks for watching!
The first 3 albums are great
Absolutely!! Guy Sparenza had a great voice!
Fire Down Under! End of story.
