Blessings, my Scottish Detectorist friend. Here in the USA, some archaeologists have sent important items to the Smithsonian, our national treasure keepers, and they supposedly lost them. Hmmmm…folks found some of them at the bottom of the Hudson River. As I’ve said b4, your microphone setup is truly awesome. Well done…I’ve only heard wind noise…when your microphone was forgotten…oops. Blessings, from this old man in Tennessee.

Treasure trove Scotland have made a complete mess by wanting to see everything we dig up, this year I’ve handed over 41 items for recording. I was led to believe by my local council that they were going to record my finds and return them to me, but they’ve posted all my finds to tt, like tt really want to see my bawbees and turners. A lot of detectorists are now just self recording finds with photos and gps coordinates using the tt reporting form and they are then waiting until the tt ask for the find to be sent to them. Another great video pal.

Great episode sir!! Regarding the Gold coin, recently in England one of the secure storage areas was pilfered by an insider was taking things, some Bronze axes, a bunch of Hammered coins.
Based on the article, they did not not tell he finders, it was only at the insistence of a detectorist to see his finds did they fess up.
Check out West Country Clegg Channel for the article.

Good finds , just wondering .. is there a receipt for handing in the Gold Noble , maybe a claim number ? can they not be phoned? just reading the comments , and it seems that if valuable finds go missing and potentially sold on the black market .. then what's the point in handing them in!
Maybe worth a trip to where it's meant to be and demand some answers...
Glad your channel is taking off , and hope you find the Morgan dollar before sneaky Pete does .. 🤣

As citizens & detectorists…our duty is to comply with laws. Laws are enacted for the purpose of benefiting the entire population…not the government. As such, when those laws begin taking advantage of citizens good will and benefit due to government incompetence & mismanagement…it becomes incumbent for the people to stand against government corruption and mismanagement. When government refuses to properly represent the people…protest by ignoring those laws that serve only the government at citizens expense.
