Please tell me you have some "outtakes" of swearing? Tools flying? Bolts & nuts snapping off? Rust falling into your face? If so, please post some of those so we don't feel so alone. Lol! Truly love your videos! They are a HUGE help.
Very informative and detailed. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. I can't even imagine how much money I've saved by doing this stuff myself after watching your videos.
removing the entire hub assembly is way unnecessary.. remove tire, remove upper control joint bolt and separate and unclip abs wires to get them out the way that’s all you need to do, you can swing the hub assembly out the way to give yourself enough room to finagle the axle out guaranteed
Is there any specific way specifically to install CV axle or just let it slip in anyhow anywhere, no specific way to lock it in like the torque converter 😮!???? 💯 Lmk ASAP
I found it a lot easier to disconnect the tie rod and sway bar link then remove the two bolts holding the back of the lower control arm, and everything will swing out of the way once you have the axle nut off and axle out of the hub.
Too many steps all you gotta do is take abs wire loose and and the brake hose bracket then take upper ball joint bolt and the hubs pulls forward plenty of room!
It is so rusty because sometime after years about 1999 they intentionally did not zinc coating to protect from rust.....and dam they rust terribly trailblazer envoy bravada silverado etc...get your vehicle unercoated asap....terrible to ensure buyers of new cars after it turns to rust bucket also fender wells rocker panels etc
That poor truck has enough rust on it to make it almost not worth all the work of replacing the cv shaft lol…if they were built like jeeps are it wouldn’t be worth it…but since they have the solid frames on them then it won’t rust completely through for another year or two lol
