Ans - Eastern side of Russia
Explosive Eruption- Eruption like a event like a blast. Imagine a sudden crack on the floor and molten material escaping it with a great pressure and comes out like a bomb blast, attains height (Explosive Nature)
Basalt Flood / Fissure Eruption- They are slow eruptions, just like liquid flowing Calmly. They are less dense and so they cover the land like a shield and make flat top.

Maam, I have doubt in question no. 11.
Magma = lava + gases.
Means, after releasing gases from magma it become lava on the earth's surface. But you have told magma and lava both contain gases. how?
Please clear my doubt...
Mantle has magma and gas. Both come out separately. Magma when comes out is called as Lava.
Mam pls check question 3:
Deccan trap of Maharashtra formed due to FLOOD BASALT VOLCANO.
Listen to tje discussion carefully. Flood was used while explaining. But now there is no eruption, it become Shield Volcano.
In exam, definitely Shield and Flood will not be given in the option together.
