I see that your sticking out length is 0, at time 11:17. For some reason on my machine the tool has a stick out of 5 inches and is there a way to set this to 0? I followed the steps the same as you did for a left handed turning tool and every time i try to run a program with this tool after setting the offsets it tries to go about 4-5 inches further down then i expect it to
That is the position the insert is held for nose radius compensation. There are 9 individual positions, but really the two most used are P2 for a boring bar and P3 for a turning tool.
Press the right arrow extend key and tap "change ex. Tool no." Then highlight the edge you want and add another tool(tool select). Otherwise it will keep overwriting edge one even if you change it to edge 2 in the "change setting" option.
The X should be measured normally, but set the Z for the reference tool at zero, then run the calibration procedure on my channel. That will set the sensor to be zero with the reference tool, then that tool can always be used to set your work zero
Very thanks! From Argentina

Can I ask at 13:13 , In the turret info. tab, in the box of offset No 1 at bottom right ,what is the P for at the Nose-R comp row.

Thank you.
How do you setup tools for the sub spindle? Every time I try it, ends up changing the tool on the front too.

Does this apply to the mill centers as well?
Sure does, with very slight differences. Check out this video on the mill graphics: ruclips.net/video/eTaY3ZG7B9k/видео.html

Yup! This video shows doing it on an L control, but it works on M too: ruclips.net/video/yeCaZwVvtjY/видео.html
