About Us: We are a family of four from Southern California, (San Clemente) #sailing and living #OffTheGrid since April of 2020. Join us as we document our #travel experiences, adventures and uncertainties that come along.
3 years ago we sat down as a family and shared a dream that we all wanted to see come true. A dream that we take a window of time in our lives to do something truly special together, an extended sailing trip, an adventure that would stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Love the "DIVE-ALERT" . . . beats banging your tank with a bungee ball knocker!
Very informative video! My wife needs to get recertified, but I've never taken dive lessons. Like you mentioned in your vid, it's not only for pleasure, but also for safety reasons. I'm envisioning getting the anchor stuck 30 feet below and needing to dive on it. We're planning on getting certified in the next couple of years. My wife better tell me I look like James Bond when we do, or I'll be sorely disappointed! Lol.
Hi Robert! Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed the video! It would be fantastic for both of you to be certified, all that much a stronger crew👍. Totally worth taking the time to do it, with or without the James Bond reference 😜😂
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
That was really helpful! It was a good introduktion to diving, as we are planning to do that when we sail. /Catta
Curious as to what camera, lens and housing you used for your underwater video? The image quality was excellent although you could have used a light and a filter on the lens to get better color. The interaction with the octopus was outstanding. Hope you are making progress on the sale of OliLuki!
Hi Doug! I used our GoPro 7 and 8 with a underwater housing, no additional lens and as you noted no additional lighting. For this dive I was being tested underwater by my instructor so I needed to keep the filming gear to a minimum 😊
The interaction with the octopus was so amazing. We spent over 30 minutes with it. Just so cool to see how incredibly smart they are! 👍👍
Are you guys quitting the sailing life?
