  • In this video McCoy and I swap out the front lower control arms on a 2011 Honda Pilot. The rear bushings in the lower arm were shot but with 200k on them we opted to swap out the entire arm with the ball joint.

Moog has been around for decades however, companies we've known as old timers do and have been outsourcing their parts to outside places like China without lowering prices nor informing the old time loyal customers of those changes ! Although, Moog has been a step above we believe to this day. Again...no collateral damage to the customers vehicle as it should be in all repairs.

You should make sure McCoy wears safety glasses when when undoing bolts while looking up from under the bolts and working the air gun. You can make a choice to wear or not to wear safety glasses but since he is being trained, train him the correct way.

I think it's great how you let the young kids play with your toys.

Also encourage those youngin's to wear hearing protection with impact/air tools. 60+ yr old mechanics are a gold mine for hearing aid companies...some guys are stone deaf in their 50's.

Yea, Try to Form Reasonable Safety Precautions When You are Young. Grab some Ear Muffs when using air tools. easy peasy ! Try to find some safety glasses you will actually use. dewalt makes a cool looking pair in about to try out. they are cool looking. i wear glasses & they have saved my eyes several times. if you like being able to see stuff. take a little care of your eyes.
      if u value them.
safety glasses saved me from - Hydrochloric acid once - it melted a bit of the safety glasses away in a little spot right in front of my eyeball. i was sure glad i was wearing them that day.

Nice to see a young lad developing a work ethic. I assume he’s getting all of the SMA merch (T-shirts, hoodies etc,)? He’s in good hands with Eric O!

These things were known to leak. Honda extended the warranty to 8 years as I recall. We had ours done under the extended warranty. Obviously way too long for this Pilot but they were for sure a very common failure. Great job!

McCoy has the ultimate teacher.. Awesome.
But i sure learned a lot from Mr. O, Ivan, and others. Im never to old to learn.
Going to help out my buddy this morning. A Buick Verona front struts. Found out you need a special socket with a torx to remove the nut on top. Modified a socket last night after i got home from his house. Been working with him for many years. I retired early and he retired recently. With our pensions from work.
Im glad i had a union or else i would have no pension at all. Say all you want. But is the company you work for has a pension for YOU? Or is the company so great they are just giving the pension to you at the goodness for their own heart. Anyway cheers
