Known as one of his most explicitly political works, "Fables of Faubus" was written by Charles Mingus as a protest against the segregationist governor of Arkansas, Orval E. Faubus.       This is not Mingus signing and playing alto sax, but Charles McPherson, a veteran jazzman who played with Mingus from 1960 to 1974.
